Sir/Madam,
I booked a ticket for my mother in law in train no - 12397 from Gaya to Delhi dated - 27 July 2013. Journey date was 31st July 2013 in 3 tier A/C , PNR no : [protected] . At the time of booking , ticket status was RAC 8. On our journey date when we reached to the station, we came to know that after chart preparation our ticket status changed from RAC to waiting. As it was e-ticket, we were told that ticket will get automatic cancelled. we had an emergency to reach to Delhi, so we booked a tatkal ticket for next day.
Till Today, I have not received my money back for the 31st July ticket. So I had the loss of: my one day + taxi fare from my home to railway station + Ticket charge of 1132/- + tatkal ticket charge of next day.
Please help me.

IRCTC — regarding refund from IRCTC
Dear Sir/Madam,sir i'm sorry to write here but indian railway customre care service is one of the most pethetic services i have come across. since yesterday i have been trying all numbers either they are busy or people are not respondning..i have wirtten mails as well..for reference attached beloww..but their was no response on any mail sent to the concerned person.
When I tried to book ticket using IRCTC, The Amount of Rs 1012 has been deducted on 29th Aug 2011 as part of Ticket charges has been debited from my Acct. their were three transactions made to book the tickets as the first transaction showed error initialkklly so i thought that was incomplete but later at night i recieved the msg from my bank that the money has been debited into IRCTC account.
So I am expecting a Total Rupees of 1012 which need to be credited to my Acct by this IRCTC. but still now this ppl didnt came back on this..and i have dropped a mail to the mail id provided by them [protected]@irctc.co.in, which is of no use.
When I tried Customer care number..its saying “Lines are busy try after sometime” which is what we can expect from Govt Service Org.
I really wonder how can this ppl lethargic in actioning the things...this is the good example how the Govt org works and they themselve proved they have gone from 'BAD to WORST'.
I hope you ppl will take proper action and help me in getting this amount.
Pls find the follow up mails i droped to their id, but still of no use.
Looking forward to hear on this soon.
