My Grievance Case experienced on 31st March 2010–
I am shyam dawande, has following details –
• Institution Name – IDBI Home Finance Ltd, apte road branch, Pune
• Loan account Number –WESPUN00008392
• Outstanding principal taken for levying charges as on 31st March 2010– 27,63,942/- ( excluding Prepayment 205000 i.e. 2558942)
• Exorbitant Charges Levied – 4376/- ( 2% on 2,05,000 prepayment + 276 bouncing charges) Over and above , even 60973/- (2 % foreclosure charges +taxes )
• Disclosure of the terms and conditions in the signed agreement – No any
Explanation –
The officer and Branch Manager, reacted irresponsibility about giving the clarity of the clause for which they were charging the extra amount to me.
I am holding an account with the above mentioned institution, since April 2008. I had given a prepayment cheque of 2,05,000/- to the bank dated 11/03/2010. When I went to the branch for the foreclosure of my loan on 31st March 2010.
Mr. xxxxx told – on 31st March 2010.
• You cannot be able to pay 2 cheques in a one month i.e. prepayment and Final foreclosure cheques. Hence I will be able to accept your cheque only after 1st April 2010.
• Hence you need to pay an EMI for the April Month too i.e. 27358 EMI + 2% of outstanding principal + tax.
• The clause was not mentioned in my Signed agreement.
• He was not able to give this in writing. And advised to contact , Branch Manager

Mr .xxxxxxx told – on 31st March 2010

• Please come on first week of April, Now I am busy, all the necessary clarification and letter in writing will be given by me.
• Please don’t harass us now.
• When I was asking for a clarification again, and the written clause in agreement , why this was charged, he told wait for 10 mins outside.
xxxxxxxxx advised –
• You don’t have to pay entire EMI but, the amount paid by you as a prepayment – 205000/-, you need to pay 2% foreclosure charges (4100)+ bouncing charges (276).
• Give me a letter, to consider this as a special case and mention in that, it was advised to you, that you cannot do a prepayment and preclosure charges in one Month. Though it was not ADVISED by xxxxx.
• When I asked for the justification for 2% on 205000, he told. I am saving your ENTIRE EMI,this is a small amount, you need to pay. You need to minimum this amount. Else come on April Month and pay entire Amount EMI + Foreclosure charges +tax.

Issues –
• Why I was charged 2% on already,prepayment done 2,05,000 even it was not mentioned in the agreement?
• In private banks, while making a final foreclosure, I am supposed to pay interest diff + applicable foreclosure charges mentioned according to the signed agreement only.
• Why Even I was charged 2 % foreclosure charges on a principal outstanding even?
• Why my concerns were not taken into consideration?
• Why I was told to write a letter even it was not told to me
• Why I was misguided to pay for an EMI of April?
• Why I was told to come in Next Month?
• Why the bank didn’t give clause confirmation in writing?


Monetary loss –
• I paid this amount to the bank i.e. foreclosure charges of 60973+276 + 4100 on an outstanding principal of 2558942/- as on 31 st March 2010.
• I paid for foreclosure charges + charges on prepayment + bouncing charges + tax.
• Officer and branch manager didn’t guide me properly under the “ fair practice code” of the IDBI.
• There was no any such clause mentioned against the money demanded from me.







Assistance needed –

• Refund of my excessively paid amount i.e. 2 % on prepayment + bouncing charges
• Refund of excessively charged 2% on the Total Principal outstanding.
• Scrutiny against clarity of the agreement clause AGAINST Money demanded.
• Being in the financial service industry, I was told to write a falsifying letter even I was not told for the same.
• Irresponsible nature of the xxxxxxx
• Strict action against Mr.xxxxx and Mr. xxxxxxx

      Today I am posting this complaint, since I am very much disappointed with the unprofessional behavior from their (IDBI) esteemed organization’s staff.

      Let me explain you the entire episode.


      I do have a saving account with IDBI bank sector 63, NOIDA branch, activated on April 2010. Few days back, I tried to swipe my debit card in a restaurant, and it did not work. I was little worried about the balance amount in my account and rushed to check the balance amount in an ATM. I found that there was balance around Rs. 6700.00 on that moment but I was not able to retrieve it. Consequently, I had to call the customer care department and enquired why it’s not working. The executive conveyed that my account is obstructed due to some technical reason. As usual, they recommended me to contact my respective branch to peruse further.


