[Resolved] HSBC Visa Gold Credit Card — Bank did not send me Statement and charged me with finance charges | |
i hold one visa gold credit card provided to me by HSBC Bank. I used that card for one bulk booking in the month of January and then whenever i had buffer i paid them. suddenly from the month of March i was not provided with my bank statement either on e-mail or by courier. to which i repeatedly request them and updated my email id and courier address as well. in the month of 15th march'08 to 14th march'08 i was charged by charged by some finance charges. reason one day delay to the payment and i was to pay 51210.21, where in paid only 51000.00. why i paid late because i was not receiving my statement. still i paid trusting the IVR figure. i am charged with 1198.85 + 148.14(service [protected]@12.36). according this new statement i was to pay a minimum of 100 which i did not pay because i raised a concern over this amount and wanted them to reverse it. i used the card at international airport to buy some stuff as they were giving me the bonus points more then other cards were offering. now with my new statement i found that my finance charges have not been reversed and on top of it they have charged me late payment and finance charges further to it. to which i again raised the concern and my card was put in collection by the bank. i received a call from collection department to which i gave them the history that i have not receiving my statements and this is unacceptable to me. to which they asked me to pay 1000/- minimum and told that this can be taken care of once you do this payment. to which after doing the payment i called up Bank and they have denied to reverse these charges. after lots of struggle they have finally offered me only a 50% reversal on the finance charges. i am unhappy for the fact that even after my several reminders bank did not care to attend to my query. when i was asking for the statement only in the month of month i have received them. i am unhappy for the fact that these charges i would have avoided if they would have shown me any alternates. how long does it takes to send statement over email. it is for free. this is my hard earned money and if i am not at fault Bank just can not take me for granted and put me as defaulter. i seek your help in this issue, i am loosing my sleep over this and have to conclude it early as again my date is pending for 6th of June. please guide where can i go in Gurgaon to get this issue addressed and do i need to hire a lawyer? HSBC Visa Gold Credit Card — Cheating People with tempting offers
Hi,HSBC Marketing guys communicated with me saying cash back offers for petrol purchases at Shell etc and also 15 - 20 % cash back on purchase of all items excluding electrical goods & Services. Further said the processing will take a week to get the card and with no processing fees, no annual charges etc . I applied for card on 7 may 08. After 90 days i got a card with life time free with no cash back facility. I approached them they replied saying the Technical team is not committed to marketing team. they are cheating so many in this way
credit card visa — requested statement of account not sent
i have paid over rs. 10, 000/ as paynents since november 2007 and you have not given me proper statements for the above sum. you charged me late payment fine for no fault of mine. in april your bank went on strike which caused the delay and also delay made by your courier. for which i cannot be held responsible for the delay in sending payments. i requested your telecallers to send me a statement and not to fine me. kindly rectify and send me a corrected statement by courier. .from s. mahender

HSBC VISA — NOt received Account statement
Please note I have received a SMS on 22.11.07 at 10.27am regarding the payment of outstanding against my card No [protected] for the period 21.10.07 to 20.11.071.As per the SMS the Amout outstanding was 12256.00 and the last date was 12.12.07
2.I have not yet received the Physical Statement and the details of my expenses for which you have raised the bill and I have paid the same with good trust that you will courier me the same(based on my call to your Customer Care on 12.12.07)
3.On 12.12.07 I have paid Rs 12500.00 without getting the Statement and details.
4.Since then I have spoken three to four times to Kajol at your Call center and Madhushree at raipur on 12.12.07 and 30.12.07 etc, they have also promised me to send both the hard copy and soft copy, But there is no respose on this till today.
5.This is not expected from a MNC bank like yours.
Being a customer I have every right to ask the detils of the statement.
Prior to this I had requested several time for the statement for the period 21.9.07 to 20.10.07, which was my first statement.and received a duplicate bill.
Since then on protest, I am not using your card and I will surrender the same due to the bad services from you.
But I need the statement for the period 21.10.07 to 20.11.07 for which I have paid Rs 12500.00 without getting the Statement and details.If not received the same within 10 days I will go to RBI and consumer forum for the same.
I have also spoken to Mr Amit in the month of January at raipur but I have not yet received the same till now
