[Resolved] Icici Lombard — Insurance Rejected | |||
Hi, We have insured for my father for travelling Overseas, However My father was expired in US and we have requested the ICICI Lombard to Process our claim but they have rejected our claim with a baseless reason and did not even respond to our mails further. Is there any way I can seek justice. Please find the mail chain below Hi Mr Rajanna (My Father) was suffering from common flu for 3 days before he collapsed. Due to flu, he was vomiting and could not take any solid foods. It is natural and medically advised for any diabetic patient to reduce insulin if they do not take enough carbohydrates. In fact on Mar 6th, he did take regular insulin before taking his lunch ( which is his routine schedule that he has been following for years ). Doctors at Santa Clara Valley Medical diagnosed the cause of death as Renal Failure. There are enough records to show that he ( Mr. Rajanna ) did not do anything intentionally that could have caused his death. Terming "intentionally" can itself lead to a legal battle with ICICI LOMBARD . It embeds a different meaning and makes us feel emotionally sad to make a remark on a person of high stature. I would suggest that we settle this issue within the boundaries of human dignity and with high regard to business ethics. Lets not complicate the issue beyond gentlemen discussions. I appreciate your business and look forward to a clean closure ASAP.
