[Resolved]  Maruti Dzire Vxi — Non-delivery of Swift Dzire

This is Pratap and I want to say a few things about the way the Company Marutisuzuki. I had booked a Maruti Swift Dzire by paying the entire amount of Rs 3,60,000 through Berkeley Automobiles, Chandigarh on 23 May 2009. As i am an Army Officer I had got it booked through CSD and the dealer told me that it would take 2-3 months for delivery. I waited for three months and the dealer told me to wait another 1-2 months. I contacted Maruti sales office in chandigarh. Mr Vishal Dawra Regional Manager Maruti spoke to me and told that he has given me priority and my vehicle order is pending at the assembly line but there is no production, so he cant help. I got this feedback after calling him at least a hundred times. In the meantime the dealer is not picking up the phone and he says i also cant help you as the production is not there at the factory of maruti. Now it is almost going to be five months with nobody picking up my calls to them. Probably the company staff and the dealer as fed up with my regular calls. In the meantime My instalments for the car loan has started and I have paid four instalments already for a car, which i am yet to see. I have written at least a dozen complaints to marutisuzuki on their website but nobody has given me a call or spoken to me. I am appalled at the callous attitude and undue harassment by the people concerned at maruti. So much so that the company brings out adverts that they are the most customer friendly organisation. All the wait and the apathy shown by maruti has driven me to lose my peace of mind. Trying daily to speak to someone at maruti draws a blank. I am sure there would be many who would have been harassed by this organisation. If the consumer court can help me, it would bring back my faith in the judiciary system.
