I have a bad experience with the HSBC after a long time relationship. I have mailed thricely my coplaint on [protected]@hsbc.co.in but no response till date due to this outstanding on my Card increased up & up simultaneously.

I have discussion with customer care for more than 3 times but there is no response regarding the issue. As I remember I talked to Mr. Jatinder & Vinay Rao (Assistant Manager) for the issue illustrated below.

Hence draw your kind attention below toward a matter pending for long time against my HSBC Credit Card No [protected]. -:

1 The total outstanding was Rs. 15549.71/- as on statement period 09 Oct 2007 to 08 Nov 2007.

2. I had submitted the two cheques for worth Rs 800/- and 14000/- which shows the Cr. In to my A/c on 1-Dec-07 and 5-Dec-07 respectively. Due to credit of said cheques my total outstanding was Rs 861.56/- as on statement period 09 Nov 07 to 08 Dec 07.

3 There was no payment made by me (Rs 861.56/-) in time, that’s why bank charge me late payment charge Rs 400/-.. Than I have talked to customer care regarding the reversal of late payment fee and customer care executive commit me for the reversal of said amount in the next statement. The total outstanding was Rs. 1341.53/- as on statement period 09 Dec 2007 to 08 Jan 2008

4 I was astonished when I received the next month statement for worth Rs 16708.81/-(Statement for the period 09 Jan08 To 08 Feb 08), Although credit card not used by me. After confirmation from the customer care Officer Vinay Rao that above mentioned cheque for worth Rs 800/- and 14000/- which shows the Cr. In to my A/c on 1-Dec-07 and 5-Dec-07 respectively now entry of BOTH cheque shows TRANSFER TO SUSP A/c on dated 05 feb08. He ensure me that this will be rectify and reflect in the next statement.

But there is no rectification has been done so far and bank charge me penalty, interest etc accordingly. Due to negligence of HSBC credit limit of my card reduce from 104000/- to 17000/-.

Hence my outstanding lift high & high from 861.56/- to 22082.86/- as on statement 09 Apr 08 to 08 May 08.

I am liable to pay only Rs 861.56/- which is actual amount. Kindly check the record and send me rectified statement of Rs. 861.56/- so that I can make said payment to HSBC.

HSBC Credit Card — Wrongly charged charges on expired card

I was holding your Credit card no [protected] which was expired on 01.01.2007. for which i have clear all the dues and send a letter to you also that this was my last payment & your customer care officer also confirm the same .

Now yesterday your call centre executive is calling me & saying that there is minimum amount due is around Rs 420. I was shocked how there can be any due & same is reminded to me after almost one year.

I totally re fussed to pay any ting & tell all these things but he was saying that i have to call the customer care for further clarification.I immediately call the customer care but they are also not giving me any satisfactory answer.

So Sir, i am clearing it again that there is not a single rupee is due against me if there was any due against me it should be re mined me at that time only now after one year by charging the bank charges & interest on same you are saying there is some due against me.

Again i am clearing that i am not going to pay any single rupee.

I have almost seven banks credit card nothing is done like by you by any other bank.

So pl. check your record & confirm me that all amount is settled and now onwards you not received nay phone call.
I am having exactly same problem.... :(

CREDIT CARD HSBC BANK — Chaque issed was not utilised,Bank is Demanding Interest & Penalty

my card no. [protected], which I have never utilised from the date it has been issued to me.
vide latter dated 30.07.08 bank has shown overdue amount Rs.1184.64. prior to this there were several massages from the bank to deposit the amount other wise face consequances, reason best known to them.
I surprised to see that bank has issued a chaque worth Rs.10000.00in my favour, which I never assked, nor encashed the same. This way bank masy issue the chaque of any amount and will collect interest at their own.
Why I should pay the interest& panelty when the chaque in question has not been utilised by me.

But no proper response till date and I receive threatening calls from collection department saying they will Screw up my life and will do lot of things that I can’t even sleep. Now, I started receiving calls from [protected] and [protected] these people are very rude they use abuse language after explaining clearly that I have not used my card and the bank had sent me wrong billing.

When i login my c/card a/c last week then surprised my accout is already debited for sum of Rs. 11701/- dtd 06/08/08 against Royal Sundram Allaince without my knowlege and any information or approval.

Then, i contact your customer care person Mr.Vishal and Ms. Manshi(bOMBAY) they noted my complain and suggest me for written a complain letter to credit card Manager (Dispute Deptt.)

I request to you pls immediately reverse the amount with including charges (interest/service tax etc.)

Pls do the needful and hope positive responce.

And Noted these kind of entries not reflect my account without my approval.

Hi HSBC,
I am really shamefull to have a HSBC Card no [protected].

My signature & all required details Like.. Previous any Credit card details & Pan card has been taken for Gold Credit card form..and I have signed for Gold Credit card only(I hace crosssed all other cards details in Application form)..but what I receieved is Classic one...and even after lodging a complain for so many times, no responsible executive from HSBC has revert back.
My card was issued on 17th March 2008 and now almost 7 months has passed...but HSBC is sleeping..
My complain no. is 5698977 and HSBC A/C reference is [protected].(KMM[protected]LOKM)
If HSBC can manupulate in Application form & signatures, then they can do anything!!!
I am reachable on [protected]...
I am confident that we should be away from HSBC Credit cards...nothing to say more...but I have suffered a lot...

My case is similar.I have a statement showing 11, 000 due even if I have not used it.I had done a settlement of 4000 rupees with them.still the account was not settled, the bank is defrauding customers.

