Respected Civil Administration Represented by Collector, Police Administration represented by Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation represented by Commissioner and Hon'ble Mayor, we the poor people living on daily wages o[censored]norganized sector and domestic helps hailing from Cuttuck Road, Budheswari colony, Chintamaniswar and Fisherly Lane would beg to bring into your kind notice about a massive misutilisation of Micro credit funds drawn in our name by making us to sit and share our ration cards and voter IDs by three Mahila Sangosthi Leaders Named (1) Usha Nayar (2) Nirupama Mishra (3) Mary Nair who used to operate centers for various micro finance agencies including Spandana, SKS, Sahayata, Ujjivan, Bandan, Share, State Bank of India, Indian Bank (Microset Branch) and several other agencies over the last 3 years. In the last 3 years these three women have raised several lakhs of rupees as micro loans in out names involving close to 2000 + poor and impoverished women. But they did never care to disburse the loans raised in the name of our poor women to us, instead they used to provide for our services like attending to the meetings as impostor, signing the registers as borrower and identifying ourselves as members of fake SHGs. For these services we used to get very meager amount of Rs.500 - 1000/- (rupees five hundred to one thousand only) while the rest of the loan amount used to be flushed into general market through Mary Nair as daily, weekly and monthly lending at exorbitant interest rates ranging from 60 - 120%. The MFI which used to speak about financial inclusion, women empowerment etc., have remained mere spectators despite of knowing this fact, either for the sake of kick backs or some favor received from these Mahila Sangosthi Leaders. If at all any poor women who earlier assisted the women leaders to raise loan against her name is really in need of money, the Mary Nair who operates on behalf of Mrs.Usha Nair and Mrs.Nirupama Mishra extends the small loans to us at usurious interest rates ranging from 60 -120%. If we fail to pay these loans in time, her history sheeter husband steps in and torture us beyond description. Our small gold ornaments and even cooking utensils made out of brass or bronze are kept as security while paying loans to us and they pledge these gold ornaments with various money lenders like Mannappuram Gold and IIFL. If the district administration verified the amount of gold pledged in the name of Mrs.Nirupama Mishra and Mary Nair and probe the amount of money flushed into the market out of micro credit portfolio, the skeletons would tumble out of cup board. We being poor and voiceless, we are not in a position to raise our voice against these atrocities. We are manhandled and misbehaved by the history sheeter of Mrs.Mira Nair.

It was during January this year, Mrs.Usha Nair all of a sudden closed her center by grabbing around 25 lakhs drawn in fictitious poor women names and handing over the money to her niece Mrs. Mary Nair who is currently lending the money to business people in the open market while we the poor people are made accountable for the loans raised in our names by Mrs.Usha Nair and pressurized to repay otherwise face the consequences. It is really a gross injustice made to the poor women by these three cheater women and none including the MFIs are coming to our rescue. Our families are at risk. We are every morning greeted by the goonda like recovery agents.

We being poor, penniless and voiceless need the intervention of police, District Collector and Municipal Commissioner to probe the issue in Chintamaniswar in detail and to make justice to us. Until the probe is completed, no MFI should be allowed to disburse loans to these three women as they are repeatedly using our identity documents to secure loans on our behalf even without our notice. Please save us from the clutches of these dragon ladies and shylock money lenders. Please save us so that you can avert a few suicides and distress migration.
