Hi all

I am going thru a very similar experience.

Firstly my application money of Rs 26,000 for the Power Grid IPO was refunded very late.

And the name was type written wrongly.

I had to speak to 10 people before getting the info that I need to send it back to them.

Then they send me another cheque with the last date of encashement a few days later than the receipt date.

I now do not know how to take this forward.

Nice way these guys are making the money.

I feel cheated with some pathetic service from Karvy.

I am thoroughly dissatisfied with your client support system. Your service is plain poor. I have sent atleast 3 e-mails in the last 3 to 4 weeks requesting how to apply for HPIN number. There is no reply from you so far. I have invested with UTIT and we have been informed that you are handling their accounts. Folio NO. was all given to you.

Hi Gentlemen,

Hear this out and be shocked as how Karvy takes public money for a ride.

1) I apply for the Power Grid IPO and make the payment of Rs 26,000 (twenty six thousand rupees).

2) 1st Nov 2007 : After several several followups (by email, telephone calls, registered letters) I receive the refund cheque with the account holder name wrongly spelt. I could not realise my money.

3) 2nd Nov 2007 : On their advice I send the cheque back to their Hyderabad office. Again several reminders from my end happens.

4) 24th Dec 2007 : I receive the cheque with name corrected; But the validity date as[protected]. And my banker refuses to accept this when I deposited on 24th Dec stating that the validity is over.

5) 1st Jan 2008 : Again I send Karvy Hyderabad the validity-over cheque. Again several reminders from my end happens.

6) 23rd Jan 2008 : I have received a refund cheque with adequate validity time. BUT WITH WRONGLY SPELT ACCOUNT HOLDER NAME

7) Now comes the final shot from Karvy – I am furious. Agonised and call them several times over phone during the last 3 days.

8) Karvy now tells me that I need to send cheque again.

I have now given up my case since I feel cheated; harrassed and insulted by the Karvy employees who answers me so casually.

Never before in life I felt so harassed and insulted.

I am really baffled how can they get away from something like this.

i have applied for Reliance POwer IPO via icicidirect.com.i have not allotted any shares but even today on 14th february i have not got back the refund amount.my application number is 11179490.also the customer care number [protected] is never found free as if it is a recorded message.i tried to contact customer care officer more than 15 times with no result.also i send 2 emails no reply.this is very annoying.i tried other teleohne numbers also but they too always say"busy".there is no way to contact theses KARVY people really surprising.i am also needing the money urgently.when I checked in their website for reliance power IPO status it is mentioned that despatch date as 2/2/2008 and asked to allow 10-CLEAR WORKING days ,after that also if one dont get the refund they advised to contact postoffice!!!!!

The staff customer care and response is so pathetic- I have never seen pathetic service ever in my life - My refund is still stucked and not yet received –
Whenever I call the phone numbers and Customer BO numbers its always busy ,literally it is busy 24 hours and even one time one CBO picked the phone then put me on hold for 30 minutes which I was on STD calls -This story is going on since last 7-10 days and do not know what to do –

i applied reliance power ipo shares and got no allotment.
Now two and half months have elapsed but
Till date i have not received my refund order for RS. 51600/- and whenever i talk to them on phone or personally visit them or email them ...i get only cliched reply ...that the refund order has been dispatched...sometimes they say it has been dispatched on 7th then they say on 9th, later they say 12th march and keep on changing their dates. on contacting their jalgaon branch where collection was done...no one gives proper reply.

Umpteen times i had confirmed the permanent and/or communication address to them.

Even bank account details they have still no refund has been deposited...why?

Recently on their internet site i have seen that my application is showing that they have credited my account ...Liars they are...Today i have gone to karvy jalgaon and given them my latest bank statement which shows no credit.

They are simply harassing innocent people

Reliance Power — late receipt of refund order due to inefficiency of karvy - ro sent to wrong address.

i received the refund order after almost 3 months during which i called, wrote, e-mailed, complained, spoke to a variety of karvy personnel after which i was told that the refund order had returned to them due to door being locked. i explained that this was not possible after which they agreed to send it again. after a week, i got a call from a complete stranger, stating that my refund order had ended up at his house and that he had also applied for reliance ipo and so got my number from his stock broker. if this is not inefficiency, then what is, i ask you. i had borrowed money to get the ipo. i want interest on the amount of refund due to me which was delayed through no fault of mine. i give below details of my refund order and application:

SUB:-Unfair practice done by Auraiya ( Branch code – 350 )

Dear sir,
I have a trading A/c with your Auraiya ( Branch code – 350 )
My client code is 350082.
I would like to draw your kind attention towards unfair practice done by your staff named Shri Ravindra kumar Head of your Auraiya Branch .
I had bought 150 (One hundred fifity ) share of Alkali metal 100 No. share at the price of 188.00 and 50 No. share at the price of 180.00 on dated[protected] in Intraday and asked to Shri Ravindra kumar to
sell these shares in Intraday at the price of 190.00 and low price of 180.00 to squair up I have also asked him that is squair up does not get my asked price 190.00 then leave it on system it will auto squair up my position at 03.15 pm . I have asked to Shri Ravindra kumar that I have not money for payment of these shaers.
Sir, insted of following my instruction Mr. Shri Ravindra kumar converted my this trade in delivery without information to me .When I asked why he has picked up these shares in delivery he does not give any satisfactory answer .
Sir, after 04 days Shri Ravindra kumar again sold my these shares on[protected] at lower price of 145.00 without my information and on[protected] Shri Ravindra kumar also sold 80 shares of HDIL at the price of Rs. 86.00 only.When I had bought it 146.00 per share.
Sir, Due to this anwanted and autocratic act of Shri Ravindra kumar I have to suffer heavy losses.
When I asked him why he has done such type unfair practice he asked me to remove my trading and demate account in karvy.
So you are requested to settle the matter and reimburse my losses .If necessary action is not taken by you then I will knock the door of NSE and SEBI for justice.

I HAVE 200 HUNDERED SHARE OF RELIENCE CAPITAL LTD.
I HADE ALREADY PAID THE CALL MONEY ON 08/03/2000 DDNO.413392, & 91 RS. 7000 PER DD.
BUT STILL I HAVE NOT RECEIVED FULLY PAID UP SHARE CERTI FROM THE COMPANY. I WOULD COPLAINING TO "KARVEY CONSULTING" FROM 2005. BUT THEY COULD NOT TAKE ANY STEP ON THIS MATTER.
