[Resolved] ICICI Lombard Motor Insurance — No NCB | |
Hi, I have issued a cheque of Rs 3507/- dt 08-08-08 for the Motor Policy renewal. They issued a policy dt 13-08-08 to me (Only the cover note). They presented this cheque in the bank after 13 days on 21th Aug 08 and it got bounced. How can they hold any cheque for so long and due to this they have cancelled my policy. On what basis they kept the cheque and never presented it. Moreover, For last whole year I was under impression that my policy is valid but it was not the case. Their was no communication what so ever from ICICI lombard side of any type. Now when I am trying to renew the policy for this year they are not giving me the NCB of 50% and due to this my premium is now more than double. Why I am getting penalised for the thing done by ICICI Lombard. First, they presented the cheque after 13 days, No idea what they were doing. Second, they never communicated regarding the bounce cheque and cancelled policy. I am running my vehicle without insurance and having a huge risk to my vehicle, my life and everyone on the road. Due to this, I am getting overcautious at times and getting menatally disturbed at times. PLs help in getting my policy renewed and availing my NCB. ICICI Lombard Vehicle Insurance — double insurance
Dear sir,We had taken a cover note # 53751227 expiring on 29/03/2012 from ICICI Lombard
For renewal Canara Bank cheque # 293377 dt.12/03/2012 for Rs.6869.00 was promptly couriered for renewal.
As the cheque was not encashed till 31/03/2012 & several calls to ICICI went without result,we took out a new policy with another Insurance company.
Now on internal audit we find that the cheque has been encashed on 16/04/2012 & policy NOT ISSUED.We request that this amount be refunded to us as we do not require the policy nor have we received the same.Kindly help us to get the REFUND of the above amount.
