Dear Sir/Madam,

I, Amal Kannan, would like to inform you that, I am having a Health Insurance Policy in your esteemed ICICI Lombard Insurance bearing policy no. 4005/M/0000009/84855,
claim no. 70211647

I met an accident on 07.02.2011 and there was a fracture in my wrist. So, i was admitted in Columbia Asia hospital and undergone for a surgery. Since the charges of the hospitalization was so high I was discharged on the same day. Later, I claimed the bills through Professional courier (Consignment No.[protected]) dated 26.02.2011. After sending a courier to your company we got no response from you that too when we spoke to your Customer Care Services we came to know from your representative that after 60 days he/she will give the confirmation. But, no response from your side. When we called again to your representative they are responding to us that, your form got rejected and as per the terms and conditions they will refund the payment when the patient got admitted in hospital for more than 24 hours. But, in my case it was 22 hrs hospitalization was recorded.

Since, you have a very good reputation in the market I made a policy and also referred most of my friends to join the same even i refererred my dad's company to insure their employees for the same. When i got the negative response from you i am totally disappointed. You are not asking it is a major or minor accident you are just relying on the timings. If you are providing this kind of a serices to the clients then it will be a big disappoint to them. Insurance companies should be transparent especially medical insurance as people are totally relying on your services that too your firm is a well reputed then you should be more responsible towards the clients. If we call to the concerned, the response is so bad that the way they speak to us is taking our mood to the other stage. Whenever we call there is only one response from your customer care services is "I WILL CALL BACK LATER AS WE ARE NOT GETTING THE DETAILS IN OUR SYSTEM". So, please look into this matter seriously and do the needful for the same at the earliest.

    Regarding the cancellation of my travel policy number 4050/2069944/00/000 and according to your mail on 9 may 2011 I the customer care team was to get in touch with me in 48 hours and today it has been one month.
    There has been no reply to my previous mails and I am extremely unhappy and angry by this ignorant attitude of icicilombard towards my continuous requests.When I had taken the policy from your company executive I was assured that in any case of denial of my visa my full premium amount will be reimbursed without any problem but it seems nobody at icicilombard seems to care after they have made their policy sale.This is my last and final mail to you after which I will have to approach some legal authority.

    ICICI Lombard Travel insurance — Travel Insurance process is a mess

    I bought Icici lombord travel insurance for my mom while she was visiting states.
    I paid about 25k for prem which covers 6 months of her travel period .
    I was told that any cash less claim approvals will be done by 24 to 48 hours and they have a united healthcare group policy in the states that cover icici lombord customers
    Here is the messy part
    My mom got injury and she had to take treatment, we tried prescription medicine and x-ray now doctor want us to get MRi scan , I approached icicic to get an approval. Every time I call them I get diff info from diff people, after a week I was asked to fill up a form and send some documents to start he process. I sent all of them on they same day . Gave them india doctor details to make sure that it's not a pre existing condition , and treating doctor details for any enquiries..it's been more than 2 weeks now, no progress. Worst part is when doctor off call then united health care guys with the policy no provides by icici, they r saying that they don't have info about the patient. I have been literally calling icici every night ( they work in india timings)and told them That UHC does not recognize my mom name. everybody that I talked to so far says that it will be done in24 hours.nothing happens so far
    Icici is royally cheating the customers. I can't even escalate this, the only sour e that have is to call their toll free number , but they always tell the same thing and they can't do anything about it apart from making a note of it

    If there is any documentation missing from my end which may delay the process I agree, but UHC does not even have my mom name in their system.

    Its like we just have to pay the prem, but when we r in need they will not even consider ur call seriously

    Want to sue these guys, but not sure how to proceed.

    Any suggestions will be highly appreciated

    Gaveesh, I agree with you, you are abosulutely correct here, I am the victim of the same, bought 02 travel insurance policies, 4030/W-2900583/00/000, 4030/W-2900849/00/000, the Visa got rejected, they were reluctant to even cancel the policy and were gaining time, even after sending the reminders, they did not even reply to the mail or to my phone, there was no answer, then the excuse was the rejection papers not received, the file size is heavy, they gained nearly 15 days of daily follow ups, now they are finding problem with the papers for one of the policies, the refund has not reached yet, please guide me also, so that I can also approach.

