[Resolved]  Maruti Ritz Vdi — Sudden start and movement of vehicle

I have maruti ritz vdi bought during nov-09 run 6500kms, It has some breaking issue which i reported to maruti and mandovi motors had recalled the car for breakes check,
On my entry into the mandovi wilson garden the mechanic took vehicle to park the vehicle so that i get into the office and find the previous customer contact mechanic.
While i came out with the customer relation mechanic, to my surprise, 5 people were trying to pushing back the vehicle in the parking slot, including the mechanic who had taken the vehilcle for parking, they were panic stuck.
When asked by customer relation mechanic, He showed the key of the car in his hand, handbrakes applied, he told "Vehicle had started automatically and moved out of the parking lot and luckily these people saw it and stopped it".
I'm also surprised when a car and start its engine itself automatically with out any key and move forward though hand brakes are applied.
This happened luckily in premises of mandovi, else no one would believe the vehicle will start itself automatically like "wonder car movie".
I'm really thinking weather to accept the car from the company or not, as i'm now afraid if this repeats.
I've not faced this problem with any of my 3 old cars that i had used in past 11years.
I've also got the incident written from mandovi with their manager's consultation so that they do not deny the report....find the attached.

Its reported by the dealer that there is a ECM problem in the vehicle, because of which the vehicle started itself without key and came out of parking lot it also burnt the alternator and the wire hubs... it looks to be serious problem...maruti is delivering ritz with some crucial technical faults, which may cause damage in the public...its like buying a bomb and keeping in the public places...endangering our lives and others.

If the problem is detected, please let me know what is the issues, while i have been receiving, different version of the problem from your bangalore team and dealer.

For the First time I heard the BCM problem, Second time the Harness, 3rd time the fittment of the accessories.Due to the above many version, It looks like all the spares have been replaced, have even request to forward the same mail that mandovi had sent to maruti between 21st and 22nd May about the problem analysis, which was denied informing that its and internal communication report.both by MrAshokan of Mandovi and Ashok of Maruti bangalore. In fact i have communicated that i have recorded this call.

The above factors are indicatingquestions maruti about its service to customer and technical defect present in the system.

Also if maruti has detected the problem, I would like them reproduce the problem.

Meanwhile i'm requesting to make arrangements for the refund at the earliest as per my previous mail. I want the whole issue to be settled by 27th May 2010.

Wow... thank you for the late reply...
i would rather gone for a 2nd hand vehicle if i needed, repaired vehicle.

An vehicle with faulty, alternator, faulty Engine control unit and body control unit and harness...
I dont want take risk of putting this vehicle on road and putting other lives into danger.

i want the money back as i was not expecting to get a defective vehicle for the money i have paid,

If you are replying next time let me have dates, when you are going to take next action not by just saying, we will get back.

I have a ritz VDI bought in Nov2009, I had reported to maruti about the noise in the right brakes in the slow moving, In turn mandovi motors had requested to drop the vehicle for the checkup, I took the car and in fact gave the keys at the gate of mandov i for parking and moved toward the office, by the time i could come out, I observed the employees of mandovi motors were panic stuck and pushing my vehicle back to parking slot. When asked the driver, he shows the key of the vehicle in his hand and the mechanics say that vehicle moved itself with engine ON, it looked handbreakes were appled also before parking and vehicle was in first gear.
