[Resolved]  Indian Passport — postponing of issue of passport without valid reasons: application no. lkoa12264307

respected sir,
i submitted an application for issue of indian passport
on august 16, 2007. the due process was followed and after about 3 months the status on enquiery page of the same institution read that passport would be dispatched in a week's time.
the passport, however did not come, i waited till 17th june, 2008, when passport of my friend who had applied much later than i did arrived: after this i filled an enquiery form and was told that my reports were clean and passport will arrive any time now.
with regrets i have to inform that even today(4th july, 2008) after about 11 months of my application recieved, i am yet to recieve my passport a fact that has caused me a lot of mental strain.
my biggest complaint is against the lackadisical attitude, with which, the passport agency has not updated my passport status for atleast 6 months. it reads "It is to regret that due to unavoidable circumstances the despatch of Passport has been delayed and will now be despatched in a week's time ".
i just want my passport and an exact date by which i would recieve it.