I have approached all levels of customer support but none has responded so far.

I am contemplating approaching the consumer court now.

I was approached by some HSBC agent for the Credit Card. I have received the Credit Card but have never used it. I am getting the calls from HSBC for payment of Rs. 9000 and Rs. 350 immediately.

I do not understand how come they demand such a amount. I had asked the HSBC customer care and also the Bank offical to let me know what exactly is the amount for which they are charging. But they are not able to answer. They only say you have to pay or you will get blacklisted and what not.It is just non-sence going on.

Hi I have applied for a credit card but after 15 days of applying the credit card, I have received a letter from the HSBC that due to some insufficient documents we cannot issue credit card now and even if you have received any then kindly ignore the same. Though I did not receive any credit card but still am receiving credit card statement and call from the collection deparment regarding the payment (towards the insurance which was provided by the HSBC at the time of applying with the credit card). I have discussed with the customer care people regarding this. They said there is nothing to worry and you just speak with the collection department then I spoke with the collection department regarding the same and they said kindly contact with the customer care people. Which is quite hurrible.

Also, I sent e-mail on hsbcinfo and i got reply from them as kindly liase with the collection department.


Please help me with this matter.

HSBC Credit Card — Credit Card Dispute

I lost my HSBC credit card on 30th Dec 2008.Immediately i called customer care and blocked the card.While blocking the card, executive confirmed that the card has not been used yet and to protect further it will be blocked immediately.
I got satisfied and back to work.Few days later got the sms for 43000 outstanding on that card. Immediately i called customer care and didnt get the satisfactory answer about where and when card was used.
In statement i checked the time of transaction and it was after i called to customer care after loosing card.I put that in dispute.
But after 45 days also bank is on same tune and calling for payment.

I have made a total payament on 12th December 2008 but the charges were levied on my account. but my due date was in 6th dec and my bill generation date is on 14th of every month. I was informed that if i make the total payament before bill generation date there will be no charges but iin case if i make the minimum payament then all the charges will be leived and i am liable to pay. the same complaint was raised in call center on 16th dec and Mr.Chetan team manager told he would call me and solve the problem. But waited for few days again i called in jannuary and spoke to Mr.Zabber and he also said the same. by this negligent act by bank every month they are charging me with all the charges and they have blocked my card so would request your complaint cell to solve the problem.

I would like to inform you that I was having HSBC Credit card No. [protected], exp. By 01/09. So, on this card I have an outstanding amount for Rs. 6349.96.
Actually the Outstanding amount on my expired credit card is not the real, they are just Finance Charges, Service taxes & Late Payment Charges. So, I would like to inform you the whole story from beginning. In Oct. 2007 I bought a cell phone through HSBC credit card for Rs. 15623.00 & by that time I got a call from HSBC for TATA AIG General Insurance Scheme at Rs. 10.00 /month. So, total amount was Rs. 15633.00. This Insurance Scheme I owned for 2 Months & then Rs. 10.00 was added more to my amount. After 2 Months I requested to cancel the Insurance Scheme.
I made a Cheque for Rs. 15643.00 (HDFC Bank Cheque no. 592854) & dropped in HSBC ATM Branch in Sector-14, Gurgaon(Haryana). But by 5 days my cheque was not cleared & then I talked to HSBC Customer care & the person asked me to re-issue a new cheque. So, I made the Stop Payment for the old cheque & same time I issued another cheque for the same amount i.e. Rs. 15643.00 (ICICI Bank Cheque no. 985848). But when I saw the Statement then I found that some Finance Charges & Service Tax was added in my credit card Statement. Actually by the another Cheque the Due Date for the Payment was already Over due to mishandling by your Cheque Collection deptt.(They Misplaced my first Cheque).
After addition of Finance Charge & Service Tax Charges the amount becomes Rs. 920.09 & same time I talked to HSBC Customer Care Deptt. & request them to Waive off the extra Charges & he agreed to waive off the Charges. Again I received a statement & found the previous charges were same with addition of Late Payment Charges, Finance Charges & Service Tax.
So, again I requested to HSBC Customer Care to waive off the above said charges but the person said you will get the all charges to be waived off by next statement. But actually I found the same charges with some addition of Late Payment Charges, Service Charges etc.
So, regarding this there was no call I had received from HSBC side & after a long period of time I got a call from HSBC side that I have an Outstanding amount on this Credit card & amount is nearly Rs. 4500.00 in the month of Nov. 2008. So, again I tried to HSBC Customer care & I told him that I have not done any Shopping or Purchasing & request him again to waive off the Charges. But there was no change from HSBC side.
So, on 08/12/2008 I talked on HSBC Customer Care No.[protected] to Mr. Aditya & he said that My Card Services has been stopped & regarding the Outstanding amount issue talk to Collection Deptt. Then I called on this No.[protected] & talked to Ms. Riya & She gave me the No.[protected] of some external agency Service Deptt. Who is handling the Outstanding Payment Issues.
I tried to contact at the above no. but there was no response. So, I tried next day again but still no answer. After 2-3 days later I received a call from[protected] & the person said that he is calling from HSBC Bank & there is some outstanding amount is there on your Credit card & If you will not pay the amount then it will not be good for you & your health & we will collect the money from other way.
After this I wrote a mail to [protected]@hsbc.co.in & [protected]@hsbc.co.in & request them to do not make these type of Threatening & harrasing calls to me & also requested them to settle the charges. But they said in their reply that I have to pay all these charges & there was no response regarding the threatening call. So, one month later i.e. on 10/01/2009 I got a call from Mr. Rangeshwar & he said that he is calling from HSBC Recovery Deptt. & asked me to pay the Outstanding amount. But when I told him the whole story then he agreed to settle all the dues at Rs. 500.00.
I asked him to send a person to collect the money & give the Clearance Letter (No Outstanding payment on my credit card), then he said that first give the amount for Rs. 200.00 & when I will give the remaining Rs. 300.00 then same time he will provide the No Dues Letter to me.
So, he sent his person on 13/01/2009 & I gave him Rs. 200 & got a receipt(copies enclosed). So, I thought that this matter will be settle by Feb. 2009, but there was no response in Feb.2009 & even in March 2009.So, I got a call again in beginning of April 2009 & he asked me to pay Rs. 105.00 & when I will give the remaining amount I will get the No Dues Letter. So, again one person came from HSBC & I gave him Rs. 105.00 on dated 06/04/2009. So, this was the story up to now & I was waiting for a call from HSBC side that on which date I have to pay & get the No dues letter.
But on 04/05/2009 I got a call from[protected] & Ms. Chinki said she is calling from HSBC Bank & there is an Outstanding amount for Rs.6349.96 is due on my expired credit card. Then I told him that I have already talked for the settlement of the Outstanding amount in Rs. 500.00 & I have already paid Rs. 305.00, then she asked me to provide the details regarding the settlement, then I asked her to call on 05/05/2009 in morning time.
So, she called me & told me that HSBC cannot settle the outstanding amount in Rs. 500.00 & I have to pay Rs. 1300.00 & as per her discussion with her Senior person She can settle it in Rs. 900.00.So, Now this issue becomes serious issue for me & I have talked to National Consumer Helpline (Ref. No. 180678) on this no.[protected] & they advised me to write a letter & mention all the conditions.
I did the same but till now I have not received any answer.