      DEAR SIR,
      in year 2005 i got call from customer care of icici lombard regarding mediclaim policy and trusting name of icici i agreed to took the policy.i paid premium for 2 years and in year 2007 end i suddenly fell seriously ill and hospitalized for 1 month. this is time when i need my money back as i am only earning member and my father is also retiered and hes heart patient,,,intead of helping me the put my mediclaim on hold,,i had submitted all hospital documents and requested them that if they had any doubt they can consut hospital ,,lastly their team doctor contacted me on phone and asked to meet but without meeting he send report to icici lombard.i donno what has happened by my claim is still in pending...sir as i told i am only earning member so this money matters to me and my family.
      if i would have been ill before issue of policy i should have myself approached icicilombard for taking there policy,,this is not humanity and very bad teasing innocent people
      please help me sir

        Confirmation of the policy

        This is to let you know that i had insured my Motor vehicle (2-wheeler) from ICICI lombard general Insurance. On 20th of May. i registered a claim against my Vehicle. But during the inspection procedure, i came to know that my ploicy is yet to be confirmed in the system.

        Could you please let me know that why its still to be confirmed in the system as i got the original document and i also paid the money..br...

        HI,
        I, LALIT SONI having CHEVROLET SPARK WITH REGISTRATION NO-DL6CJ8619, met an accident on 2/06/2011. I took my car to CHEVROLET workshop immediately and left car there for inspection and repairing purpose. There inspector MR. JUGAL KISHORE after inspection said driver side door damage claim can't be sanctioned because it got damaged when i opened door after damage.This is simply illogical and nonsense,why will someone try to open door when you have car at your door-side and there is no space for even air to pass. One more thing, even i am an engineer and i claim none in this world can say the type of sharp bending occurred to door can happen by opening the door. lets put the same FENDER and open the door, if such sharp bends occur i will pay double the claim amount.
        I talked to MR. RAJIV(MANAGER AREA HEAD) and i was disappointed with the way he talked, i mean i felt like theses guys have recruited all ill-mannered guys. He was not even interested in listening to what actually happened he just kept saying "YOU WON'T GET CLAIM FOR SAME". These guys doesn't know how to behave with customer.
        i am expecting a positive action from your side asap.

          Date of policy purchased Dec.2007 policy no. 056/ccsm/1015543/00/000 five years coverage one time payement. Transplant done on 26.8.10. In ILBS hospital Vasant kunj New Delhi develpoed ARDS and remain on the venetelator for 2 months and three months in the hospital My wife donated the liver. My total expenditure was near about eighteenlakhs I was not working and took loan from my near and dera ones for the surgery with hope that will get the claim and will repay the amount and now the company is refusing to pay the claim I have no answer to give to my realtives I am not still in the codnd

            Me & my wife obtained overseas travel insurance policies, 4030/2915006/00/003 & 4030/2915014/00/003 on31.5.2010 and went to USA on 14.06.2010. We met with an accident (got drowned) at Orlando on 05.07.2010 and lost our Indian Passports duly stampped with USA visitor's VISA. We got duplicate Passports issued from Inidan Consulate General, New York's Office on 09.08.2010 and returned home on 26.08.2010.
            Upon returning home, we contacted ICICI, Lombard, Landmark, Vadodara Executive, Mr. Heemesh Shah, for claiming reimbursements under the Policies for the losses incurred. The Executive visited my residence in Vadodara soon after PARUSHANAS and collected relevant original documents from me. These included:
            (i) a copy of a letter adressed to my Hotel at Orlando about the occurance of mishap; (ii) the Original Money Receipta for payment of duplicate Passport Fees; (iii) the Original Money Receipts for obtaining new I-94 cards issued by US authorities upon arrival at New York; (iii) a set of papers submitted to the US Ambassy in Mumbai on 14.08.2010 from USA to intimate about the loss of VISAs; (iv) a copy of letter dtd. 04.08.2010 addressed to ICG, New York intimating about the loss of Passports; (v) two copies of applications dtd. 03.08.2010 filed with M/s. AMTRAK (a Railway Company), USA intimating about the loss of rail tickets; (vi) the Original copy of the Report Information and Victim's Bil of Rights issued by the Sheriff, Los Angeles, USA against my lodging complaint for loss of Passports (Report No.[protected] dtd. 06.07.2010). Mr. Shah suggested that the claim was in order and would be approved in about a fortnight.
            On 20.11.2010, after hactic persuation, an e-mail was received from Vadodara Office, conveying decision that the claims were rejected on account of (i) delayed filing of Police Complaint and (ii) loss occuring on account of negelegence. For this purpose my letter to Hotel Comfor Inn at Orlando was relied upon. I realized that a mistake had occured about the date of mishap in my said letter ( the date was shown as July 4 instead of July 5). I soon sought to rectify the mistake. I contacted a Lombard Office in Fort, Mumbai for proper guidance and was advised to contact M/s. Europe Assistance. We did so and exchanged correspondance with them from November 2010 till April 2011. M/s. Europe Asia insisted upon some documents, specifically a letter from the ICG, New York and the Original Police Report. Though greatly explained, the matter remained unresolved.
            We have now approached Cosumer Support, ICICI Lombard since 22.05.2011 but the matter is not at all moved.
            I will be obliged to submit all the information in details with documents, if your Office deems it fir and considers that undue harressment is caused to me.

