[Resolved]  Maruti Swift VDI — Poor Service Support

Dear Mr. Kumar,

This is with great concern and regret that I am penning this letter to after having absolutely no response and addressal of my genuine concerns from Maruti team in Bangalore. Please find below my car details:

Model : Swift Diesel VDI
Purchase : 3.2.07
Reg No : KA – 04- MD- 5983
Owner : M.E.Amarnath

As you can see, my car I just more than a year old, having run approximately 16, 000 km (which is less than even 1000 km a month).Within 3 months of purchase, we have been experiencing a few concerns with the performance of the vehicle which surprisingly, has not yet been addressed by your famed Maruti Service / Technical team.

1. The pick up of the vehicle (or the Turbo function) has frequent drop in power while the vehicle is in motion.
2. The vehicle turbo power has declined drastically after the first couple of months
3. Excess smoke (earlier thick black; of late white colour) comes out of the exhaust
4. The vehicle has been frequent break downs. The last one happened in the middle of the night while we were traveling with the entire family in Salem. Vehicle had to be left behind and towed to a service centre and we had to take a taxi to travel back all the way to Bangalore. Vehicle was checked the next day by ABT Service, Salem. The Engineer on checking the vehicle was surprised and remarked that the DRIVE SHAFT was open. This is really shocking since just on the previous day, the vehicle was fully checked up from RNS motors Bangalore.
5. Our vehicle from the day it was bought is being serviced from RNS, Bangalore. Every single time the vehicle has been dropped for service, we register our concern that – the turbo power has reduced tremendously. And it is ridiculous that every time, the car is delivered back after service with zero improvements.

Mr.Kumar, to give you a brief background of our family; we have 2 maruti swifts, 2 maruti omni vans, 1 alto and 1 SX4 vehicle in our joint family. With my previous experience, I being the eldest in the family, I am the one who recommends the choice of new vehicle to be picked up from each of my brothers, keeping in mind the exemplary service and dependability of the previous vehicles which we had taken from Maruti Suzuki before.

Of late, we are finding that the genuine customer concerns are not being taken seriously and addressed. Maybe the reason could be that Maruti has grown too big for your shoes that you are focusing only on selling, selling and more selling. The concerns of the customers can take a walk….!!! That’s really a sad state of mind from a company which has been voted as the ‘MOST CUSTOMER FRIENDLY COMPANY IN INDIA…..!!!’ Time to have a change of thought.

Yes Nowadays every company except few has reduced cust care management and solutions.
They all concerned towards Money management. Manpower is not geared to the exp level of commitment.

First of all, I would like to know whether your grievences were addressed and your DZire is ok now. I could understand the pain and agony you have experienced right from the date of purchase of a car and that too a Maruti Vehicle. One must have a peace of mind after purchasing a product and should have no regrets... this way, I had high esteem on Maruthi until I stumble on this site and complaints on Maruthi Vehicles. Most of the problems are actually created by the dealers... Maruti should have a review system for dealer and should cancel the dealer ship if more complaints are received.

Actually, I was about to book a DZire and just for reading reviews on this i googled and luckily happened to read all the woes of Maruti Car owners. Its really disapointing to note that now a days reputed companies like Maruti are slowly going away from consumer satisfaction and adopted sales thier motto...

I decided to take a fresh look from service point before going for a Maruti product.

Verymuch disgusting.
