Dear all I never seen such as like IOB bank..., wonderful worst service they are given to public.., Lot of times i went IOB branch different areas.., They are also very lazy and irresponsible answers from IOB staff.., one time i went to IOB bank in rule area.., and i asked Business loan for me, i having account in same branch and my 6 months transaction is good.. and i din't get loan from any other banks.., But the bank manager answer is very worst.. he said simply we don't have option for loan to your statement wise and need to more documents and details..,i said him: ok what are the documents need and procedures.. he din't tell anything and i went out from manager room.., and sitting chair in outside of the manager room, suddenly one person came and entered the manager room.., i don't know why that person getting loan for business.., i seeing them and conversation going very smooth and smiling each other.. final shaken each other.. he got loan.. i asked one branch executive.. how can he get loan.., executive said its very simply.., the manager need some commission for the total loan value.., he gave him and he is belong his caste(ie.. manager and party is same caste).., I asked people then why the Govt running Bank for all.., i m from Other Caste cater...., and today : 19/08/13 all ATM and branches is not working.., because they are doing work in server... that is service maintenance..i having account in private banks they are really very good service for ppls.. but Govt banks like a IOB Service is very worst and irresponsible person working in IOB.., they are mess.. they should be clean up in IOB organisation.. even single transaction not transfer today date.., i don't have amount in my hand this day.. suddenly came IOB ATM and swipe the card.. but the result is out of service.., i asked to IOB Management... Why your are doing this Maintenance off in today(19/08/13)... yesterday originally holiday for bank.. why your not trying this process yesterday.. Kindly i request you all, disconnect your business account and individual account with IOB...

True true... IOB is the worst ever bank I had dealt with. My funds worth 2 lacs got blocked in my IOB account. I already committed two suppliers paying INR 60, 000 & INR 77, 000 seperately but not able to fulfill my commitment. Dear IOB employees, shut the bank & get out of the office. YOU DON'T EVEN DESERVE AN EMPLOYMENT ANYWHERE. Lot of young aspiring individuals are there in India desparately looking for job. But you guys are of no worth.
Very worst ATM service is provided by Indian Overseas Bank.
I used to see ATM issues with IOB regularily for atleast once or twice in everyweek since the past almost two years of my experience with this Bank. The first time while I call IOB CC, one security wala took the call and was unable to understand english and while I start talking in Hindi, he said, no body is there in CC. It happened while I call Chennai-IOB-CC number around 6:30 PM in one wednesday that was official day for IOB. Everytime, they say server issue. What do they mean by that. Are they not maintaining a proper network and data center? Don't they contribute to an average human needs for money in emergencies? A Bank is social trusted place where an individuals precious money and it's account documents are maintained. It must be given extreme level of importance of availability of servers where our account datas stored and retrieved. If such a important place is not available continuously for transaction in regular basis then what is the need for us to maintain an account with the bank save our money there. Rather, we could have even opted for saving our money at home itself. IOB is surely NOT contributing to the international fundamental core values of a money bank. Such worst words like server down, network down, etc. are commonly used every time the customer approaches IOB ATMs while they are out of service in very consequential period of days in all the weeks and months. I am NOT simply throwing the words. But, all are coming out of my every struggling of getting my own account money from IOB ATMs in many times during my account maintenance with this bank. IOB is a very worst nationalized bank in this modern days on which technology is much more developed, but, this banks never contribute to both technology and the value of the customers' money and their money needs. So, surely IOB can't be regarded as BANK but bargain street side money market.

