[Resolved]  Indiaplaza.com — Indiaplaza.com not refunding my money

Hello,

I visited Indiaplaza.com and completed payment for a "Fujifilm FinePix C20" on the morning of Jan 3 of 2012, but the Thank You page never loaded... instead a lot of code came on the page. No order number was generated.

My credit card company (ICICI Bank) has charged me saying payment for Rs. 2799 has been transacted, but in "Indiaplaza My Account" the item still shows in the shopping cart as if no order was placed.

I posted a ticket regarding this.

A lady from Customer Service wrote me to email my bank statement to this email address: [protected]@indiaplaza.in

I wrote there twice and asked for a refund but no response came. Their customer service keeps on asking for the order number which I repeatedly told them was never generated in the first place. Now according to them the ticket is 'closed' and I have lost my money.

I am attaching screenshots of the ICICI Bank credit card statement attached.

I want a refund of my Rs. 2799.

INDIA PLAZA — False charging of credit card

India Plaza has perfected a new scam for unfairly debiting customers' credit cards and augmenting their own working capital.

This is how the scam works:
- India Plaza advertises books at attractive prices prompting the customer to place an order.
- Immediately the order is placed India Plaza debits the customer's credit card
- The order is delayed inordinately and when the customer follows up he / she is informed by India Plaza that the book(s) are not available
- The refund takes place in installments which are difficult for the customer to confirm and reconcile over several different months bank statements.
- Even if the refunds come in, India Plaza has a held on to the customer's cash under false pretences for no outlay on their part except for a totally misleading advertisement (against which they cannot deliver) and some automatically generated letters of 'crocodile tear' apology.

On at leas three occasions in the last few months. While I am exploring what legal recourse I have in this situation, I thought I would warn other potential customers not to fall prey to this scam.