              icicilombard health insurance — regarding claim

              myself Amresh Kumar having icici lombard health policy which number is 4034/FFH/W-409275/00/000
              and card No : 409275/01. i admitted in hospital that they refused for my reimbursement after contacting to ICICI lombard they asked me to submit all the the documents even i submitted all the documents . yet i didn't receive any claim from icici lombard. now simply they are saying talk to ttk . if i am talking to ttk they are saying talk to icici lombard. i think icici lombard is cheating the people in this way. pls give me input legally what i can do?

                Iam a ICICI lombard customer since 1998.In 2009 sep iam having a mio cardial infraction and admitted to icon hospital in Dombivli.they suggested for open heart surgery which iam not agreed and gone for second
                opinion. doctor suggested me not to go for any surgery and it can be cured my medication, All the expenses
                were re imbursed by the company for all my medical expenses .during renewal of policy company has rejected by saying that iam undergone ANGIOPLASTY . so many times iam requested the company to
                re instate my policy or otherwise cancel my family members policy.Iam saved the money of insurance
                compny by not going for angioplasty /open heart surgery

                  1. Car Accident Situation

                  Car was hitted in the evening of 2/05/11 from the left side. Front Bumper (left side), Left Head Light, Bonet from left side and left side mirror has been effected.

                  Post Accident Repair

                  After getting the car repaired from Hyunduai workshop (Orion Automobiles - Gurgaon) left side mirror was not repaired / replaced. On enquiring from workshop and thereafter from your surveyor Mr. Anshu and also Mr. Siddharth I have been told that side mirror is not having the acciddent impact.

                  It is very straing to know that whole left side accessories (Bonet, Head light, Bumper) is affected badly and mirror is not effected. Moreover, in the first look nobody can deny the facts that if all the accessories is hitted from left side then how can left side mirror can be left.

                  Insurance people are saying that it is a duty of Workshop Advisor to guide the facts. Whereas advisor is saying it is a surveyor’s job. Between both the agencies customer is being treated as a FOOTBALL.

                  2. Shockers of Diggy (Back Door)

                  Shockers choked due to manufacturing defect and it has been reported on the same day on which the vehicle was handed over for accidental repair. After one month we are being giving only assurance despite of many visits to workshop for change of shockers.

                  REQUEST

                  You are requested to please issue the instructions, duly intimated to me, to the Hyundai workshop (Orion Automobiles – Gurgaon ) either to repair or replace the left side mirror at the earliest.

We want to inform you that the tyre of said car was punctured and ultimately completely destroyed on dated[protected]. In this regard we contacted to the Insurance company to settle the said claim (Appox.15000/-) against damaged tyre but after the survey conducted by the surveyer of the Insurance company they informed us that our claim not comes under the insurance Policy.

                    While our claim is a genuine claim and comes under the norms of the policy. Therefore you are requested to intervene in the matter and arrange to settle our claim immediately.

