[Resolved]  MAX NEW YORK LIFE INSURANCE LTD. — refund of Rs. 30000.00 pending since June' 2008

I am J.M.Aggarwal, R/O 9a/1, Saini Colony, Model Town, Karnal applied for Life insurance policy with MAX NEW YORK LIFE INSURANCE vide their proposal Policy no.[protected]. Due to some personal reasons, I applied for cancellation of this policy vide my application dt.03/06/08, which was very well accepted by their Karnal office duly marked receipt. The cancellation was telephonically confirmed by their karnal office.

Since that day I have been continuously visiting their Karnal office for refund of Rs. 30000/- but nothing has been done so far. And a week, it was a height of your Karnal’s office code of conduct. Mr. Ashish sharma behaved as if I am not a human being. I have been going to your office after regular intervals as they say come tomorrow we will see to it. I am 63 years old and getting such kind of response from your Company. Will I get any interest on my money?

I am sorry to say but I did not the biggest mistake when I applied for this policy with them. They are harassing me like anything. Not even a single person from your Karnal office or Gurgaon office has sorted out this matter. Mr. Ashish Sharma says that he is from Gurgaon and would meet me when he will visit Karnal whereas he is already working at Karnal office which I came to know a week back, but he refused to meet me saying that he does not have any need to meet me and later on his office boy conveyed that he has gone for lunch. I waited for him there for 2 hours but he did not come back, whereas he was in his office only.

This is a problem for me to get my money back.

Sir / Madam,

My name is V.K.Joshi. I live in JAIPUR (Rajasthan) and earning my living by getting some commission through real estate business and through helping people to get the required loan on property or personal loan from the banks.

I have a major complaint about your branch office or office of your business associate situated in the name of MAX NEWYORK LIFE INSURANCE CO. (MNYL) Address: Near Amrapali Circle, Vaishali Nagar, JAIPUR (Rajasthan).

One day one Sales Manager of the above said office called me up and asked me for an appointment to discuss about the company and its schemes. I agreed and fixed the time and place. We discuss all the information about the company and its schemes. Thereafter I agreed to join your company (MNYL)through the above said branch/office. The Asked me to deposit Rs. 1300.00 (One thousand three hundred only) from me to give the exam conducted by IRDA for having a code to do the business. I deposited the required/demanded sum against which no receipt is given to me till date. Then they took the classes for 15 days and through an institute situated at Subhash Nagar Shopping Complex, Shastri Nagar, JAIPUR I gave the on line exam conducted by IRDA (as informed) and passed by 90% marks.

The above matter tells that how I had worked hard to join MNYL, but lateron I came to know about the actual internal working condition of your so-called esteemed organization when your employees or the persons working there don’t even complete their commitment, committed to me. In this case how can I trust you (MNYL) or your people will fulfill the commitment which they will do to the customers convinced/diverted by my hard work.

I have some of the complaints about the above said office as below:

1. I have not received any receipt of the amount deposited by me.
2. They are just telling me that they have received my code number through mail but they are neither giving me the printout copy nor forwarding the copy of my code received from IRDA (as they informed me).
3. They are not telling me my registration number so that I can take the printout from IRDA web site.
4. They are even not giving me the copy of the score sheet of the exam I had passed by 90%.
5. They have got signed the agreement on the next day of my result but they don’t even feel it legal to give an attested/certified copy to me so that I can use it at the time of legal requirement till date.
6. They have lost my documents from their office (as they have informed me) as they have shifted to a new floor of the building. I told them that once I had seen my full in a file in their new office but they ignored.
7. The most amazing thing that nobody took it seriously when I told them that I will complaint to the authorities as well as IRDA.
8. Now even the person incharge for our training Mr.Kuldeep who said approx. 7-8 days back that I will resolve the problem and sales manager Mr.Chetan Sharma is not even picking my phone.


This is not the way a professional company should work and in this case you are requested to please do the required and inform me on my MAIL ID.

If you also don’t respond, then indirectly you are forcing me to go to the court of law for the losses and compensation occurred due to your negligence.

Even I have a faced a very much bad experience with max NewYork Life Insuarance. I took a plan in which the executive offered me a discount of 10% (INR 4000).
He gave me INR 1000 at the time i took the policy some 5-6 months back. But he has not given me the rest of the money (INR 3000) yet. He is not even picking up my calls now.

They are such a big cheaters.
there are complaints about misselling of plans, investigations are in progress by irda in jabalpur too .ulip plans nav falling day by day, heavy allocation charges eating capital of hard earned money of indian customers
My name is Akrati and I ahve a complain against AMx New York Life Insurance, Gurgaon office.

I called up MNYLI company 8 times and the operator couldn't resolve my query and disconnected my call 4 times.

I just asked him the office adress as i recieved my policy cheques bcak saying that office has been shifted!! But neither he connecetd me to concerned person nor was he able to solve my simple query!!

This kind of behaviour is not expected from big companies like MAX but still it is happening and we rae suffering!

Kindly do not take policies wiht Max...n you will be happy.

