[Resolved]  Mercedes Benz — Mercedes Benz - Tyre Brust in very short time

Dear Sir,

Please note that one Tyre of our Mercedes Benzs Car 2400 Model 2003 has burst while on road, for the reason unknown to us.

The Vehicle has just covered 29000 km till date and the other tyres are also showin a sign of baldness.

The details of burst Tyre have the following nos on it :
26196-26N12-D19-16819 of Goodyear make, made in Germany.

KIndly let us know the reason of the Tyre getting worn and bursting so soon agaisnt the recommended life of the tyres.

We request you to please replace the tyre as we are unable to take the car on road dut to safety factor.

Just purchased a second hand c class merc less than 2year old
Had the car 11months and just 7k miles done by myself and 13500 previously on the clock and the rear two tyres need replacing even though mercedes benz in peterborough said they had put all new tyres on the car when purchasing it

I am writing to complain about the slowness and carelessness of Mercedes Benz Egypt in dealing with fixing Mercedes cars.

I had a car accident on 4th October 2009 (my car is Mercedes B 150, and my name, which i sthe owner's name is Heba Yassin Yassin Mohamed El-Hamzawy the chassis number is 468959 and it was taken to the service center in Tahrir street, Dokki.
) and the insurance company has agreed to pay Mercedes Egypt all the costs. Mercedes Egypt informed me that they have to obtain the spare cars from Germany and that might take a maximum of 10 days.

However, until now, nothing has been progressed with my car, even though one of the criteria for me choosing a mercedes and not a BMW is the fact that i "thought" that mercedes service is better and spare parts are more available.

I don’t know what is the real cause of the problem, is it that Mercedes Benz Germany is late in sending spare parts to Egypt? or is it that Mercedes Benz Egypt does not send you requests on right timings? Whatever the reason is, a problem like the above DRASTICALLY and NEGATIVELY affects the reputation of Mercedes and my future decisions regarding buying cars as well as my advice to other people regarding their purchasing decisions too.

Unfortunately it seems that this is the usual attitude of Mercedes Benz in Egypt. My car is C200 K- 2009, chassis number is 22226 and only covered 13000 Kms, bought it 7 months ago. I used to hear some irritating voices coming somewhere from the rear part of my car while driving. I went to the service center in Al Tahreer st., Dokki.-same as you- and after several investigations, they diagnose the problem as malfunctioning left rear suspension. I asked to substitute it with a new one. I have been told it would take a couple of days to get a new one from their store, then they called me back to inform me it would take three weeks to have a new one from Germany, yes 3 WEEKS to have a suspension for a very famous car running every where in the streets of Cairo and its locally assembled!!!.
It is really funny that " the very prestigious" company doesn't have spare parts in stores and should ordered every time from Germany!.
I am not riding a Mercedes AMG or CLK which are not very famous in my country, I am having a Mercedes C200 K, and is not an old archived model but just 2009!
I share with you the same feeling of frustration and disappointment. I had before Toyota which covered more than 100 000 kms and still running without any complaints. Their agent (Toyota Egypt) is very powerful and never been told to wait few days waiting for spare parts.
This is my first Mercedes and most probably WOULD BE THE LAST, I would rather prefer to ride again a Japanese car -Lexus for instance- which might be not very prestigious instead to be a regular visitor to Mercedes Benz service center.
If you have any advice for me, It would be highly appreciated.

Mercedes Benz — Shock absorber arm broken

My E Class shock absorber arm which is an iron was broken on Mumbai city roads at a nominal speed of 20 kms per hr. Mr car is 3 yrs old done about 60000 kms . Daimler india agrees to give me a 50% discount on the part but not the entire amount . I have been handed over a bill of 2,50,000 for no fault of mine.

I was actually thinking of buying a e class. as presently I have a scoda superb which I consider slightly high on maintenance and slow in service.

but after reading your complaint I think that scoda superb is much better thug than mercedeze.
