Car Insurance (Sonet Kia)

Surveyor not agreeing for claim settlement stating reason that front damage and rear damage have happened in different occasions, without stating any logical reasons.
Also, no cooperation as insurance is not taken thru car dealer....

Subject: Formal Complaint Against TATA AIG Motor Insurance Claim Handling and Customer Service

Dear Consumer Forum,

I am writing to file a formal complaint against TATA AIG regarding their fraudulent practices and the unacceptable behavior of their appointed third-party representatives in handling my motor insurance claim. Below are the details of the incident and my concerns:

Description of the Incident: On July 22, 2024, while my car was parked in my residential society, I noticed a small crack in the front glass. Due to time constraints, I could not address this immediately. On the morning of July 24, 2024, I decided to visit the body shop to get the crack repaired. I left my home around 9 AM. While my brother, Vaibhav Wahi, was driving on a busy road, we were in the right lane with another car in front o[censored]s and a private bus to our left.

As we were moving in our lane, the bus attempted to overtake from the right side, causing damage to the left side of my car. In an effort to avoid further damage, we took a right turn, which resulted in the right side of my car hitting the railing. We attempted to confront the bus driver at the scene, but due to heavy traffic, the bus continued ahead, and we were unable to pursue the matter further.

Fraudulent Practices and Unacceptable Behavior: During the claim process, TATA AIG appointed a third-party representative named Manoj Sharma, working under Abishek, to handle my case. Unfortunately, Manoj Sharma treated me as if I were attempting to fraudulently claim the entire amount in one go. He spoke to me in a verbally abusive manner, displaying a complete lack of professionalism and respect.

This behavior is not only unacceptable but also indicative of a larger issue within TATA AIG's claim handling process. It appears that the company is engaging in fraudulent practices by appointing third-party representatives who mistreat and disrespect customers, making the claim process unnecessarily difficult and stressful.

Desirable Resolution: I request a thorough investigation into my claim and the conduct of the representatives involved. I am seeking a full repair of the damages caused to my car and an apology for the unacceptable behavior exhibited by Manoj Sharma. Additionally, I request a review of TATA AIG's claim handling process to prevent such issues from occurring in the future.

    It is intimated that TATA AIA misled me regarding my existing Policy and tried to create a new TATA AIA policy (as if it was next year payment of existing policy) by taking Rs. 1, 04, 500/- from my HDFC bank A/c No. [protected] (HDFC Sector 8, Chd) on 8 May, 2024. The moment I realised that it is not the yearly payment of last year policy, but a new policy is being created, I conveyed my refusal. In addition to above, OTP verification was not done from my side. I got an Email from TATA that my policy will be cancelled in 3 days if OTP verification is not done. In spite of that after my repeated requests, My policy was cancelled on 24 May, 2024 (after 15 days). Now, they are not returning my money back. I have called 10-15 times and sent 5-6 emails, but no result (27 days passed). TATA is earning interest on my money parked in their A/C.

      last 11 oct 2023 my vehicle got damaged but till date i have not approval the work due to tata aig team members was very rudely behavior, not proper guldens as a customer not make he a single call there end, and without my any permission he was declare my vehicle was total loss, my vehicle idv amount was 315000, garage repair estimate 205193 and his appointed loss and assessor surveyor mr.Arun naik assessment 175000 rs only this amount not more than as per idv amount less than 60 % as per irda rules when the vehicle 75% amount cross they will be called total loss or net loss but mr. Abhilash chandak [protected] tata aig in house surveyor as no any idea regarding this and direct he was vehicle send auction he was only help only his company benefit not for service customer satisfaction, am request tata aig paid me minimum 50% amount as a idv amount, in case of any other amount to repair my car i will be paid

        Today I want to tell you with great sadness and humiliation that I have a group mediclaim policy (Policy No-[protected]) from my company. The Mediclaim Policy Company Name is “TATA AIG GENERAL INSURANCE COMPANY LIMITED” and serviced by “MEDI ASSIST INSURANCE TPA PVT. LTD. My Policy ID is-[protected].
        I want to tell you that towards the end of the month of May, I started having some problems in my liver and started having a lot of pain due to which I was not able to do anything. I decided to get admitted to the nearest hospital “ Jaipur Golden Hospital, Sector-3, Rohini, Delhi.” as my problems were increasing. I was admitted to the hospital on 2-6-2023.
        The surprising thing is that I was admitted there ( Jaipur Golden Hospital, Sector-3, Rohini, Delhi. ) from[protected] to[protected] but no one showed any interest in treating my disease, but meanwhile the employees of this poor hospital were getting the bills added to my mediclaim policy. A crude joke was made on me in the name of treatment of my disease. My condition was becoming miserable day by day. When I felt that there was no doctor here for me, I got admitted to another hospital on[protected] itself.
        I was admitted to the JIVAN Hospital Mangol Puri, Delhi. on[protected]. Due to timely and proper treatment by the Doctors in this hospital, I got cured and was discharged from this hospital on[protected]. At the time of my mediclaim, these two hospitals probably did not have the facility of a cashless policy.
        I paid all the hospital bills by borrowing money from my relatives. For the last 5 months, I have been fighting day and night for my claim money (Old Request Claim No[protected] but nothing is being heard on my claim. I belong to a poor family. I have given all the documents to the mediclaim company about 6 times through email and have even couriered all the original bills and all the reports of the hospital, and requested for claim through more than 50 phone calls, But again a new demand comes from the mediclaim company. (New Claim No[protected] I am tired of giving documents, now I don't have that much strength.
        The limit was reached when the Mediclaim company (“TATA AIG GENERAL INSURANCE COMPANY LIMITED”) made the wrong accusation against me. Sir, if I am taking the claim by lying then the mediclaim company should have gone to the hospital and verified but it was not done. I have been fooled for the last 5 months. That is why I have decided to file this complaint in the consumer court. Such a poor mediclaim company should be ashamed, which proves the customers a liar by taking documents thousands of times.
        My total claim amount is Rs.110000/-. You are requested to help me in this case. Only when I get this claim money will I be able to repay the borrowed money. Waiting for your positive feedback.

