Jaipur Passport Office — Passport Not Issued | |||
Respected Sir, I am resident of Bikaner and applied for passport on 19-Jan-2011. Police verification was don 25 Jan 2011. Now, the problem starts, after 1 month I got an update on website that your police verification is pending which lasted for 1.5 months and after that it shows the message Police report is clear and passport will be despatched on 4/4/2011. Till, 4/16/2011 it was giving the same message and after that it changed to "Passport will be despatched in a week's time". After a week the message changed to "Passport granted and will be sent on 22/05/2011". As per the rule they should release the passport within 60 or max by 90 days. But, it doesn't work the Goverment employee don't follow the policies and expects others to follow the same. I would request to kindly look into the matter as per their website updates I will not recieve my passport by 22/05/200 i.e. after 4 months also I would not be able to have my passport. We know that there is rule applied in every Govt. office and they are abide follow them. Tatkal scheme is an alternate option for getting passport sooner. So, if that is the only solution to get your passport on time or sooner then they should stop the regular service and start other schemes for getting the things done on time.
My advice would be that Passport office should be privatized, which will make a big difference.

You are getting passport by 22/5/2011 i.e. in 4 Months... then be cool na, kya issue hai. it is gov office. logo ke passport to 6 month bad tak bhi nahi aate hai...
However if you want your passport early then you should apply for your passport under Tatkal scheme with some extra payment/fee.