India is a democratic country where many different types of human race living with many different language and financial status region to region. The poor fraction of the Indian society is counting the more numbers in the overall population rate of India. This poor fraction of the society in this country always depend upon banks like IOB for not only saving the money but also to utilize it in a secure and high available manner most probably. So, as a nationalized bank IOB should provide a good service to the society without any internet/data center errors in regular basis. This bank should understand the internet/data center technologies, implement them and should provide more importance in providing a 24/7 high available internet/ATM banking service to their customers who are actually poor people or major eyes of our Indian society.
I am sure of all the employees of this bank never use their own accounts with this bank for regular ATM usage but mainly for fixed deposits. If they are in the position of an average poor person who use this bank's ATM service for getting money in emergency situation, they wouldn't have been ignoring the server/network maintenance regular problems occurring mainly in net banking/ATM banking of this bank's customers' valuable money for such a long period of time without any single contribution to it.

    INDIAN OVERSEAS BANK — NON REALISATION OF CHEQUE

    I HAVE SENT A CHEQUE OF 2000/- RS TO MYRELATIVE AT BIHAR. HE HAS SUBMITTED IT TO PUNJAB NATIONAL BANK ACCOUNT ON MARCH 2009. TILL TODAY BANK HAS NOT ADDED THIS AMOUNT TO HIS ACCOUNT. WHILE THE SAME AMOUNT HAS BEEN DEDUCTED FROM MY ACCOUNT. NOW WHAT I SHOULD DO.

        unnecessary harrassment by your preet vihar branch

        The branch is fully irresponsible with the clients.
        They never sent statement of accounts.
        every time we have to sent our person to collect and waste whole full day.
        for collecting the cheque book, whole day time is wasted.
        for withdrawal of the cash from bank, no body is found the staff on time we have to waste 3-4 hours.
        For our KYC forms, we have submitted at least 10 times, but all the times, the kyc form is lost what the branch is doing.
        At last we decided to transfer the account from preet vihar to Daryaganj.This time also they harrasssed.Simply they sent the application form not KYC to harrass us.We had to further send kyc form and had to open new account.
        One side your bank say that the account holder can maintain the account from any part of India but even we can not get service from one branch to other. what is this either the branch has more business and they donot want to get the business from the customer like us.
        as far as I know, no body should open account with the Indian overseas bank preet vihar branch. you will be very surprise to know that i am residing in the same colony even i am not satisfied how you will satisfy the other customer.
        I on behlf of consumercomplaints.in urge all the people not open the account with IOB preet vihar branch and do not waste your time and money and request Banking ombudman to inquire about the facts i have explained.

        all are learn form IOB how can worst service to their customers
        irresponsible answers from their employee's
        i can't belive this how the bank train to their employee
        90% their atm not working, out of service, money not available
        iob atm not working but you collect other bank atm they will charge for usage what a brilliant idea
        not only one atm the whole city iob this tybe of maintaing

          The complaint is raised against this customer because he cheated to deposit money in his account for selling me the mobile through Parcel service. I have deposited 20000 rs on[protected] at 11.30 AM to his account.. I have the cash deposit challan receipt.i want my money back. i need the details of this VIGNESH P his contact address everything,please help me to get my money back as soon as possible.

          He will tell i am from erode and doing mobile business ...if any ONE know , pls let me inform

          ACC — I am cheated

          >I was cheated by a Reliance Sales Guy
          >Paid 550 of no use.
          >Was told i would get internet connection with in 7 days.
          >But it has been one month no one called me ,it is me calling them about 15 times
          >Sales guy does not know how to speak ..at times not picking up my call..