        As you might have seen in my Grievance Number: 5079588, my Mediclaim service provided company Tata AIG General Insurance Company Limited Just trying to give me sympathy. They have made me very sad in the last 5 months. I even felt like crying many times but he ignored my problem. Now my claim case should not be delayed. I have already suffered a lot. Sir, I have been misled for the last 5 months. On the contrary, I was wrongly accused that I had submitted all the reports wrongly for the claim. Sir, I want the strictest action should be taken against ( “TATA AIG GENERAL INSURANCE COMPANY LIMITED” and serviced by “MEDI ASSIST INSURANCE TPA PVT. LTD.) them. I have requested the mediclaim company to give my claim within 10 days by mail. If the claim is not received within 10 days, I will soon file an FIR in the police station against the mediclaim company and will not hesitate to file an application in court as well.
        My total claim amount is Rs.110000/-. You are requested to help me in this case. Only when I get this claim money will I be able to repay the borrowed money.

        Dear Sir,

        Sir/Madam,

        This is to reference your trial mail dated Mon, Oct 30, 11:39 PM (13 hours ago) and Consumer Grievance Remark Date[protected]:40:48 regarding my claim processed. I thank you wholeheartedly for this. At least your useless department started working on my complaint.

        But before processing my claim, let me clarify again that my claim is from two hospitals, the first is from Jaipur Golden Hospital, Sector-3, Rohini, Delhi and the second is from Jiwan Hospital, Mangol Puri, Delhi. My Total claim amounts in both these hospitals is It is around Rs. 110000/- (One Lac Ten Thousand Only). I have sent you a copy of all the bills under this claim amount (Rs. 110000/-) through email and courier.

        Therefore, I request that my claim should be fully approved. If you are facing any kind of problems with processing my claim bills then you can talk to the hospital directly.

        I have already shared the bank details with you along with the documents. Again I remind you that I need my full claim amounts. If my claim amount is less then I will be forced to file a case in the consumer court again because your department has been harassing me a lot for the last 5 months and I have all the evidence with which I can prove it in the court.

        Again I request you please process my full claim of Rs. 110000/-.

          I had missed connection flight due to bad weather.

          They are telling me the foolish statement that return journey means it is the return leg of the journey and not return ticket.

          Hence they are not processing my claim for missed connection flight.

          Please never choose Tata aig.

              I am 65 yrs of age, fell ill and hospitalised for the first time in life
              MY CLAIM WAS REJECTED ON BASIS OF 'FRAUD' ...detected by an ill-trained dubiously qualified 'Claim analyst' from 'bullet health services' ...for Tata AIG
              Tata AIG going by his analysis, not only rejected my claim, inspite of all documents provided, they also TERMINATED POLICY !
              How convinient for tata AIG !, as i am 65 yrs old and likely to fall ill more often, and go on claiming !, they simply find an excuse to terminate policy !
              BEWARE, TATA AIG INSURANCE FAILS YOU WHEN YOU NEED IT MOST

                UnInterested Calls & Whatsapp Messages

                My Car insurance is due for this month and I have already renewed the same. Despite confirming the same multiple times, people from Tata AIG/atleast claiming to be are continously calling, sending Whatsapp messages with Insurance quotations. I told them several times that please mark that I have already purchased or that put me in DND list. But, I keep getting calls. Sometimes these calls are 2 times or 3 times in a day.

                Sir as per the policy Nursing Cover is already Applicable to me, which is showing in my policy. but Post nursing cover disallow by TATA AIG of Rs. 94400.00 Against Claim No.[protected] & Rs. 52700.00 Against Claim No.[protected]. Relevant Original documents already sent to tata aig when i applied for a fresh claim. now also attached scan copy for your reference. sir as per the situation after surgery Doctor Advised for this service and i go ahead as per the instruction by Doctor. "it was taken from the same date of Discharge time". i also submitted Request letter of Doctor along with the Original documents. sir each and every time i called with Tata Aig Customer care helpline and that time helpline people said you are applicable for that as per the policy. Tata Aig can checked my call calls record with communication happened with TAT AIG helpline. its surprise to me sir.