                      PLEASE AWARE FROM ICICI LOMBARD HEALTH INSURANCE

                      MY FRIEND HAS TAKEN HOUSING LOAN FROM ICICI BANK LTD. AND HAD BEEN FORCEFULLY GIVEN A CRITICAL ILLNESS POLICY FOR RS.5 LACS.
                      WHILE TAKING POLICY MY FRIEND WAS UNAWARE THAT HE HAS POLYSTIC KIDNEY. IN THE YEAR 2010 JUST BY SUFFERING WITH FEAVER HE GET CHECKED THE KIDNEYS AND FOUND POLYSTRIC. IN YEAR 2010 AUG HE STARTED DIALYSIS AND NOW IS IN CRITICAL CONDITION. HE CLAIMED TO WAVE OFF HOUSING LOAN OF RS. 3.50 LACS AND REFUND OF 1.5 LAC. NOW ICICI LOMBARD IS STATING THAT POLYSTIC KIDNEY IS INBORN DEFAULT AND CAN NOT BE CLAIME. ICICIC LOMBARD SHOULD TAKE MEDICAL CHECK UP WHILE ISSUING SUCH A POLICY.                       i had cancelled the health polcy and foreclosed
                      the same was agreed and was cancelled by the icici lombard people. the total S.A. was 14000 but after cancellation they had refunded 6500 to icici credit card division. but still they are asking to pay 9000 to the icici lombard how far is it correct.

                        Hi,

                        I claimed for my accidental m/cycle and insurance amount for that with the policy number 3005/[protected]/B/[protected] dated 18 Sep 2007. Everything has been finished and verified and till date i have not received the amount in spite of several requests. Very idiotic irresponsible service from ICICI. Never take insurance from ICICI Lombard.

                          ICICI lombard is not giving 3rd party insurance policy for 2 wheelers even though as per irda mandate they can not refuse. I approached to branch office as well as customer care department of icici lombard but was declined in both the occasions.

                          Once I got a call from one executive of Icici Lombard about one health insurance, he told me that i will get the benifits (means my expenses will be covered) even if i don't get admitted in a hospital for 24 hours. (many health policy rule is like you need to be admitted in one of the enlisted hospital for 24 hours minimum.) Their policy will cover normal check up even if I don't get admitted. Hearing this I took the policy, and after almost 2 years when I went to a doctor and tried to use the facility then their customer care executive told me that I need to get admitted for minimum 24 hours to get this amount back. They gave me totally wrong information while selling the policy, and my whole money in the policy is waste, because that kind of policy I already have .
                          i have made a payment of Rs. 5500.00 on January 2011, through online to a Florist in Kolkatta, West Bengal. But till date neither he has sent the Gift on the given address nor returned the money (Rs. 5500.00). I have been following up on Phone and Emails, but no positive reply has been made by him.
                          i would request you please file a complaint against such Florist immd. so that he could not fool or trap other people.

                          I have purchased Spark Model LS car in September and it was insured from ICICI Lombard and I have not received my policy till date due to this I could not go anywhere freely and two times I had to pay unnecessary money to cops. I do not understand a policy can take 7 months for deliver. Please take a legal action against them so that in future they will take care of that .

                            I bought above policy for one year only and the person sold me the same on telephone and while agreeing I clearly and emphatically confirmed that I am taking the policy for one year only and the sales man of company informed me that the plan is for two years but it will be renewed fro second year only after taking your consent.
                            My complaint is:
                            1. I have not received the policy documents at all hence could not use the free check-up facilities (as informed by caller) and other benefits.
                            2. Company has renewed my policy for second year without my consent.
                            Company has not given any documents of policy etc. hence I have been deprived of my right to get the benefits provided in the policy. Company is charging monthly premium on my credit card statement hence I am compelled to pay. When I received another call from company's sales person to cover my family only then I got policy number until then I did not know the policy number etc. When I asked company for closure of the policy after 12 months they are asking 100% premium for remaining month ie. 9 months which sounds ridiculous. Even after my information on phone and registered letter they have still not send the policy.
                            hence now I want full refund of the total premium paid to the company in last 17 months as they have failed to provide any policy documents depriving me of my policy benefits.

