[Resolved] Icfai University Cfa Programme — ICFAI University Cheated me and Given misinformation , They are misrepresenting the course information to the students and taking money from them | |
I am a student of CFA 042143 and taken my admission from AJC bose road branch kolkata . I have done MBA in finance from Calcutta University and at that time I was working with India Bulls Securities Ltd . I talked with the student counselor Ms Debjani Ghosh and I repeatedly told her I want to take admission in DBF (the 1st part of CFA - MS Finance), She has misinformed me that in future there is no possibility to if I want to continue in CFA programme . She took 12 no's of Cheque from me in favour of their tie up loan company . I repeatedly told her not to do this because in the near future it is no guarantee that I will continue that course or not . I have paid Rs 10000 as admission fee . After that I lost my job and and repeatedly told the institute that I cannot pay, they send us the legal notice and humiliated like anything . I have paid my money but I have not given any exam whatsoever .After that I have changed my sector in HR and pursued the course PGDPM&IR. Icfai is a money making institution they are taking money from their students through a illegal way and they have taken lot of money from me. In CFA from the group 1 level the passing % is so low and that is done by the university by intensation, this is one mode of getting the money . I invite all of the students to come together and make a mass appeal against the university . If we don't do this there are lot of students are there they will be under the trap of this university in future. This is one type o[censored]ndue influence and coercion what happened with me. This unversity is offering different course in different time, it is really doubtful that they have proper recognition . We should come together to fight against ICFAI unversity . One very vital point that they donot have any year wise or semister wise payment option, they have only option to take whole money, wheather you continue the course or not or you fail. I have enroled in Master's of Pharmaceutical business magament in May 2007 and my enrolment number is[protected]. When I try to view my result for the month of July 2008. I am asked to pay due amount of 600 rupees.

fully agreed with this statement...! I also unable to clear Module 1 for two times. & strange thing was that the difference of marks was always 3-4 always.

Hi Amit De. Your information is quite confusing. You seem to be on a wrong track. We choose a course basing on areas of interest and capability. The same does not change by job we currently do. Further, you seem to have joined by issueing EMI cheques and now feel heated on receiving notice for nonpayment. I am sure the prospectus they give is clear as to payment obligation.

u r damn true here, this university is a mouse trap, helm of frauds. i was totally misguided about their CFA programme about their validation world wide n la-bla la, but actually their programme has no accredation of nothing on this earth, it actually is not CFA but MFA, no university abroad approve this programme... they dont even accept their MFA... they(ICFAI) say their university is AICTE approved, but any one should make these holes understand that any degree in finance and investment dont need AICTE approval, they need UGC approval, AICTE recognises tecnical couses as engineering and technology, management, computer applications, architecture and town planning, pharmacy, hotel management and catering technology, applied arts and craft, n even original CFA is neither a degree nor a deploma, its a designation provided by charter... but its been a month passed that i hav enrolled n i am writing each n every authority of ICFAI addressing my problem. no one gives a , in b/w that i barred the honouring of post-dated cheques of my fee. in this month i havent got even a single paper from university, neither my I-Card, nor study material, nothing... I hav got only 3 mails from them as of now, one of enrollment no, other of confirmation mail n final of intimation mail that i hav barred those post dated cheques... and if this university is genuine then why they are registered in such a inconspicuous state, n why all their operaions are held from hyderabad, if they are not freuds why they hav a university registration in other place and headquarter in other place... n why they filed a case in guhwati against CFA, why not in delhi high court where they were smashed like anything by CFA institute..
so people awake... be aware of this biggest freud university..
if they are not freud can any one say who is preasent owner of this university.. n who was founder of it?? n where is its founder, n who is running it, who is VC of this university...

I have also enrolled for CFA program. But due to somereasons, I was not in a position to continue with the course but after a period of time, when I again wanted to continue with the course, I was asked to pay Rs 10000 again. I was quite surprised.
I left the course with one more reason as i came to know that the course is not valid even in India.
Really, ICFAI is a money making institution. Beware of it.

Any institute reserves a right to revise fee with passage of time. You seem to have joined earlier but could not complete the course during validity period. Any fee should be applicable as on that date.

HI ALL, I AGREE WITH YOUR OPINIONS THAT THIS UNIVERSITY MAY BE FRAUD CAUSE I FEEL SOMETHING OF THIS KIND WHEN I WENT AND ADMISSIONED THERE I PAID RS 10000 FOR ADMISSION BUT WHEN I WOULD NOT LIKE TO DO SUCH COURSE THEY DID NOT REFUND MY MONEY. ..

Hey i have also joined the CFA program from ICFAI, tripura.. BY luck i hv cleared the 1st group bt coz of some reason i hv nt given 2nd group exam since last 8-9 months.. After reading all the above views i get confused that is there any future of doing this course or not?? pls if any one can advise in detail i ll be highly oblized...

As you passed your group A of the CFA program, you must be clear of the subject knowledge gained by you in the process of preparing for the examination. The CFA program being a professional program requires hard work and total grasp of the subjects to excel in the profession. You have not indicated your concerns. As is expected you must have joined in the program for gaining the specialized knowledge which the program is offering. The program is offered by the Icfai university Tripura and more details if any required can be had from the university website. Hope this addresses your concern.
