[Resolved]  HSBC - Credit Card — No clarity on charges and very high interest and charges

I am holding an HSBC Credit card for few years now. Despite making very high payments, i find that bulk of the payment is going as interest and very little amount going towards principle. When you call up the call center, little or no help is offered. They are not sure as to how the credit statement and charges are done. I went to the bank, met a credit card representative, who was not sure much about the charges. Washed his hands off telling that he has got only very little information and i need to travel to some far off place to more information. I have had no help and i am being charged unfairly. I have decided not make a single payment going forward untill the issue is settled and i am charged fairly. I am not going to pay the entire amount because i am sure that i have paid a great deal towards the outstanding amount and the amount that is shown now as my outstanding is not acceptable to me. Request you to kindly advise the bank to settle this issue amicably.

I agree with this and find HSBC charging very high charges for credit card holders. This I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY GOVT OF INDIA and RBI is not helping citizens in this case!!

RBI is behaving like spectator.

HSBC Credit Card — Huge Interest &Charges

Dear Sir,

Myself HSBC Credit card customer. Myself regularly paid dues.After close of my card a/c Interest and charges are levying hugely with out settlement of my card a/c.No proper response from customer care.
The amount stated by bank is unbelievable and unacceptable.

I request the authorities to take proper action against the Card bank

This is to inform you that your company HSBC cards is badly harrashing for uncredible payments. Earlier also I complained regarding this matter. Let me inform you that my actual credit amount till date is january2010 Rs 12000 INR, and already made the payments of Rs 5000 INR and balance amount is only Rs 7000 INR. But as per your records I have to pay Rs 21000 for my card no.[protected]. I dont on what basis your officals are asking me for the payments. Few months back I had a chat with your representative, and he said that I have to pay only Rs 5000 for the settlements but i dont know what happend to that promise, i never have back call on this point. Now I am getting frequent call to make the payments for Rs 21000.
On a serious note I am ending my complain that take proper action asap otherwise I will move this case to the consumer forum with the charges of false billing and mental harrashment. Dont take this matter lightly, I am really pissed off with your services, now its time for action, its better you do first otherwise i have to act.