                              Please find below the content of last email sent till now to ICICI lombard, but i still have not heard anything. This was my 3rd email apart from numerous phone calls.

                              "This is bring urgent attention of your kindself and seek mercy on a middleclass salary class person with 4 dependents ,
                              Reference to the policy no MAR[protected]
                              Incidents|:

                              Accident took place on 24th march 2011
                              Claim : 25th March 2011

                              Till date i am being just given assurances "ho jayega sir, fikar mat karois this the way such a reputed copmpany works?
                              I am shocked , that this kind of attitude will bring "fame to your company" but with adverse effect.

                              Mr. Shrijit from Your company calls me for the first time on 19th of April stating me that"as i was doing audit , i found out that the case is still pending and i would like to help you. I said ok and gave himthe required details over a phone call and he said he requires a statement "as how the accident happened? and so on and so forth. I said , i have given you a copy of police complaint which has all the details right from my car no.,policy no. the entire story of how accident happened and signatures and seal of polce statement along with the properly documented complaint no.

                              Three days later i has sent a text message to Mr. Shreejit thjat i have to go to consumer forum and complain that it hjas been almiost 1 month that i have made my requests, and nothhing is happening , and while i was travelling out of station , i cannot give a hand written statement , still it was insisted upon me that " ye to karna hi padega, otherwise hum kuch nahi kar sakta, humara company ka rule hai".and i have no option but to wait and handover a writtenn statement of how accident happened.

                              on 25th i receicve a letter from your company that i am not replyingg to thge calls and not fulfilling the requirment of statement required by them. I was terrified and shocked to see such written communication , which was not actual , but was with defensive intent as to reply my text message sentto them about going to consumer forum.


                              At first , Kindly explain me why such statements are being asked ?,if being asked , y at the 11th hour?over and above
                              that , why the insurance company is taking so long to respond. I have other responsibilites and work to fulfil.
                              I unfortunnately feel harrased by the company , inspite of all telephonic reminders there were different people were involved , right from the first surveyer who met me at the garage.
                              I am left with no option but to move legally as the garage is claiming partking charges of Rs. 1000/=- per day ? and i have to pay it because i have policy from ICICI lombard and Maruti Insurance.
                              I am moving ahead legally , if i do not get reply and work started by End of the day."

                                  Patient admitted on 21.06.2008 evening at 8.00pm
                                  our hospital personnel (Swaroopa Multi Speciality Hospital, Hyderabad) all the necessary documents faxed to Chennai office.
                                  Then chennai branch informed documents to be faxed to Mumbai office, again we refaxed the same. Upto now we faxed our documents nearly 4 times to mumbai branch.
                                  From 22.06.2008 onwards we are contacting the mumbai branch with toll free number [protected] every day nearly 10 times.
                                  today we called nearly 20 times almost. Every executive is informing processing is going on with in 2 hours we will fax to your hospital. but till 9.00pm we didn't got any information. again we contacted mumbai office again they are saying now fax all the documents.
                                  Sir, this is the way of treating of a policy holder when she is in more risk of this father health condition.
                                  we are very demotivated by your services.
                                  so, kindly process our claim as early as possible.

                                  ICICI LUMBARD INSURANCE — CAR INSURANCE CLAIM

                                  I buy my sentro zing car last year and getting insurance from ICICI Lumbard, Gurgaon, Haryana.
                                  This year I renew my car insurance from the same company and also from the same office.
                                  Unfortunately few parts of my car are damaged in a minor accident. know the ICICI Lumbard is refused to reimburse my claim.
                                  they said they can't give this facility. I can't understand that why we do insurance . know i have bear all the expendature myself.
                                  Note:-
                                  1. First they gave me cover note of renewal of my policy. i continusaly mak demand for my policy. they always says we are giving. but till today i never got my policy.
                                  2. Then after two months they said, mam your check was bounced. But they couldn't inform me.
                                  3. At last my husband persanolly visit there office and then they said, we renew your policy on the basis of same cover note, you done the same amount of payment via DD.
                                  4. We ok with this, they issue again a fresh cover note against my policy.they also said that on the basis of new cover note you claim your insurance.
                                  5. when we make my claim they straight forward refuse my claim. And said to me we are not refund your money do whatever you want.

