beware if your buying laptops at lamington road
know exactly what you want and know your laptop's model no. as well as detailed specs with any variants.
Next big thing, always remember to ask for what type of processor it is with its proper model no. They will surely confuse you with 1 cpu - 1 way multitasking.
To explain further, Cpu in the above notation stands for no. of cores in the processor and Ways stands for no. of threads they can run.
No i5 or i7 processor from 4 gen onwards has a single core with single thread. Your i5 should have atleast 2 cores and 2 threads. ie an i5 processor will atleast have 2 cpu- 2 Way multitasking.
If the dealer offers anything below this for real cheap price do not fall for it.
NOTE: Intel or amd will never have a Cpu with same model no. with different no. of cores and thread ie if i5 5200u is 2 core cpu with 4 threads then there will never be another i5 5200u with 1 core 1 thread.
The processors they are taking about are pentium / celeron / atom which still have 1 core 1 thread.
No cpu with 2 cores will have threads less than 2.
Another word of caution always check the box of the laptops.
No dell laptop has a box that does not contain an intel or amd logo(watch a few unboxing videos for your laptop vertion).
If they start to confuse you with some fancy terms just leave the shop but do not fall for their cheap tricks or buy laptops which they suggest.
And for many people who have said that they have got genuine laptops, try and run benchmarks like passmark, 3Dmark, PCmark, Geekbench3, etc
and compare the scores with the online scores for your laptop config.
As for the rig builders, know your motherboard and processors model no. to precision otherwise you will get cheaper components.
Hope this helps :)
PS: don not forgets to ask about the Cpu/Ways when buying laptops or processors.

Note : specs in windows can be changed. :p
Not sure about the bios, so thoroughly check for hardware in bios.
But then again if there is a way to cheat these guys will find it.
I won't name any shops or say that all the shops are fake but be cautious.

select a specific processor and know all the detail of it... like price, no. of core, no. of thread, clk speed, processor serial no,
and ask the shopkeeper to install that processor only... and don't buy another processor if shopkeeper suggested u to do so unless u know
the complete information about it...
after they have set up ur pc or laptop chk configuration there itself...
configuration can be checked in following ways...
1)right click on my computer then click on properties it will show ur pc configuration
2)for graphic card specification click on start button type dxdaig and open it... then click on display tab it will graphic card configuration..
@carry a pen-drive with u, having cpu-z setup file in it... when ur pc is configured installed this software there itself and check all the configuration.
generally they cheat upon ur processor and graphic card ... so do a research and know ur product which u are going to buy...