      Immediately I called up the branch land line number[protected] and explained all to an officer. The officer was not at all bothered what I was saying; also she kept on telling me that she is checking my account. I was asked to be online and it took more than 10-12 minutes for her to tell me that my account has been blocked due to non-delivery of cheque book.

      The story starts since the doubts rise from here:



      1. How your account could be blocked if the courier company does not deliver the cheque book.

      2. What is the relation between cheque book and freezing an account?

      3. If so, doesn’t bank need to inform the customer who might have fallen in big trouble because of this kind of non-transparency.

      4. What if customer herself informs the branch via phone and verifies all her details. Still, the account will be kept in the same mode (freez)?


      Next day I went to the branch caring my ID proof, resident proof, company ID and four other documents which were delivered to my communication address earlier. I showed all the documents to Mr. Mukesh (ASM) who pretended to be a manager and tried to give me so called commands like I should have received the shipment (cheque book sent by bank). He indeed showed his non customer centric attitude as well as helplessness behavior telling me that he can’t do anything. Mr. Mukesh and other female officer repeatedly explained me that the account cannot be reactivated until the cheque book is delivered to my address. It was down to my luck again when I tried to explain him that I have received all the other 4 shipments earlier sent by bank and I showed all to him. In spite of doing so, I was forced to agree the meaningless concepts he was repeatedly interpreting: “The fifth important document is cheque book and without it no one has the access to activate your account, nor the branch head, neither regional head.” The courier company has blocked my saving account and only the courier company has the authority to unblock my account added by Mr. Mukesh.


      Please see the above statement carefully since it shows how much your officers are concerned about customers’ issue. Mr. Mukesh and the other female officer sitting next to him was so much policy & procedure oriented that they were not at all bothered to listen me. Indeed, it was rather insulting than humiliation. Even I indicated that the account can be opened by branch Head (by using his own access) in the condition similar to my case or in dormant condition. But, he (Mr. Mukesh) was more with his rigid attitude



      Sir I am working with an esteemed organization called Metrix Web Services Pvt. Ltd and our organization chosen IDBI Sector 63 only for its corporate relationship, but I believe now that your officer like Mr. Mukesh creates a second thought on the reliability of IDBI bank by doing above kind of behavior.


      Sir, you can know about me from your operation officer Ms. Pooja who helped opening my account within your branch. My company offered me to go with salary account however she convinced me to go with a saving account which I fully appreciated. I found only Ms Pooja had have the willingness to help me, not anybody else. I requested Mr. Mukesh to provide me Email IDs of Branch Head, Cluster Head, and yours too, but he refused instantly and asked me contact customer care. I have already waited for more then 12 business days but no action has been taken so far, still my account is in dormant condition.


      No doubt I shall inform this kind of neglectful behavior of IDBI bank employees who really does not deserve this type of high responsible job. I am clueless at this moment and probably I would not be having any other option apart from raising this issue to consumer forum.

      IDBI Bank — Non customer centric attitude

        I have closed my loan account (# [protected]) and given all the required due amount on 19-Apr-10. But I didn't get back my all submitted documents so far. Only few original copies have been returned back, but all other documents have not yet returned. I have requested bank's customer care multiple times, but didn't get any fruitful solutions from them.These documents are very much urgent to me. I have to return back all these documents to the promoter, otherwise he will not return back my money which is huge amount.

        I am holding a current A/C at IDBI, Charminar Branch. I would like to bring to the notice of other consumers that IDBI is very poor in giving service to the consumer. I had experienced this with one of the executive MD. Mustafa Ali. Just sugary words and fooling consumers. On approaching the branch you get the same. And on calling the consumer grievance center you get buttered with more care.
        Since two months I have been complaining for activation of Net Banking but till date no response just dates.
        I request DC to bring this issue to the notice of other consumers in Hyderabad specially so that no one else gets cheated.