                                  Kindly help me out.

                                  With reference to the subject noted above , I vishal thakur s/o late amar kant thakur resident of h.no230, patliputra colony ,patna-13 would like to inform you that I have lodged a theft claim against my stolen mahindra bolero slx as mentioned above and after submittion of all necessary papers related to the claim on5th oct,2010(copy of the letter enclosed) ,the company is not processing my claim till now and giving unnecessary reasons for the delay. Further they are asking for un required and unofficial document like (income proof etc) which is not required in the document section in insurance website. Further they also sent me the email for the same and I have replied back to them that is it mandatory or officially required then no response is given back till date. Sir in the nut and shell I want to draw your attention that insurance company is trying to create all the unnecessary possibility to delay the release my claim payment.

                                  So in this matter I would humbly request you to kindly help me to get my genuine claim as soon as possible along with the losses caused to me in due courses as decided by your end .

                                  Myself V. Muthukumaran owning a motor policy from ICICIL:-3001/73165700/01/000 for my Chevrolet beat car R.No-HR-51-AS-5979 at faridabad-Haryana.

                                  On 27.08.2013 I lodge a claim on my policy due to car accident and I surrender my vehicle to M/s Regent Automobiles for further work as directed by ICICIL.
                                  one day after I received a call from Mr. Prafulla Banu/[protected] and informed me that you claim shall be processed as dual claim, one for Bumper & metal part and other one is for car front glass. Really I don't understand that all the parts were damaged in the same incident, then why it requires dual claim process.

                                  This person Prafulla Banu has taken decision unilaterally and said that I can do like this only if you want you can proceed with dual claims else you can avail the claim only bumper & metal part and he did the second option with out considering my concerns.

                                  Still I am fighting with ICICL but there is no response.

                                  SO PLEASE DO NOT TAKE ICICIL INSURANCE FOR ANYTHING, YOU WILL DIE IF YOU TAKE ICICIL.

                                  Sir, A bike honda hunk UP 53 AL 4752 accidented to Mr Ramakrishna Sharma on 4/8/2011 at pipiganj sonauli road. That time this person had drunk. And accident had been in mid of road, he was highly injured and he got died at 14/8/2011. Mr. Shriprakash Sharma had admitted to him in BRD medical college.But her family demanded 16, 45, 520 rs with 7% interst from 4/8/2011 to your company and they got it by court in absense of any avidece that he had drunk or he had wrong. How's it possible that nobody intersted in the opinion of Mr.Shriprakash Sharma whose knew that Mr Ramakrishna had drunk that time and nobody with him at accident time. He was alone. It's fault in your knowledge or rally it's fault.

I had called customer care[protected] and other toll free number which is not remember), they told system fault and transfer to accounts department they also told same things even they unable to give an compliant number too. Now i am facing problem, Today afternoon @ 4pm, paid penalty of 300/- Rs without Insurance, but i had paid insurance online at morning mentioned above.

                                      No other company is doing like this. Even my relation is working in Bharthi AXA. Its poor service from ICICI Lombard. I havent expect this from you guys. Without any proof you people had deducted from my account. You face big problem in this issue.

                                      And evening also i had call to CCare, same responds from your agent. They cant able to provide compliant number also. If its not resolve today, i will go for other insurance company please return my money back. Or i will go for consumer court.

                                      ICICI Lombard Two Wheeler Policy — No Policy received, even after paid online for policy renewal

                                      Hi, I made an online payment using my Credit Card on ICICI Lombard site on 6th november 2009 in order to renew my 2 wheeler policy # 3005/52709301/01/B00. I made the online payment and my account got debited with the amount 1263/- (bank transaction auth code is 081496), However even after repetative requests made to the ICICI lombard customer care for the same, i did not receive any policy.

                                      They say that they have not received any payment, where as my bank cofirmed that the payment with the auth code. I don't know where did my payment go? I need help, please tell me is there any way out of this issue? The ICICI service is the worst and i don't want to do any future business with them, even i would recomend my friends to avoid ICICI Lombard.

                                      I just need my policy or else refund of my money.
