[Resolved] HTC Touch — Motherboard failure

Hi, I am Krishna. I bought a HTC Touch phone from Sri Vasavi Mobiles on Jan 5, 2008. Phone was working really good when i bought it. exactly after 6 months phone had connector problem. So went to HTC Touch authorised service center in Chennai - Salora. I got it repaired it at free of cost. Again, exactly on Jan 5, 2009 my phone had software problem so I went to Salora and they had upgraded the software to the latest for which they charged me as waranty had expired the previous day. At last my phone was totally dead on March 6, 2009. I went to the service center and they told me the motherboard had gone and it will cost Rs13000 to repair it. I was shocked when i heard it. How can a phone go dead exactly after the waranty period? I dont know what to do in this regards. I need someone to help me in getting justice from the HTC Touch company. Hi, I am Vipul Panchal . I bought a HTC Touch phone on Nov 2, 2008. Phone was working really good when i bought it. exactly after 14 months phone had Battery Drain problem. So went to HTC Touch authorised service center in Mumbai. They said battery problem, I bought new Battery from HTC delaer. Again, exactly on next day had Similar problem so I went to the service center and they told me the motherboard had gone and it will cost 70% of current mobile price. I was shocked when i heard it.

How can a phone go dead exactly after the waranty period? I dont know what to do in this regards. I need someone to help me in getting justice from the HTC Touch company.

I have htc 3400, it started hangging, I went to service center in pune @ kondhwa all the way from vimannagar. Surprised to see that the servcie center doesnt exist there! They have not even bothered to put notice of change in location. One guy told me the have shifted to MG road pune camp but dont know address. Then I wen to camp and enquired in mobile shops, thanks one of shop fellow told me address. Finally met the receptionist at service center. It seems he is expert without seeing anything she told me that it will take 4 to 5 days to get it repaired, might be mother board problem. when I called back after 3 days to know status she told me mother board needs to be replace! It will take 2 moer days!

The service of HTC is pathetic...

Decided to sell off this and buy simple Nokia mobile!

similar thing happened at secunderabad service centre. they said it is mother board problem. it is to be replaced. it seems to be that service centres do not have experience in handling such problems.

I had taken my HTC Touch to the Sony Ericson Service. It seems some of them are handling HTC serive. The guy just looked and said it is a motherboard problem and it will cost Rs 10000. I was shocked. Such a costly phone and exactly after warranty expired the phone also expired.

had d same problem guys i also bought htc touch n after 4 or 5 mnths d bloody moderboard wrecked.i got it replaced for free since its in warranty period but realy i now want 2 this bloody phone.guys seriously HTC SUCKSSSSS

I bough HTC touch P3400i on March-2009 and after 1 year after guaranty period its motherboard has gone and cost for new motherboard is 4500. Very Very bad experience from HTC. I advice everybody plz dont take HTC phones as my 2 frnds was also using HTC and they also have same problem