            HARASSMENT AND POOR SERVICEOn 20.06.2013 me and my wife went to IOB, Kovaipudur to obtain fresh locker and deposit Rs. 33 lacs in FD. Due to arrogant behavior of Manager, we both submitted letter and unused cheques to close SB [protected]. When the supervisor charged Rs.76 for closure, we asked him when other banks charge only for new accounts closed within one year, he told us to talk to Manager. Manager also could not explain the same. The branch notice board is not containing details of closure charges said to be introduced in 2012. Also, we were not informed by letter, press note regarding the same. At 1 pm supervisor gave us token and only to harass us he kept same pending and sent it to cashier only after cashier went for lunch. We waited in the hall alongwith gold loan borrowers who were also waiting for hours.At 2 pm the branch gave us updated pass book showing our account is closed. At 2.10 pm as cashier was making lesser amount than written in cheque, we questioned him. At this point, one lady staff came and shouted at us and manager also shouted at us. Hence we did not take payment as per the cheque. But in the evening the branch fraudulently reopened our account. Despite sending 6 mails to branch, regional office and head office , the problem is not solved. Our e mails (5) to the branch, RO, HO mentioning that we are going to Consumer Court, RBI and Ombudsaman did not have any effect on the IOB. We have sent all emails to [protected]@coisco.iobnet.co.in, [protected]@coisco.iobnet.co.in, [protected]@coisco.iobnet.co.in, [protected]@coisco.iobnet.co.in, [protected]@coisco.iobnet.co.in.
            Even our last request to send the amount directly to our Canara bank account ( alongwith wrongly collected charges and interest ) was not done by this branch.
            The Manager and staff are adamant and do not bother about our filing complaint in consumer court, RBI or Ombudsman.
            The video footage will clearly show that number of staff was more than number of customers in the branch.
            Because of poor service and arrogance and harassment , IOB Kovaipudur has lost a well wisher , about Rs.33 lacs deposits and my future help to mobilise deposits for IOB from my family and friends.

              Hello,
              Recently one Friday morning i went to Indian overseas bank Kolathur branch and met bank branch manager Mr.joseph rajkumar regarding opening for my company current account. i have all document photo copy to proceed but he said was busy now and ask me to come by monday. I said my company doing a great business of electrical contract and good turn over in existing bank account and wish to opening in nationalized bank that's why i came here. But he said if you want you can open other wise you go to any other bank. i am surprised such a irresponsible answer and feel shame on that padi branch, chennai(near Baktha vachalam school). Suddenly i came to HDFC bank Ambattur with in few minutes they process the formality with in few day they started my current account for there complimentary immediately i put one lakh Fixed deposit.

                I TRIED TO WITHDRAW MONEY RS 3000/- USING ATM CARD FROM VIJAYA BANK ATM AT COIMBATORE. MONEY DIDN'T COME OUT FROM ATM MACHINE. BUT I GOT A SLIP IT IS MENTIONING SORRY UNABLE TO PROCESS .BUT AMOUNT HAS BEEN DEDUCTED FROM MY ACCOUNT. I BROUGHT ONE COMPLAINT TO MY IOB KURICHI BRANCH.THEY ARE NOT TAKING LEGAL STEPS AND VIJAYA BANK SAID WE HAVE NO EXCESS THAT DAY. SO YOU GO TO CONSUMER COURT OR ANYWHERE AND THEY HAVE GIVEN IRRESPONSIBLE ANSWER. PLEASE VERIFY AND DO REFUND MY MONEY.

                  Dear sir,
                  A cheque for Rs.5000 was issued on 08.03.13 for my credit card account in HSBC. But I got a message on 12.03.13 from HSBC that the cheque has been dishonoured. More over, when i issued the cheque, there was balance in my IOB account to honour the cheque. And, I shocked to know that the cheque has been returned for want of balance in my a/c. I have already remitted the minimum amount of Rs 5500 towards my credit card of IOB on 09.03.13 through net banking. But to my dismay an amount of Rs 5390 again been deducted and made the cheque issued to HSBC has been dishonored. This made me pay a fine for dishonouring of cheque and also made me to a fine to an amount of Rs.800 to HSBC. Please check up with the IOB branch,Adambakkam. Based on my letter given for deduction from my salary account directly by the bank itself , they have done it. But they never do it in regular basis. You may also check on what date ( last previous deduction) the bank has deducted my dues towards credit card directly from my account. They are doing it arbitrarily, and do it whenever they think to deduct. There is no limit. Without my knowledge they are doing it. There is no regularity. Kindly enlighten me the reason behind this irregular action by the bank and who to bear the loss due to this action.

