I am an Idea Cellular postpaid subscriber. I use a 3G plan on my number, which is 300MB for 100Rs. Every day Idea sends an sms stating the amount used till date. After my billing cycle was completed, i got a message stating that the amount used up to the last date of my billing was 299MB (within my limit).
Yet in the bill I received, I was charged 31.74Rs as additional usage charges. When I emailed them asking for clarification, they replied saying that the bill was correct. So I asked them why the sms was incorrect, since subscribers rely on these messages to keep track of their usage. They reply with some irrelevant answer and never specifically mention my question. Then I asked them to specifically mention my total usage and compare it with the amount mentioned in the sms. This time they sent an amount indicating that i have hardly exceeded my usage by 2Rs. So I asked them why they insisted that the bill calculation was correct when it was in fact, wrong. Also, this still leaves the issue of the info in the sms being different from the amount shown in the bill.
The Idea customer care executives are deliberately stalling. They gave me a complaint number[protected] but this was closed by them without any information. Was this information helpful? |
