[Resolved]  Max New York Life — Non refund of policy money

Dear Sir,

I am Sasank Sekhar Patro, a customer of Max new York life Insurance, policy number[protected] and[protected]. The purpose of bringing this to your notice is I had surrendered my policy on 17th Feb 2010 and I am still waiting for the amount. I surrendered my NEFT transfer form with a cancelled cheque along with the bonds but now I understand somebody has misplaced that. I was told that there is a cheque issued on my name but that is too not reached to me till now. And I was getting excuse SMS from Max new York conveying “Dear Customer, we are eager to come back to you, your service request is being processed. We will update the resolution in next 3 working days, regret inconvenience”
I was receiving the same message on every 3 rd day. I registered a complaint with the customer service “ticket No. 2188095” which is still open in the status till date as on 12 April 2010. Whenever I call to the customer service or the Hyderabad board number, I get only response that “we will get back to you with the status”. I also got to know that my NEFT form is missing that’s why they have sent the cheque. The cheque was sent to me by Professional Courier – (Very Unprofessional) POD No. GGN6305626, not delivering at my address. Unlike other courier services they are not intimating the customer at least. I can see the tracking status that the courier is at Ville Parle Mumbai instead of coming to Hyderabad.

I had given my corresponding address too to be available in case it is coming for delivery. I had been in touch with Ms. Devaki (who gave me the acknowledgement of my bond and NEFT form and Secunderabad office) and asking for the branch manager’s number, so I can escalate this issue but she is refusing to give me the contact and also not letting me to speak to the department manager.

But this response really lost impression in front of me and I won’t be able recommend anybody for Max new York. I know there is no impact will happen on Max New York business because of one customer like me. This is a clear example of taking benefit of the customer rights by an MNC in India.

I am waiting for a positive response. I don't know whom to complain now.
