[Resolved]  Max New York Life Insurance Co. Ltd. — Cheeting and mental harashment by MNYL

I am writing this complain to you out of acute pain that has occurred to me due to negligence and disrespect by Max New York Life Insurance and Yes Bank employees. I want to bring into your notice that i had taken up a Capital Builder policy, in February, 2008 from Yes Bank. Yes Bank has a tie up with Max New York Life Insurance company.

Despite several notifications and reminders, I haven't received my policy till date. Even i informed the concerned officials in Max New York Life Insurance and Yes Bank regarding it, but no action has been taken against it. After an year i had applied for the cancellation of the policy. But then, i was informed that it cannot be cancelled since the policy has been issued and free look period is over. According to IRDA rules, every company must give a free look period of 15 days to every new policy holder. During free look period you can return the policy without any deduction in charges. But Where is the policy? Who has received it? When i ask them to give me the details they remain unanswered.

I feel sorry to mention that after writing down the mail to Max employees, IRDA i again had to face a rude and stringent behavior of Max employees. I was informed that my policy has been received by some Arvind Singh. But no such person is my family member or friends/relative. It’s just that the courier company named one person and they are giving fake replies. When i asked for the cancellation, they said Yes Bank has refused to do so. I want to know what is Yes Bank doing to decide for the pains that i am being suffering through.When they source an insurance from a customer they convince us with the positivity and assurance that they would help us out in any manner for future reference but when they use it for their own purpose, they forget the promises made to the customer.

I feel very unsecured and cheated by the company. This way how a customer would rely on insurance policies, rules and regulations. Now, this is my appeal to the Consumer Forum to help me out with this situation because being a customer i have full rights to know where my policy has gone and now when i want to cancel it please see to it that it happens. I hope you all would look into the matter personally and process the formalities as soon as possible and take action against Max New York Life Insurance Company for the misbehavior and irresponsible attitude towards a customer.