Sir, Plz. help me out to cler this matter .

I agree with the comment above.

After being a long term customer of HSBC, surprised to see that renewal card has been issued as my current card (which is life time free card) is about to expire in the month of August 09 and for this an amout of 1050 has been charged to my bill for the month of July 09. I was about to close the card in this month, but before that i received the renewal card and also amount charged to it. i discussed the same with deepa customer card department, and surprised to hear that the amount will not be reverted back. I dropped mail to HDBC on this and found no response.

As per you’re your agent told there will no charges for credit card it’s a life time free.
Then why you are changing I paid it fine also Rs. 771 + 400 =1171/-.
My first time issued credit card was expired after that I received the call from your department.
That time only I asked your department people whether it is life time free or chargeable they told no sir it is life time free.
As I attached here my two statement in that it is showing the annual fee of Rs. 700/-.

Please cancel it I don’t want your credit card, this mail I will put in my outlook for future reference

I have been using HSBC card for almost 14 months. i used to clear the full amount all these months.last month I had a bad experience.I paid up the total dues and a balance of Rs.3, 000 was left balance again i continued using the card. No i got a bill- very funny- the interest amount is 1, 568/-.
how can any rate of interest show this amount- so i contacted the customer care and they promised to send me the statement and they send me a slip, caculating rate of interest every day.

its a shame that HSBC is cheating customers - I REQUEST ALL THOSE WHO READ THIS MESSAGE TO STOP USING THE HSBC CARD.

The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited. I request you to please check my account from last year. I have some problems which have to be resolve from your side.

1) Your service is very poor and no executives have knowledge to handle queries of Customers.

2) As per my bill I have paid Rs. 10000/- in June itself. If my intension was wrong not to pay you money then I would not pay this amount also.

3) At the time of issueing a card your executive told that their wont be any annual fee but in the month of July 2009, you charged Rs. 3000/- to my account. After that i stopped paying the bills. I immediately call custmoer care but they havent responded to my query.

4) Your all executives are hopeless. They literally gives me miss call on my mobile and also different executives call me by which i have to tell this problem to every one. and also the query doesnt solved yet.

5) Because I havent paid the bill you have charged me more interest and late payment fees.

6) I request you to give my case to one of Executive which will solve this issue. As i want pay the reasonable amount and Close my account.

7) I talked to Customer care they told to contact Collection Department. And your Collection Department told to contact Custmer care. My request is to reverse the unwanted amount you have charged and close my account as I’m ready to pay remaing amount.

8) Your Collection Department is threatning me from following numbers.

9) I’m filing complaint against them, in consumer forum and police also.

Finally I’m requesting you to settle my accounts and close. Solve my issue as early as possble.

Dear Sir,

I have received credit card ( Credit Card No.[protected]) satment for the period 17 /09/09 to 18/10/2009 and surprised to note that you have levied late payment charges and finance charges amounting to Rs. 850/- approx.

Please note that i have not received the above statement till date and after receiving the call from your concerned deppt. I had asked for the duplicate statement however which has also not been received till date. However in view my association with the bank I have deposited Rs. 5850.00 in cash on 12/10/2009 in view above it is very clear that i am not responsible for making the late payment.As such you are requested to please withdraw above charges and send me the revised statement so that due amount could be deposited.

I totally agree with the above. HSBC is famous in doing frauds, the same happened with me as well.

