[Resolved] HSBC Credit Card — membership fee for lifetime free card

sir, my name is sudheesh, Iam holding a hsbc credit card classic In 2007 i got a call from hsbc credit card section for issance of hsbc lifetime free card, representitive told me that its a lifetime free credit card there is no joing fee and annual fee, and no other hidden charges after that i confirm with hsbc customer care they also told me its life time free card.one year used last year they sended one statement and they put Rs 700 for annual fee, i called their customer care ask for this fee, at that time they tell sorry they made mistake then this amount reversed.now this year they put Rs 700 without proper communicationas primary card membership fee, again i called custmer care at that time they told me that hsbc is not yet given life time free card so you should pay this amount, he shouted me for paying amount, wat can i do.his name is prasad from chennai hsbc credit card section.banks are cheting normal people .i am a normal man, i am facing finacial tight.in this time what can i do, to whom i will contact to solve the problem. they told me verbaly i cant record so please take a action. sudheesh Was this information helpful? Same thing happen in my card also, some Primary card membership 700 + 72(TAX). I have cancelled my card.

HSBC Credit Card — Annual Charges of LIFE TIME free card

I was issued a HSBC gold credit card with add-on for life time free. After a year they charged me annual fee of Rs. 3000 which when contacted told me due to system upgrade this thing had happened. They reversed the charges that time and told you wont get charge me again for annual fee as its lifetime free card.

I also clearly stated that if I have to face annual charges next time then please cancel my card this time only as I don't wont to have further hassle. For which customer executive told me no its registered under LIFE TIME free card hence you wont have any annual charges. But second year they charged me again and upon calling them they refused to reverse the charges.

I told them to cancel my card. I paid money for the transaction I made. After some months I received calls from recovery collection office of HSBC, they told me you have Rs 3000 pending + late fee. I explained all to them and contacted HSBC customer care, their I was told that my card is closed.

Even informing the same to HSBC recovery collection executive that I have been told by HSBC customer care that my card was closed they keep on calling me. They say that did you received any letter for HSBC for full and final settlement. Since HSBC never send me the same I said NO. So they say that account is not closed and you have to pay charges.

Now some people are calling me again and again and threatening me that you pay the charges else come in Lok Nyalaya DELHI for which any way you have to spend money for travel and stay.

I dont know what to do. Please advice me. its more than 2 yrs that they keep on harrasing me.

Same thing happened to me... And my card fees were 2000 (+tax) for Primary and 1000 (+tax) for Additional card.. These people are frauds and cheats