          Dear Sir,

          I have a SB a/c with your IDBI bank my SB a/c no. is [protected] branch with Sector-18, Noida. On 11.05.2010 Rs. 2980/- was deducted from my account without informing me. I immediate called to your customer care he told me that you have not maintained Rs. 5000/- month so we had deducted Rs. 745/- as AQB i.e. 04 times which comes to rs. 2980/-. I found that IDBI bank is not carying the customers without information why they had deducted these charges from my account. So, sir please waiver me of Rs. 2980/-.

            Respected Madam,

            I, Rajneesh Madhok, Registered Member Core- Consumer Online Resource & Empowerment Centre & State General Secretary, National RTI Forum resident of B-xxx/63, Nehru Nagar, St. No. 2, Railway Road, Phagwara hereby request you to please look in to the complaint received from an Account holder of your Phagwara Branch, Mr. Kamal Kishore Saving Bank Account No. 6569. The contents of his complaint are as under:

            1. That Mr. Kamal Kishore is maintaining the Savings Account with IDBI branch of Phagwara from the last 6-7 years. As his name signifies he is actually “Lotus” and has not having any problem from the branch from so many years and has great regard to the Management for maintaining discipline in the branch so far.

            2. On April 27, 2010 sent his employee to Phagwara IDBI branch to deposit Rs 40,000/- in cash and to get 8 (Eight) Demand Drafts issued for Rs 4,700/- each.

            3. Mr. Kamal Kishore’s employee reached at Phagwara branch exactly at 2:30 P.M. but the cashier of the branch did not accepted the deposit amount of Rs 40,000/- up till 4-00 P.M.

            4. The cashier of the branch keep on harassing the customer on one pretext or other. The cashier was saying that there are few soiled currency notes in the amount handed over to deposit. My employee said that if there are some soiled currency notes then you please hand over that notes to me, I shall get those notes changed. The cashier not accepted his request and told that it is not our business to sort out the soiled currency notes. Go and sort out those currency notes.

            5. On the refusal of the cashier to accept the cash, I made a telephone call to the Branch Manger and requested him that the notes those are unaccepted by the cashier kindly get those sort out and arrange to exchange those currency notes from me. I shall be honoured if you kindly get the arrangement to exchange the soiled notes from me.

            6. On Mr. Kamal Kishore’s repeated requests the Branch Manager rejected his appeal and misbehaved with him and rejected my pleas even.

            7. After 1:30 hors i.e. at 4-00 P.M. On Branch Manger’s refusal to accept cash Mr. Kamal Kishore went personally to request the Branch Manager to kindly accept the cash but the Mananger inspite of cooperating with the customer misbehaved with Mr. Kamal Kishore.

            8. Mr. Kamal Kishore is the old customer of the IDBI Bank and helped the bank in getting new accounts opened in IDBI bank in four numbers having huge balance and Mr. Kamal Kishore is also maintaining De-mat Account with IDBI Bank also.

            9. As Mr. Kamal Kishore has to apply for Family Visa in Australian Embassy, due to the Highhandedness and harassment of IDBI Bank’s Phagwara branch he could not file the application before the Australian Embassy for issuance of Visa on 28th April 2010.

            10. Due to misbehaviour and mental agony of the Branch Manager Mr. Kamal Kishore has to suffer mentally, physically and has to suffer financial loss.

            Prayer:

            It is prayed to please look in to the matter and do the needful to get justice to Mr. Kamal Kishore.

              I had availed staff loans for housing, vehicle from my employer - Bank of India where my wife Mrs. Smita Milind Mujumdar, also a Bank of India employee, was guarantor. I have closed all my loan accounts in June/July 2009. But the name of my wife is appearing in the list of defaulters of CIBIL, and hence IDBI Home Finance are not accepting my wife as co-borrower/guarantor to my daughter who wants to avail home loan from them.
              home loan is in the name of husband.. he is not paying EMI.It decame NPI.Wife paid e EMIs & no it is out of NPA.Wife paid Rs 2.5 lacks.
              Husband is trying to sell the flat.Flat is in the possession of wife & she is living with 10 yr son.Husband is living in other city & job less.
              Can wife approach IDBI to make her coborrower as she has paid loan EMIs & assures to pay EMIs regularly as she has to live in flat.