CREDIT CARD HSBC BANK — EXCESS DEDUCTION

DEAR SIR, I HAVE GOT A VISA CARD FROM HSBC DELHI, AND UNFORTUNATELY I HAVE DONE ONCE ONLY A SHOPPING IN US FOR 24 THOUSAND, AND MY INSTRUCTION TO THE BANKS WERE TO DEDUCT AMOUNT FROM MY ACCOUNT.. BUT BANK DID NOT SEND ME ANY BILL TILL THE TIME I HAVE ENQUIRED AFTER 3 YEARS, AND THEY QUITELY KEEP DEDUCTING THE APPROX 2000 RUPEES EVERY MONT AS INTREST OF THE 24 THOUSAND PURCHASE, AND IN 4 YEARS THEY HAVE DEDUCTED ABOUT 85 THOUSAND RUPEES FROM MY ACCOUNT , INSTED OF THEIR PRINCIPALE AMOUNT OF 24 THOUSAND, AND STILL THEY ARE SHOWING THE BALANCE TO BE PAID 37 THOUSAND FROM ME.

SIR KINDLY ADVICE IF AND WHEN I HAVE GIVEN CLEAR INSTRUCTION TO THE BANK THAT ANY AMOUNT TO BE DEDUCTED FROM MY ACCOUNT, WHY TEHY HAVE NOT DEDUCTED THE AMOUNT AT THE SAME TIME OF MY SHOPPIN/PURCHASE, AND WHY THEY DID NOT SEND ME THE BILL FOR THE ABOVE, AND QUITELY THEY HAVE DEDUCTED 4 TIMES FROM MY ACCOUNT AND FOR WHAT SIR PLEASE HELP ME AS I HAVE STUCK WITH THIS MATTER,

i had also a very bad exp with HSBC, they use thired party for selling off their credit cards who will not speak truth at the selling time and says it is a life time free card but actually when u take this HSBC starts sending the annual fees which is 2000 for Gold credit card, I got this card in my office at HSBC free champign and never used. When i saw statment they calulated (don't know about their calcualtion) for otstanding of 9k whic was only their annual fees n all.. I never used this card. When i approached them they reversed it now but they put my name in CIBIL as a defaulter. Now i am stuck for loan and feeling like cheated by HSBC. We should gather and raise this to RBI.

I won't suggest anybody to go for HSBC, i[censored] wanna go please read document carefully and take sign also of marketing executie on commitments.

They HSBC initially told that this is a life time free card and there will not be any charges. but they dont keep up the word. they are keep on charging the fee.

    This Coplaint regarding My credit card payments, As per me i m ready to do settlement of card. but they people tease me & my family last 30 days continueously one reprsentative from HSBC Collection centre to my home & misbehave(kuch galiyan) to my family in my residence that is major impact for me & my family.Due to some problems(health) in my home i m not ready to give payments immadietly. i already make promise to them i will give one PDC cheque for Dated 10-07-08 for my minimum payments but they people don't listen me. they call me & my relatives phone regarding that & use some abuse language that i cann't explain there words. they vanished up my all image now they torcher me in my office what i can do i want really sattlement what i can do best please haelp me to resolve this issue

      This is mu complina that I have no9t recvd my PF amount as I worked with HSBC VIZAG from NOV 2005 - Jan 2007 in that duration I filled my form 2 times and I have not got any thing Upto now, its over an year and no one is their to take accountability, I am very sure that other are facing same problem this is very sad that organisation Like HSBC are also having such kind of HR, I also wnat to add the name of Person working at that time his name was Srikanth a very useless fellow and do not have any concern about employees who gave their efforts to company and after they leave no one is their to think about them.

        HSBC GOLD CARD — NON RECEIPT OF CREDIT CARD STATEMENT

        Dear Sir,

        This is with reference to my HSBC GOLD Credit Card No. [protected], that I have not received my Credit Card Statements for April & May 2009, so also the e-mail & sms.

        That I am an old customer now and there is no change in my address, either postal or e-mail.

        On 27th April & 27th May 2009 I got calls (from[protected] requesting to deposit a minimum amount of Rs. 172/-, which I did the next day. On both the occasions, I informed the person calling me that I have not been receiving the Statements, hence could not make the payment. Where upon I was suggested to make a payment of Rs. 172/- immediately to save my account getting lapsed and was assured that the Statement would be sent on me shortly. So far I have not received any statement.

        Now, my problem is that for no fault of mine I shall be required to pay interest @ 37.2% pa on an amount which I could have paid easily. I have been regular in payments in the past. I wonder as to why an e-mail or an alert message was not sent on 27th April & 27th May 2009 or earlier, intimating the Statement details or the payment outstanding. In stead I was requested to pay Rs. 172/- only. It appears as if I got trapped in a calculated manner to pay interest and other penal charges.

        Please send me the credit card statements for April & May immediately and resume sending the statement, e-mail and sms in future. I undertake to clear the total outstanding balance immediately and request you not to charge any interest etc.

          Hi,
          I've a credit card from HSBC bank. I've made a purchase for an Item worth 4590 on this card in the month of April 2007. This transaction was not presented to me in the following month as required. This transaction was reflected in my card statement of Mar'08 after 11 Months. Bank gives customers 45 days in case they have made a mistake and in this case they took 11 months because of their oversigth. I disputed this and mailed to Bank multiple times from account. They failed to recognize the problem and in fact insisted that I cannot dispute the transaction after 45 days. I clearly told them that I'm not disputing the transaction but delay in presentment of same. I ended up closing my account after settling all the dues other than this transaction amount with clear notification to them that I'm doing this only because of this issue. Now they have come back to me after making some pretension about doing some enquiry. They again have investigated only that this transaction has been done by me or not the original issue of delay in presentment of same. Now they are insisting that I should pay up. Please guide me how to tackle this situation. Thanks in advance for your efforts.

