[Resolved] IndiaCakes.com — Rotten cake and rotten service
I ordered a cake to be delivered for Rs. 800 (US$20) to be delivered on Father's Day to my father in Delhi. I placed the order about two weeks in advance giving them ample time to process the order. They did deliver a cake, but it was rotten and stinking and definitely not the cake we ordered. My sister (who lives with my father) accepted the delivery but when the courier left it was only then they realized how bad it was. She immediately called their Delhi office and asked them to fix the problem. They then proceeded to blame her for accepting the cake and not inspecting it beforehand. Who in their right mind inspects a gift, and a cake at that? We tried to contact the company by email and included our order number and asked them to send a fresh cake (the one we ordered), but we got no response. The company is based in Maharashtra but it has offices in most cities in India as well as in the United States. For a company that does business with people around the world, this is the complete opposite of world class service. This business should be immediately closed before it cheats anyone else. No one by any means should ever order cakes or flowers from them! Buyer beware!