                Bonds are issued with lot of assurances to raise fund from public, however, at the time of maturity or prematurity investors have nowhere to go. At least there should be online tracking of the status of refund.
                This should be made compulsory under govt intervention or court.

                      So, I have returned above mentioned cheque with the written request to Data Matics Financial Software & Services Ltd.
                      But till today i have neither received the above cheque of Rs.58 nor the information about the correction of my SB account no.

                        I have taken home loan from IDBI home finance Ltd. Branch - Dadar
                        Case No: MUMDAD0003311. - Vishal Shah
                        Current rate of interest is 10.25%.
                        Between January 2010 to Feb 2010. The bank has reduced the ROI to few clients.
                        I came to know from the branch person.
                        When I approach the branch to provide the same facility to me and also inform why the other
                        clients are not been informed the same. I got the reply stating it is upto branch discretion.
                        I asked did any circular communicated to the branch about the same, reply got it should not be aware to clients. The branch has reduced the ROI to selective client which might be of thier interest.

                        i had approach the following concern person through phone and email but till date no official reply on phone say it is not necessary to reply since i am not the one client.
                        1) Branch Manager - Kiran Patel.
                        2) Regional Manager - M.Mathai
                        3) Corporate Office (pune) - Chandrashekar Hiremat.

                        Responsible authority is concerned to reply any communciation so far.

                        It seems that intention are to attract customer with competitive rate of interest and later will not reduce to the marked rate. (In this case they will say IDBI Homefinance discount rate is less to existing customer)

                        To new customer they are giving 4% discount rate but in later years they will give half or less the current ROI.

                        Be aware about the terms and conditions during approach or taking loan.

                        I have also taken loan from IDBI Homefinance, Pune branch in 2008.
                        They offered me ROI 11.5% at initial condition.
                        Afterwards it has been reduced to 10-10.25%.

                        Still this ROI is too high compared to other banks.
                        ICICI & HDFC is having facility of spreading interests rate (i.e reducing ROI by paying some charges)
                        .
                        I demanded same or similar facility, to reduce my ROI. But they told me that they are not having any such scheme.
                        I am not able to understand the way by which IDBI will reduce ROI for me.
                        Please suggest?

                        I am Home Loan customer of IDBI Home Finance from Dec -2006.
                        Since then I am paying my Installment on 5th of every month regularly.
                        I have given an ECS mandate for the same.
                        This time I have not seen any debit in my account on 5th so on 6th I sent a mail to Deepa Kadam, bank executive whom I used to co ordinate earlier for any request.
                        I have not received any reply from her till date, so yesterday I send a mail to branch manager Mr. Kiran Patel with the same request.
                        Neither he respond so I tried calling on the tele phone number which is listed on IDBI Home finance website, but none of the Phone were working.
                        Finally I called to you corporate office, where I come to know regarding merger of IDBI Home Finance into IDBI Bank, and I got a number and mail ID of Mr. Subodh Kuckian.
                        I tried calling him on[protected] but no one was picking the phone. So I called back to corporate office again and finally I got mobile number of Mr. Kiran Patel.

                        Now Mr. Kiran Patel has inform me that new Management has changed the policy and they will execute all the ECS or PDC transaction on last date of each month in very rude fashioned. ( I agree that I took a loan from his company so he has rights to talk to me like this even when I am talking to him politely. His language was not any better than a collection agent, I really don't know why?)

                        I requested him it will not convenient for me to pay the installment on the last date, and I prefer to have my Installment date on 5th only, where he respond "Nothing doing, this is Management decision only and you have to arrange the fund on last date of each month.
                        I was trying to explain him my genuine concern, but his attitude was more like a 'Least bothered and kind of do what ever you want or may be like why don't you shut your account and get lost and stop troubling me ( he verbally haven't said all this but was sounding like this only). He even told me why don't you give complain in writing and I'll give you answer in professional manner which you will understand, as if nothing will happened to him. He even told me you contact to the person who gave you my number, I don't bother.


                        My only point and request to you is " I would like to keep my Installment date as 5th of every month" please can you make sure if I can continue with it.