            I am Kamal Kishore resident of, house no. 1284, sec.-55, near community center, sohna road Faridabad.
            I have HSBC credit card No. [protected], against which an executive called me for balance transfer i reject his offer thrice, But when he called me many times then i simply agree for the same.
            He called me in last week of April 2008. According to him, i will get an confirmation sms and a call also, but till now i didn`t get the draft and such money and no confirmation call or sms.
            Now, after one and half month they are asking me for the amount of balance transfer, which is not been done and asking for that amount which i didn`t get till now.

            Even, they called at my landline no. and use very abusive language with my family members.

            Under RTI act i want the proof that i get the money or by courrier who receive the draft in my home or any proof which will show that the money is recieved by me.

            Please reply as early as u can, because i am mentally harrased.

              I had taken HSBC credit card which I had to cancel after they charged unfair interest charges and late payment charges inspite of paying the amount in full on time.
              Now after I have cancelled the card, they have been sending me bills with late payments charges and interest charges. Now I have been complaining to the customer care, collection department and via emails and complain sections but to no avail.

              The worst card you can have in your kitty and the most idiotic customer care.STAY AWAY FROM ALL HSBC things

              I am planning to seek legal proceedings in a consumer coart. Need help

                It is my personal belief that the Bank has failed to comply with the RBI and the Banking Ombudsman Rules and Regulation in the handling of complaints. Also in all the complaints that I have personally handled, there was no evidence that the Bank had informed the complainants of their right to take their complaint to the Banking Ombudsman, which the Bank was obliged to do under the RBI rules and regulations.

                We believe that People in India are suffering because of HSBC and its unfair behaviour towards them. We have found that HSBC did not abide by their own Code of Banks Commitment to Customers when dealing with their complaints.

                What we have found is that even when the complaint went to the Nodal Officer, they were asked by the Nodal Officer to wait five days to investigate further, they never contacted the complainant again.

                These are some of the allegations being made against HSBC Collection Department i.e. that they have used verbal threats, intimidation and even blackmail to force people into settling so called charges and the miss-use of CIBIL. These are my personal beliefs and I do have to state this for Legal reasons.
                When HSBC has had a formal request for all information concerning the complainant, they have refused to give the information, so much for fair play by HSBC.

                If you would like to help we need you to address a letter to both the Prime Ministers of India and the United Kingdom asking for an investigation into HSBC’s BEHAVIOUR in INDIA.

                If you would like to send me your letter of support I will send it to both the Prime Ministers. We do need your help to help the PEOPLE in INDIA, so please give us your support. We only need a letter signed by you. If you e-mail us we will send a letter to you to sign.

                    Sir,
                    I got a HSBC gold card in the year 2004 Oct with no first year annual maintainense fee . In the year 2005 Oct HSBC sent me a statement for Rs 2250 as annual fee. I asked them to cancel the same for which they replied back stating that they revised the amount and I need not pay the amount. The card was valid only for 2 years and it expired in 2006Oct. Since I was not intrested in maintaining this card, I did not request for the renewed card and I changed my address without informing the bank. So according to them they had sent a renewed card in 2006Oct which went back to the bank. In the year 2007 Oct I received a SMS from Banking asking me to pay the amount pending in my account as part of annual fee. They did not call me nor did they have any mode of communication from 2005Nov till date. Now they are threatining me to pay the amount. Please let me know how I can handel this issue. I have written to the bank and registerd a complaint for which I have not got good reply.

                    I hold a HSBC gold credit card ([protected]), on which i have opted 3 BT"S one for 3 months and 2 for 6 months and I am very well aware of all the charges levied, But since last 2 months I see a huge finance charges, upon cheking with customer care they say that I made a purchase because of which they have levied so much finacne charges, but I have paid the entire outstanding amount well in advance before appyling BT's.If these charges are not reversed before the due date then I might be forced to take a legal action on the bank.My contact number is ([protected])hope some body will get back to me qucikly as the due date is just round the corner on 2nd July 08.

                    HSBC Gold Credit Card — Unwarranted finance charges and servise tax debit

                    I am holding HSBC Gold Credit Card which is valid up to 4/09. The Bank has debited Rs. 669.97 as Finance Charges on 04.10.08 & Rs. 82.81 as Service Charge on the same day. In fact I have credited the "Total Payment Due" each month in time. Hence the charges are unwarranted and illegal. I am not liable for it's payment.
                    Moreover when I called on [protected] @ 5.01p.m. on 11.10.2008, immediatly after receipt of the monthly statement for my card, the excutive refused to accept my complaint and gave me following No.s: 66800001 & 40422424. I tried to talk to the executive on this number but every time I enter my card No. the reply was " you have entered a invalid number". How can it be an incorrect card no. when I am using the card.

                    my name is jimson my card number [protected] visa Gold, my card bill due date is on 11th apr 2009. but i paid it through Cheque drop box in main office (i.e) Mylapore HSBC bank at 11.15AM on 9th April 2009.and still now that is 15th April 2009.my cheque is not cleared. and u people charged me Rs.441.20. what for this amount is detected.                     HSBC Credit Card — Credit Card Cancelled without Prior Intimation

                    This is Amarnath P. I hold HSBC Credit card. i was using HSBC Credit card from 2004. In the month July 2008 my credit card got closed without any prior initimation. I had made a BT in this card for which every month i'm paying the minimum amount due. There is no problem about my payments. Becasue my card got closed i couldnt check my statements online.

