[Resolved]  HSBC Credit Card — Sub: Settlement of credit card dues of Rs. 21,000/- for the HSBC credit card no.4476-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX

I had a HSBC Silver credit card, which has expired one and half year back. Since last three year i never received any statement from HSBC in spite of several written request from my end. The card I have last used on Dec 2005 only. Here is summary of my complain ----

1. One and half year back HSBC approached me for a settlement of Rs. 21, 000/- being paid in two equal installment of Rs. 10, 500/-. After collecting the first installment of 10, 500/- from me they disappeared without giving me any statement or proof.

2. Despite of several mail for statement and collection of the remaining amount, HSBC never respond. Now HSBC is claiming that employee is no more with HSBC and for his mistake HSBC can't be blamed.

3. Now after one and half year HSBC again calling me and remaining amount of Rs. 10, 500 which was unsettled that time mounted up to 50, 000/- as per HSBC calculation. HSBC are threatening me and asking for the full money otherwise they will send letter to my present employer. Even I have referred this to RBI Ombudsment. Then also HSBC is creating all kind of nuisance stating that employee who was dealing with me earlier has left HSBC so for his mistake Banks can't be blamed.

4. Legally my dues to HSBC should be near about 8, 000/- but with their malpractices they have raised it 50, 000 and pressurizing to accept me Rs. 21, 000/- one time settlement. That clearly shows they are charging an interest which more that 100% p.a.

5. Even they are calling my parents and neighbour and trying to damage my public image. This things are happening for last 2 yrs although despite of several request they are not settling the matter and producing a proper statement.