                      They(IOB) have restricted NEFT transaction limit to Fifty thousand(Rs.50,000/-) as daily limit., while RBI says the limit is 5 lakhs(Rs. 5,00,000/-). I don't know on what basis they are fixing this limit.
                      as per law they(all banks) should follow the RBI norms & mandate. but I don't know how they are making their own policies.
                      i was in a dire need of money (around 3.5 lakhs) to pay home loan & for that now i need to do 7-transactions of 50K each.(to take out my own money from the bank) How ridiculous is this!!
                      I wonder why RBI doesn't control these banks.
                      Even Nationalised banks are overlooking RBI mandates. I really pity this nation.

                        sir..i have my saving account with indian overseas bank j.p nagar branch Bangalore.a/c no.3157(mukthar ahmed sofi) on 21-12-12 i tried to made online recharge of (798Rs) of my MTS Data card.money has been deducted from my account even i have sms still in my cell.but MTS Data card company has not received any money.i tried to call IOB Customer care but no use.all phones ringing but no body to receive.after all i went to my branch and lodged complete with the manager for the same they assured me your money will be transferred maximum 3-6days. but still i didn't got any message.
                        i want my money back...kindly help me out thanks.

                          Belive me, I am a customer of IOB for more than 3 years now and I just lost my patience over this ridiculous bank ..

                          Improve your customer care and your online banking website... Issues with them, it is so bad that I am not able to stop writing this..

                          1) Every night when some "Core EOD processing is going on", I can scedule a transaction. And it will disappear and I cannot track it once the core processing is over. Playing with Customer's money?

                          2) If the first one happens and money is not transferred, if I transfer for the second time, system still assumes that I am transferring for the second time and so I cannot transfer 50,000 now since it crossed the daily limit? I am glad that my money is still in my account ..

                          3) Login to the website, 80% of times, you are shown a page "Login unsuccessful because of paraller logins, session expiry, etc .." . Come on, please fix this. Technology has improved.

                          4) Customer care number displayed on the website is wrong. Is there a customer care record that IOB bank can display to the public?

                          5) Customer care number provided to my dad by IOB employees in Pammal branch went to a home number in Delhi. Seriously guys, do you work free?

                          6) ATM card issues - One person will sit on the corner and he is the one who has to get my sginature to issue my card. One day he was busy, second and third day he was on leave .. I told my dad , I dont want a ATM card. I have some self prestige not to go and sit for a person who is not doing his work.

                          7) No one looks at online complaints ..

                            Sir,

                            On 17/09/2012, I submitted a letter requesting for replacement of a new cash card for the existing the damaged one in the IOB main branch at Kumbakonam wherein I have the salary A/C. Since the process took more than a month I wrote a letter to Chennai Central office. I got the information that the
                            new card has already been sent to the respective branch on 29th of September itself. When I approached the branch I could not get my new card even during the first week of October 2012. At last I got the card after two weeks. Till now I am yet to get the pin for my ATM cash transactions for the past 65 days. I filed a complaint in the branch during third week of October 2012. I understand that the complaint has been sent to the central office on 01/11/2012 and the reply reads as " NEW PIN GENERATED AND SENT TO BRANCH". When I approached the branch last week I could not get the pin and I have been asked to come during the next week.

                                      I opened a account in IOB MMDA Branch on[protected] till not yet received the atm card when i enquire in bank no one is response they treat as a begger especially her name is swati her behaviour is worst she went lunch around 11 and comeback @ 1PM till i wait after she says some issue comeback this is poor service from IOB bank.

                                        I used my debit card of Indian Overseas bank to buy a mobile of Rs 9600 at the Univercell showroom of Thanjavur ,one swiping transaction was failed
                                        so,I swiped it again 9600 got deducted twice from my account on[protected],I asked the bank customer care about the refund of the failed transaction,he described that it will be refunded as early as possible but now it is around 29 days from the transaction date money is not yet refunded
