[Resolved] Make My Trip — No valid permit for the bus | |
I booked two bus ticket for a total of 7 passengers through make my trip.com for my journey from Madurai to Chennai for journey date 25th October, 2009. The PNR numbers are TBBK98883887 for 6 tickets and TBBK82825928 for 1 ticket. The coach operator was Photon Trans Co. and the coach type was Volvo. From the outer look of the bus itself I could sense a foul smell and it seems the driver does not have enough experience to handle a Volvo. The bus left Madurai by 10.10 pm and bvy around 4.30 am next day morning we were stopped by RTO officials near the toll gate after Villuppuram town. The driver stopped the vehicle and fled from the scene. The cleaner was showing some papers to the RTO officials and later the RTO officials informed us that they are siezing the bus since it does not have valid permits. By around 6.15 am one of the RTO driver drew the vehicle to Villupuram RTO office and they dropped us near the Villupuram bus stand. From there we had to find our own transport to reach our final destination. I arranged a Sumo for my family from Villuppuram to Chennai. It is the responsibility of both the operator and make my trip.com to ensure the passengers are not left stranded on mid way which is purely an operator mistake for not having the proper permits. I request make my trip.com to refund my full fare and also proper compensation for undergoing the trauma. Was this information helpful? | |

The total amount of Rs. 3850 will be refunded to your credit card account within 5 business days. Once the refund is processed, we will share a Refund Reference Number, which you can use to follow up with your credit card company. For the amount to actually reflect on your credit card statement is usually dependent on your billing cycle. Once again, I regret the inconvenience caused to you.
