I complaint about the compressor not working - I purchased this refrigerator on 22/05/2012 and I was informed that the compressor warranty is 10 years. The call is logged with customer care on Jan 7, 2017. I have been informed that the compressor warranty is 5 years and it has been ordered for replacement. There is no communication till Jan 16, 2017 - I again called the customer care and now today I got a call from the technician that LG can not replaced the part as I have asked the external engineer to look into the fridge. Its surprise to me that without even looking at my fridge, technician has taken its decision. Then I came to know that there is a syndicate from the local fridge repair guy that - these technicians get 20% commission if they refused to replace the parts and increase the local technician business. Can you please look into this on priority? if my refrigerator problem is not solved, I am compelled to go consumer court to settle the matter
To my surprise - the model GL-278VE5-CVBZEBN is not at all listed on the LG website. The supervisor in Pune is troubling me and telling that he will ensure that I will not get the compressor replaced under warranty and he wil personally look into that i will not get this replaced. he sent the technician and ask him to take photographs -pressuring me that I had done the work from outside which is not at all the case.
My fridge is not working from last 13 days and no attention paid by LG - this is my second fridge which got these issues.. I recommend people not to buy these products anymore..
