complaint ... The company technician came and installed the fridge with the settings inside. From the very next day the fridge started giving trouble - the exterior of the fridge was getting abnormally hot and inside, the vegetables & fruits etc were getting rotten within a day or two. A complaint was registered with the dealer - a technician turned up after two days, checked the fridge and said that everything was normal. When I asked him - what should be the temperature inside the fridge, the freezer & that of the body outside; he had no answer to my question; so I asked him to send a senior experienced engineer from the company; I also lodged a complaint again with the dealer, a few days later another technician came - he touched the exterior body of the fridge and felt extremely hot - he said that the fridge was a defective piece and he would arrange to replace the same. After that there was no response from the company or the dealer. More than four years have passed, but in-spite-of my repeated requests and reminders nothing has been done to the fridge. The company technician has visited two times but with no positive results. The body of the fridge at times gets so hot that it becomes impossible to stand in the kitchen [where the fridge is kept]; and the food products get spoilt inside. I have consulted a few engineers [on personal level] who have physically seen the fridge and remarked that it is very risky to keep such a machine. Please note that we are senior citizens staying in the house and cannot bear any untoward accident in the house with any machinery. This kind of callous attitude on behalf of the company is absolutely undesirable and questionable. I request that the fridge may please be replaced immediately to avoid any kind of mishap.

Dear Sir,

This is with regard to a refrigerator - LG REF: GL-478YLQ4 brought by me from an authorised LG dealer, i.e. Arvee Enterprises, K-46, Lajpat Nagar-II 110024; on 30th September 2008.

Upon immediate use it was evident that the Refrigeration was weak in the fridge section only. Several complaints have been made, followed by visits from the company’s engineers, but the problems remains as is.

I have also registered the complaint with the National Consumer Helpline on 2-5-2009, and received the following reference no: 180426.

As, suggested by them, a registered letter has also been sent to the Company. Once again, they responded with a call asking what the problem was, and then nothing more was done.

I have now been advised to file a formal complaint at the Consumer Court. Due to ill health, this process has been delayed till now. But now I want to file the formal complaint and need help with preparing the submission file.

I also want to sue the Company for damages and the continued inconvenience that my family has had to endure for the past year and a half, while their service personnel payed several visits and gave the most illogical excuses. It is very disappointing that Company like LG did not act with any sincerity at all, towards their customer, even after continued requests for changing the damaged piece; since they were unable to repair the defect.

Please advise me, on how to go about filing the complaint in the Consumer Court and suing LG for damages incurred.

Bought ac in just 2 month it stopped working twice. For the first time we asked for its service. Now we want peice exchange but they are not doing service also.
