Loop Mobile Operator — Frustrating experience with Loop

Address:Mumbai City, Maharashtra

I am a customer of loop mobile from over 7 yrs now. I have been facing the network problem since quite some time now. After several complaints no action was taken on improving the network. There were many call drops for which I used to get charged too. Recently they came up with a new marketing strategy of Loop Network Challenge, where if your call drops the call cost will be credited back to the account. The call drops continued. Out of four drops amount of 1 call was credited and for the rest they gave some stupid reason, which even included that call was never dropped. Also they claimed that there will be network in elevators, but it somehow never happened in my building elevator.

Then Mobile Number Portability was approved and then I was assigned a personal Relationship Manager and was given 1000 sms free and was rated as a privileged customer of Loop Mobile. The relationship manager assigned to me was of no help, as I complained to him too about my network problem (Who used to answer my call once after calling him atleast 5 times)

After several attempts to get a better service from Loop, I finally decided to move out through mobile Number Portability (MNP). However, I knew this was going to be difficult and yes it proved me right. Following is the story:

Attempt 1: I applied for MNP to move to Vodafone. After 1 and half week I got a message saying, the application got rejected, I called my relationship manager and he advised to visit the gallery. I visited the Loop gallery in Ghatkopar next to Shoppers Stop. The reason given was, that I am using 1000 sms free service. I told him I have not asked for it and it was given to me voluntarily by the company. The representative said, this is to retain customers that we reject it first. Then he told me ask vodafone to re-submit the application.

Attempt 2: After taking 2 weeks, I receive a message, application rejected. I visited the same gallery again and then they told me my unique portability code had expired. So, kindly re-submit.

Attempt 3: I re-submitted the application and same old story the application was rejected. What was shocking was the reason for rejection was same as in Attempt 1.

Attempt 4: I re-submitted the application. Now since all this took me almost a month, my next bill came. The due date is 22nd which is yet to come as its only 13th today. My application was rejected saying my account shows outstanding amount. N again my portability code which is valid only for 15 days is about to expire. So, I was told kindly pay the bill and re-submit after the code expires with a new code.

Here, I am after 4 lengthy and frustrating attempts still waiting for my number portability to be done.