                        And till date I was getting good support from your executives and staff will it be continue or now we will have to deal with people like Kiran Patel.

As Mr. Kannan told to me on 19/03/2010. i had submit the no due & no objection certificate of the particular bank on 27/3/2010. Then he promise to me your loan will be sanction with in the april 1st week but still there is no reply or any phone call to me , pls give feed back as soon as possible.

                              Am Sourabh From Cochin, By mistake I have taken a mobile connection with Vodafone (Company Connection) around 5 months back with an average remittance of 1500 Rs per month. I have Activated 99 Rs plan(15000 local Msgs free ) which was requested on 9th march 2010 as per the Promotional call from your Customer care . so on the basis of that I activated for the same
                              I as a customer never believed that that was a trap from your side end of the day I got charged for all the sms which I have sent around 650 Rs . So I contacted your customer service for the same and the person took my call said “Sorry sir it I was a system error” and he committed that I will get the revisal. On the basis of that I paid only the rest of amount ie 1200. On 9th April 2010 Evening Am surprisingly came to know that my “ SIM CARD REGISTRATION HAS FAILED” Which out intimating me at least . Am asking a simple question How can you justify your Punch line “ WE are happy to help you”? Its better to Rename it Happy to _uck You? Yes I mean it .
                              After all this troubles I contacted your Palarivattom Vodafone office for getting your Belated service, even I contacted the store manager also and she said the “When you are getting a communication from the Customer service(111) doesn’t mean that you have to pay only Rs 1200.” And she said 99 Rs Plan doesn’t mean all my 15000 local msgs wont be free and per day limit for my free Sms Bracket is 35 msgs only so i irritated again because they never mentioned the same before about this bracket .
                              Am asking a simple Question It this your Selling Technique? Take it from my heart this is nothing but cheating the customer.

                                On 18-03-10, during my visit to Mumbai, I went to an ATM of IDBI bank Ltd., near Vasai road railway station at around 22:05 hrs. I tried to withdraw a sum of Rs. 1000/- from the ATM, using my ATM card (of Punjab National Bank, with card no.[protected], A/C no. - [protected]). However that transaction was declined by the ATM. However, the said amount had been deducted from my account.

                                On returning to delhi, I filed a complaint in my bank regarding this. However on their enquiry the IDBI bank has rejected the complaint and have told that the transaction was successful.
                                Thus I had incurred a Loss of Rs. 1000/ due to negligience of IDBI bank and the malfunctioning of their ATM.

                                    IDBI capital Market services limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of IDBI Bank and has been non compliant in the matter of implemmnetation of PF act, It had selecetively exclused about 170 employees for teh period from September 2007 to December 2009. All other employees wre covered and these persons did not fall in teh exempted/ excluded category as per the Act.It isn anct of Volunr=tary non compliance that too by an enterprise falling under the aigis of Central Government. The Managing Director Nagendra Bhatnagar is personally resposible for the same. The HR person who tried to correct the postion was dorced to resign from the services of the services of the company.

                                    There was an objection in teh audit also,but some how they have managed the same

                                    Congratulations! Finally justice prevailed & truth triumphed. On 11th June'10, Mr Nagendra Bhatnagar, the fraudulant & tyrant MD of IDBI Capital Market Services Ltd who has been at the helm of affairs for the last 2 years has been made to pay for all his sins & misdeeds in his own currency and he is on the verge of an uncerimonious exit with appointment of his successor by the board of IDBI Bank even without giving any prior notice to him.
                                    I strongly disagree to this, there is no such information with us

                                      Please careful with your money with IDBI. IDBI having lot of Fraud account.

                                      If you not watch your balance they Transfer fund to Fraud account and sharing the monvey with Bank staff.

                                      If you find and ask this transfer they not respond properly. The simly told to make complinent with Police. When police ask fraud account details with out any doucment that account open and you can not find that address also.

                                      Pl. withdraw all your deposit from IDBI bank and deposit in any nationalised bank

                                      IDBI Bank - Coimbatore — Fraud Transfer from IDBI to IDBI

                                      IDBI bank all over india open Fraud account with help of staff. When customer having they do fraud tranfer to another brach fraud account and enjoying with other money.
