[Resolved]  Micromax / X118 — Poor service by authorised service centre

My name is Utkarsh Bansal and I purchased Micromax X118 on 14/4/10 for which 1 year warranty was given by company. The necessary details are available in the attached scanned copy of the bill.

Recently around mid-March, i started facing Display brightness issue with the handset and hence I contacted the authorised service centre-

The concerned person Mr. Shiva assured me of the services and apprised me of the problem with the PCB board of the handset. He issued a job card ( a copy of which was never given ) for replacing the same and said it will take 4-5 days till the new PCB Board arrives from the company and will get in touch as soon as it arrives and the issue resolved. But even after 10 days there was no communication from him. On being asked, he said a demand draft needs to be sent to the company for the price of the new PCB board although I will not be charged for it since the product is still under warranty. He again assured that it will be done withing the week and will communicate the developments.
But again 7-8 days passed no communication from him. On making calls, either he wouldn't pick calls or will pick and just say "I will call back after 5 mins" which never happened. Finally, after 20 odd days, when i called from another anonymous no., he picked up the call and said PCB Board still hasn't been received. I asked the reason for not communicating the same to me for which he didn't have any answer. Once again he assured that he will get the problem sorted out from a local Mobile repair person based in Kolar City and again asked for a week's time.

Lastly after 1 month delay in services (not to forget the last date for expiry of guarantee 14/4/11 was well past) , I was still waiting for his call/mail. Finally i decided to pay a visit to his shop, where on seeing me ,he again lied by saying that the mobile is not available as it has been sent to the Kolar shop. I immediately insisted on not availing any service from him and asked for my mobile which according to him was not available. But to my surprise, within 15 mins he reproduced the same from his service center which is located above his shop.

I am still facing the issue with my handset but can't go to any other authorised service centre because the warranty period is over. So, I lost my warranty apart from money and time spent on listening to the lies of the person and the issue with the handset persists.