                    I called the HSBC call center probably some 100 times to look into the issue. They said that dont have my information and asked me to call the settlement department, when i called the settlement department they dont have my details.
                    Inspite of answering me why my card got closed, they sent me a new card. and no statements are issued to me.
                    I didnt understand where the confusion was. After my card closed also i made the payment for the month of Aug2008.

                    Later in the month of April i received a call from HSBC talking about my pending amount. i said that i'm ready to pay the balance but i'm not ready to pay the interst and the charges hsbc has charged me. they agreed to that but HSBC has reported to CIBIL me as defaulter.
                    Can someone help me on this, whom to talk to resolve this issue.

                    HSBC Credit Card — Closure of Card without intimation

                    I used 2 HSBC Credit cards for more than 2 years. But last year one fine morning both my cards got cancelled. The next statement asked me the entire amount outstanding to be paid immediately. I called the customer care and they are not ready to disclose the reason why they cancelled my card. Till now i am paying the balance amount the they are putting huge interest on the balance amount.
                    This is one of the Worst bank i have ever seen.

                    HSBC Credit Card — ANNUAL FEES AND REVISED LIMIT

                    Dear Sir,

                    I’m using Hsbc credit card for last six years and in these years I was always on time in submitting the dues. I have never been levied late fees or interest thereafter in these six years.

                    At the time of application their executive told me that this card is lifetime free card. Now in the month statement they have levied annual fees and revised the credit limit from 54000/- to 14000/- without any prior intimation. I called the customer care and they told me that credit management decided to revise the limits of all credit card holders and annual fees will be levied and there will be no waiver of the same.

                    Last month I have registered for fuel surcharge refund scheme against which I have been charged Rs 350 annually. I already got the waiver of Rs100/- this month. Now I want to surrender my card making the full payment due on me but they are not agreeing for crediting Rs250 in my account as I have used the facility for the month only and the charges are for the year.

                    I think HSBC is the worst institution I have deal with and customers should not trust them.

                    Please help me on this.

                    I was in Mumbai in September 2010 where I had a meeting with the CEO of HSBC to raise my concerns about the way HSBC was treating its customers.

                    For me to do this I need people that are willing to send their complaints to me and to allow me to forward their complaints, not only to the Board of Directors of HSBC Holdings Plc also to the Governor, Dr. D Subbarao and Shriv.K.Sharma, Executive Director of the Reserve Bank of India to investigate HSBC India as evidence to support the way that (and this is my personal belief) the Bank has breached the Code of Banks Commitment to Customers.

                    Please help me to help you, if we join together we will be able to make a change in their behaviour (I do hope so).

                      I registered for Do Not Call services during March - April - 08 since I was bombarded with sales calls from vendors trying to sell something. Post enrollment and after about a month and half the # of sales calls reduced...However, HSBC phone banking won't stop calling me...Even after I asked them to stop calling me, they will keep calling...and today an agent from HSBC told me that DND facility doesn't matter as a customer (I have a credit card with them) I will get calls and I can't do anything about it...The call came from Mumbai and the number is [protected].

                      Also, when I write to HSBC they rarely reply to emails...Is there any action I can take against these guys?

                        My wife is holding HSBC Bank Credit Card NO: [protected] for last one year.And we are purchased of Rs.30000 around and paid once Rs.10000 and balance amount by monthly minimum amount dues payment upto Rs.10000 to 15000 still bank added Finance charges and other charges and send last outstanding amount of Rs.23000. We are requested to bank by customer care for closing a credit card and provide facility for EMI so we paid hole amount. but last four months credit card department said to us pl clear minimum amount after we provide this facility and we are paid monthly minimum amount and after said that this facility is not provide our bank And they are calculated its Interest charges and other charges and send bank statement monthly.

                          It seems HSBC has joined the club of fraudster private banks. They pretend as international bankers and their employees act like local blade financiers. I had similar experience of not receiving statements of my Credit cards -no hard copy nor via email. made several complaints finally I have to discontinue.

                          The first experience was when I requested for multi-city cheque against my SB account. They denied it and the reply was we are not much interested in retail ! It's unfortunate that RBI is not taking action against such looting private banks. But the future will teach them the customer is the king.

                          HSBC is not an individual, but you all guys working there are individuals and you are going to face it. The credit card fraudesters are supported by a group of employees. But the back think all their customers are belongs to same community.

                            Hi,

                            This is regarding the statement for my credit card.
                            I've called up the customer care umpteen times for the statement.

                            Each time I am told that the request would be processed within 24 hrs(in case of emails) or 4 working days(in case of couriers).
                            However till date I've never received any of these so called e-mails/couriers.
                            Also when I call up the customer care they tell me that the request has already been processed from their end!

                            I'd also put in a request for a new security device as I thought I'll check my statement through internet banking.
                            I'd to first call up atleast 3-4 times to register that request, only to be told that I wont be access net banking since the card is closed!
                            And the best part is that I received the device!
                            Doesn’t HSBC *EDUCATE* its customer care staff about its policies??
                            If the customer has to do everything, whats the customer care their for, misleading the customers??

                            Also I'd put in a request for cheque pickup facility in the month of April, I was told that someone would come to pickup the cheque the very next day.
                            However after repeated calls no one came and the next thing I knew was that a fine of 3000/- was levied on the card as late payment charges!
                            Wasn’t I supposed to get a call from the collection department if they were unable to send someone?
                            When I called up the collection department they agreed to reverse the charges and told me to contact the customer care.
                            The customer care department first told me to contact the collection department.
                            Upon being told that I'd already contacted them, they told me to pay the full amount and the charges would be reverse later!!
                            Kindly tell me how can you reverse the charges on a card which is already closed!