I am salim ahmed s/o wazir ahmed R/O h/2253 mandir wali gali shadi khampur opp west patel nagar new delhi 110008, i have applied for Life insurance policy with MAX NEW YORK LIFE INSURANCE vide their proposal Policy no.[protected]. I am sorry to say but I did not the biggest mistake when I applied for this policy with them. whenever i called up ur customer care number i was not satisfied with your employee, specially today i talked with mr sandeep anand i told him what is my problem after listen he said already we have arrange your meeting with mr goel i was shocked bcz my meeting has been fixed without my permission may i know is this your service ? then have talked to his senior mr rakesh patania he is also such fool he don’t know how to talk with costumer, he did not accept my executive done a mistake, plz listen my conversation, , thank god i did not take max new york life insurance policy plz you should improve ur service ...

in case you still not recieved give them a written complaint take an acknowledgement and file a complaint with consumer court . these need to be taken to task hareesing such an eldewrly person shame on them

Life Maker , Unit Linked Investment Plan — I have not recieved Policy pack

I had taken this policy in Feb 2008. And i have paied the premium amount 35000 on 04-Feb-2009. Till date i have not received the policy documents. Its been more then 6 monts since i have been communicating with Max customer Care and Max office here in Hyderabad. I have been receiving all the bills regarding the policy paymet to my house address.But i am not receiving policy documents. When ever i make a call to the customer care or Max offices i would be receiving one sms stating that my policy pack has been return to the Delhi office ...

Can any body suggest me wt to do on this ...

I regards to the same issue, I had received calls from your Head Office, yesterday Mr.Surender Arora, of Sector-8, Chandigarh called us to meet him, now he is saying that it is not possible to get the money returned.I am very furstrated, it seems like, there is no good to write emails, and attending phone calls, and meeting people, still no clue when I am going to get my money back.
Believe me, I will now take help of media and press, incase my money is not returned in 24 hours.
Kindly take this matter seriously.

I want the details of converting Keyman Insunsurance to personal name. Kindly help with the same ASAP.
This is with the reference of two of my policies nos.[protected] and[protected]. I have purchased these policies from Mr. Suresh agent of Max New York life insurance co. ltd.Karnal (Haryana) I have purchased these policies with premium of Rs. 5000/- annual in each policy. In these Policies Nominees are my sons Vishal And Vikas respectively. After three months Mr. Suresh had handed over policy packs to my wife when I was not at home. Then I have gone through the policies it surprised me when I have seen the amount of premium from Rs. 5000/- to Rs. 20000/- annually. I have taken Plan Whole life par but they had given me life maker premium.
Then I visited the Karnal G.O for changing amount. But they refused me that free look-up period is expired now. Then I had words with customer care executives Ms. Renu, Mr. Kapil, and Mr. kapil Bhasin regarding this. They committed me to change policy packs. I couriered the policy packs to them. One day they told me that policy packs are under printing.
After some days and continue follow-up the y told me that changed policy packs are couried to Karnal G.O on 21 -July-09. but Karnal G.O People told me that they haven’t got any policy pack for me. Then Ms. Teena Dureja in customer care told that we haven’t got any policy packs from you. Kindly get duplicate policy packs issued and send those to us. Karnal office is denying issuing duplicate policy as it is lapsed due to non-payment of premiums. They are asking for more funds.
Kindly help me in this regards. Or cancel the policies…..

Respected Sir,

I Surekha Jain, newly appointed Agent Advisor bearing Code No. 364327 from Secunderabad branch wants to lodge a complaint on Mr. Rakesh Jain Code No. 149852 . Since last 1 year I was unemployed and it was only 3-4 months that I met this Mr. Rakesh Jain. He told me that I can make a career out of this and he wanted me to join this company with a condition that I have to give him 15 policies, promising to get a Code on my name. I insisted on getting the Code first and then I’ll give him the required policies, but he refused saying that it’s mandatory to give 15 policies.
Also on 1/10/09, he requested me to give a blank cheque on your Company’s name saying he had some work with it. When I asked what will he be doing to do with it, he told me that he wanted it so that he can fill his quota of policies which he is unable to complete. He said that he will look after paying that amount and I need not worry about it, but later in my Bank account I found that the cheque has actually returned on 3rd Nov 09.
Also in the Month of November when Rakesh Jain asked me to give me policies as a step of getting a Code, after a lot of talking with customers I was able to get 6 policies. But then he insisted me on getting at least 12 so that his senior officials can accept it, saying that he will give all the benefits and commissions of those policies. But till date I haven’t received a single rupee from him.
The last week of December, he came to my house and asked me to write an exam (IRDA) for which I have to undergo a training of 15 days. I have duly paid the amount i.e Rs.1200 for training and also have passed the exam but I haven’t got the code still because Rakesh Jain has failed to submit my ETP form on time. It was only when I promised him getting 4 more policies he submitted the form. Even-though my colleagues have got their codes in February starting week I have received it on the last week of February.
Being a new agent, I am not that well known to products and their benefits. When asked in Branch, they asked me to talk to my S.M Mr. Rakesh Jain and seek his help. But he is like always giving some excuses failing which I cannot even talk to the customers about it. I have tried calling him and even messaged him but in vain, he never replies.
Rakesh Jain is also being a family friend of mine, but still he never wishes to come to Alwal. The reason being that this man has issued over 13 policies here to a same person who is working on a daily wage of just Rs.200/-. He is due to many persons staying here in Alwal, but instead of paying, he in turn gives them a policy. These people have lost trust in your Company and have even asked me to leave me your Company describing you as ‘Cheating Company’.
When an agent gives policy in 2006 and when it lapses in 2007, but instead of convincing the customer to pay for the first policy premium he issues 2 or 3 more new policies and again when it lapses in 2008, he issues few more in 20008 without bothering about the person and only caring about his own commission.
I have many more complaints regarding him but it would take a long time to tell you. I just want to know Is there any rule that a person has to give 15 policies so as to get a Code? Also I seek your help to get the commission on the 6 policies that I have given and also the cheque bounce charges Rs.700/- and other benefits and also a cheque.
If you are ready to listen to me and wish to help me, I would like to talk to you. I would also call some more persons wanting to complaint on Rakesh Jain. I request you to please take some stern action against him and help us. Wish you too do not want your Company to be tagged as ‘Cheater’.
