I have been using Idea Mobile Services from a very long time and it would not be incorrect to say that I am a loyal Idea Customer.
Unfortunately, this time I have encountered a very strange problem.
I was using Blackberry phone from past 2 years and for this I was using the BIS plan of Rs 399/- per month.
I switched to Iphone 4 about 2weeks ago and requested to terminate the BIS plan on my number.
BIS plan has been terminated.
In order to use, internet on mobile I requested to activate the 3G plan of Rs 599/- per month.
Starting from 30th Jan'13 to 10th Jan'13, I have been everyday calling up the idea customer care centre to process my request and activate the service on my number. But each time they try to activate it at their end, they are not able to do so because of some technical issues pertaining exclusively to my number.
I have visited the IDEA showroom several times, and they face a similar problem too.
I was asked to message "ACT3G599" to 12345 and to this I get the following reply-
" Dear Subscriber, You are mot eligible for this plan or invalid data"
I am always told as my problem can't be resolved at their level, someone from technical department will contact me to resolve this issue at the earliest.
Unfortunately, I have not received a single call from the technical department. This undoubtedly says a lot about the customer service at IDEA.
In this process, problem number 2 has started- I can't make ISD calls through my number. Complaining about this, I find out that the system shows service is active but when I make an international call I get the following announcement-" This facility is not available on your mobile number. Please contact our customer care for further assistance."
It has become a nightmare to use the IDEA cellular services and the most disappointing thing is that no action is being taken on my complaint.
It feels terribly disappointing and humiliating to get a service activated as without internet on mobile, mobiles are good for nothing these days.