                            Its sad to know that all these so called customer-friendly policies are only to harass customers and mint money.

                            Please note that I will not be making any further payments unless I receive my statement from the month of January.
                            Also I'll not be responsible for any interest being levied on the card and I'll not be paying it as it is a result of someone else's incompetence.

                            Sub: Request for reversing extra charges debited.

                            A F Johnson - & Your statement for the p[eriod 11/5/08 to 11/6/2008.


                            With reference to the above, it is observed that you have debited my account Rs.548.41 (aggregate amount) as various charges. In this regard I would like to bring to your notice the following facts.

                            1) I never received your statement nor your sms related to the previous bill. All I received is a SMS sent by you on 13/6/2008. Immediately on receipt of the message I issued the payment cheque for Rs.1834.35 (including the payment for the current bill)

                            2) You will observe that I never kept any amount un paid till now. I always paid the full bill amount and that to before the due date

                            3) I seldom use my card. Amount utilised is also very less.

                            Charging me Rs.548.41 for a paltry amount of Rs.1485.10 is not justified. Hence I request you to reverse the amount.

                            Expecting a positive respose from your end. Please ensure that you send me the monthly statement & SMS regularly.

                              this is Regret to say you that I only once use this HSBC credit card and I still regreting to use it. when I used my credit card i did not receive the statement or any alert from your end on time but when i recd the statement there you have put so many charges. when i telephoned to your credit card division they assured me if i make the payment immediately they will wave all the charges and your representative had collected the cheque from me on the next day. Now today i recd my statement i found the old charges are still there also you put new more late fee charges.
                              Again i request you to kindly wave all the charges from my statement and send me a fresh statement with 0 balance as i have not done any transaction from card (and done the original shopping amount earlier)

                              In view of the above, you are requested to rectify your statement and do not show Rs.2279.58 as LOAN ON PHONE otherwise we will be constrained to cancel the card and take-up the matter with consumer protection cell and other higher authorities and hence do not force us to take any unpleasent action.

                                i hold one visa gold credit card provided to me by HSBC Bank. I used that card for one bulk booking in the month of January and then whenever i had buffer i paid them. suddenly from the month of March i was not provided with my bank statement either on e-mail or by courier.
                                to which i repeatedly request them and updated my email id and courier address as well.

                                in the month of 15th march'08 to 14th march'08 i was charged by charged by some finance charges. reason one day delay to the payment and i was to pay 51210.21, where in paid only 51000.00. why i paid late because i was not receiving my statement. still i paid trusting the IVR figure.

                                i am charged with 1198.85 + 148.14(service [protected]@12.36). according this new statement i was to pay a minimum of 100 which i did not pay because i raised a concern over this amount and wanted them to reverse it. i used the card at international airport to buy some stuff as they were giving me the bonus points more then other cards were offering. now with my new statement i found that my finance charges have not been reversed and on top of it they have charged me late payment and finance charges further to it.

                                to which i again raised the concern and my card was put in collection by the bank. i received a call from collection department to which i gave them the history that i have not receiving my statements and this is unacceptable to me. to which they asked me to pay 1000/- minimum and told that this can be taken care of once you do this payment. to which after doing the payment i called up Bank and they have denied to reverse these charges. after lots of struggle they have finally offered me only a 50% reversal on the finance charges.

                                i am unhappy for the fact that even after my several reminders bank did not care to attend to my query. when i was asking for the statement only in the month of month i have received them. i am unhappy for the fact that these charges i would have avoided if they would have shown me any alternates. how long does it takes to send statement over email. it is for free.

                                this is my hard earned money and if i am not at fault Bank just can not take me for granted and put me as defaulter.

                                i seek your help in this issue, i am loosing my sleep over this and have to conclude it early as again my date is pending for 6th of June.

                                please guide where can i go in Gurgaon to get this issue addressed and do i need to hire a lawyer?

                                HSBC VISA — NOt received Account statement

                                Please note I have received a SMS on 22.11.07 at 10.27am regarding the payment of outstanding against my card No [protected] for the period 21.10.07 to 20.11.07

                                1.As per the SMS the Amout outstanding was 12256.00 and the last date was 12.12.07

                                2.I have not yet received the Physical Statement and the details of my expenses for which you have raised the bill and I have paid the same with good trust that you will courier me the same(based on my call to your Customer Care on 12.12.07)

                                3.On 12.12.07 I have paid Rs 12500.00 without getting the Statement and details.

                                4.Since then I have spoken three to four times to Kajol at your Call center and Madhushree at raipur on 12.12.07 and 30.12.07 etc, they have also promised me to send both the hard copy and soft copy, But there is no respose on this till today.

                                5.This is not expected from a MNC bank like yours.

                                Being a customer I have every right to ask the detils of the statement.

                                Prior to this I had requested several time for the statement for the period 21.9.07 to 20.10.07, which was my first statement.and received a duplicate bill.

                                Since then on protest, I am not using your card and I will surrender the same due to the bad services from you.

                                But I need the statement for the period 21.10.07 to 20.11.07 for which I have paid Rs 12500.00 without getting the Statement and details.If not received the same within 10 days I will go to RBI and consumer forum for the same.

                                I have also spoken to Mr Amit in the month of January at raipur but I have not yet received the same till now

                                HSBC Visa Gold Credit Card — Cheating People with tempting offers

                                Hi,

                                HSBC Marketing guys communicated with me saying cash back offers for petrol purchases at Shell etc and also 15 - 20 % cash back on purchase of all items excluding electrical goods & Services. Further said the processing will take a week to get the card and with no processing fees, no annual charges etc . I applied for card on 7 may 08. After 90 days i got a card with life time free with no cash back facility. I approached them they replied saying the Technical team is not committed to marketing team. they are cheating so many in this way

                                credit card visa — requested statement of account not sent

                                i have paid over rs. 10, 000/ as paynents since november 2007 and you have not given me proper statements for the above sum. you charged me late payment fine for no fault of mine. in april your bank went on strike which caused the delay and also delay made by your courier. for which i cannot be held responsible for the delay in sending payments. i requested your telecallers to send me a statement and not to fine me. kindly rectify and send me a corrected statement by courier. .

                                  No clarity on charges and very high interest and charges

                                  I am holding an HSBC Credit card for few years now. Despite making very high payments, i find that bulk of the payment is going as interest and very little amount going towards principle. When you call up the call center, little or no help is offered. They are not sure as to how the credit statement and charges are done. I went to the bank, met a credit card representative, who was not sure much about the charges. Washed his hands off...

                                  Dear Sirs / Madam

                                  My wife is having HSBC Crdit card for last one year. One time she is withdrawal and purchase around of Rs.15000 to 20000. We are paid monthly outstanding and we request you to bank for pl help for closed the card by EMI payment three or four emi but bank could not help.


                                  So, Please send what is the procedure of closed the card becuase of we are not in possition to pay total amount in once time.

                                    i m going to purchase house in shivaji enclave, which comes under ur Tagore_Garden district office. one electric pillar box is situated just infront of that house and on 14th august one person lost his valuable life due to electric current from that pillar. after that the owner of that house has tried his best and contacted to ur office but till now that box is not removed.
                                    i want to ask one thing that without money no work can be done in ur office.
                                    there are many people out side the office who are giving assurance to remove the post after taking some

                                      Hi,

                                      My name is Prarthana Chatterjee.
                                      I was issued a HSBC gold card. However, I lost it sometime in March-April 2005. I had called up the customer care and requested for a card deactivation. The customer care had confirmed that my card has been deactivated. Subsequently, after some days, I got a call from the customer care stating that a payment of 786 is due on my card and that I need to make this payment before my card can be deactivated. I made the payment via cheque( have proof in this regard) in my bank statement. I again requested the customer care to ensure that the card is deactivated. They confirmed that this has been done. I did not receive any statements after that. However, it seems that the bank never deactivated my card and my card was grossly misused by someone.
                                      Almost after a year, sometime around July 2006, the HSBC bank collections team started calling and threatening my family stating that I had run away with around 32000 of the bank's money. They verbally abused my family over the phone. I then spoke to the bank stating that I had lost my card and had also requested the bank on many ocassions to deactivate my card. Also, I requested for proof in this regard that I had incurred 32000 worth of expenses on my card. The bank refused to provide any proof and continued to threaten me and my family. My family also lodged a complaint in the Lalpur Police Station in ranchi against Mr. Kiran Bopaiah from HSBC who had been calling, threatening and abusing my family and me.I had also sent a written complaint in Aug2006 to the Head- Card operations who was based out of Mumbai.
                                      On 17th May 2007, I was informed by HSBC via email that my card was deactivated on 3rd Jan06, whereas I had placed the request for deactivation in March-April 05. During this period, my card was grossly misused to the tune of around Rs. 30000.
                                      Now, I am being asked by HSBC to make a payment of 74000 including interest charges for this amount. They have refused to furnish any proof that I had incurred any of this expenditure or the fact that that I had called up customer care multiple times to request my card deactivation.They have deleted all the call records in my name and stated that I had never made any calls.
                                      They are continuing to threaten me and my family stating that they have issued warrants in my name.
                                      I am being asked to pay a large amount of money on the card which has been incurred by someone else.I had also done all the needful to get my card deactivated on multiple ocassions.However due to sheer negligence of HSBC to do the needful, I am being made to suffer.
                                      I therefore seek your help in getting this case resolved.

                                      Sub: Continuous Non Receipt of Credit card Statement & Late Fee Reversal – (REMINDER)
                                      Dear Sir/ Madam,

                                      This is with reference to the captioned subject, I Devendera Kumar Jha (Credit Card No-[protected], is a subscriber of your credit card (the details of the same are mentioned below) for the last three years. Regarding the service from your credit card personnel, I am sorry to say that the same has been deficient and non-satisfactory. In this regard firstly I wanted to inform you that I have been clearing my dues in time. However even after a long and clear association with your bank, for the last four months continuously, I have not been receiving my credit card statement. The situation has not changed in spite of the repeated requests to your representatives and what I receive is only the false promises from your representatives. In spite of that I have been making the minimum payments on my estimate basis/ or on the basis of telephonic conversation with your representatives. Further after lodging complaints and making requests for so many times for non-receipt of statements, I was asked to pay the late fees and the interest for no fault of mine. I feel harassed both mentally and financially and your credit card has given me additional tension as against the big promises made in your advertisements.

                                      However after making a written representation, I was promised by your representative that I shall be receiving the statements regularly and no interest and/or late fee shall be payable and I need to make the payments only in respect of the actual transaction. But even after a long time I have not received any statement till now. So I again request you to send the statement containing the latest dues (only for actual transactions) with out any interest and/or fine (as mentioned above) so that I can make full payment. Again I would like to request you please reverse the late fee for last two months as charged in the statement. Based on your response I shall make the payment and reconsider my decision whether to continue with the card or not.

                                      Please do the need full in this matter as soon as possible.
