[Resolved] Airtel Micromax Mmx 300g — Pethatic Customer Service
My name is Mayuri and i have been airtel's customer since 16th August 2008. I happened to purchase the Airtel USB Micromax (thinking to be the best service provider) on the same day. This was however, activated on 19th August.
Since the time of activation, I have been unable to use this internet connection at my convenience. Its terribly slow (since day one). To access yahoo mail or gmail, it takes about one hour to get to that inbox page. The download speed is about 1kpbs and normal access speed is about 8 kbps, sometimes lesser than this too or doesn't connect at all. I have infact registered a complaint against the same on 21st August. I was promised that the issue would be resolved in 24hours. But Airtel failed to fix so, nor i received any call about the updates. Later the following week, I again called the customer care and was told that the issue will be resolved in 10 days, due to some of surveys that had to performed in the area where I reside. The issue was still not resolved after 10 days nor I received any follow up/update calls. I again called the customer care and spoke to few of the agents who advised me to call the engineering team in Bangalore. When I called the engineering team I was again routed to the customer care department, then again to the sales department and round and round. Then I finally decided to escalate the call and spoke to one of the Team Leaders at your center (in Delhi), he promised a call back in 2 hours. Unfortunately it was 5 days, and I didn't receive any calls from Airtel.
On 8th of September (hoping the issue to be fixed, I was off from my work on this day) I visited the Airtel showroom in Bangalore with my laptop and the data card. The issue was temporarily fixed by agent name Chetan. He very well informed me that the issue is yet to be fixed and would call me back in 2 hours. I was again disappointed after waiting for his call for more that 7 hours (as the connection or the repair didn't work, had to face the same issue). I called the customer care department, hoping for the solution (even after going through so many frustrations and misleads). I spoke to a manager by name DAYA in Delhi, he replied that there is no proper network coverage and promised a call back for permanent resolution in one hours time. He too failed in calling or updating the status. Later, I happened to call back the same customer care and I was again promised a call back on 9th September morning. Its 1PM and have not received any calls. Infact out of frustrations, I again called the customer care and got an answer of the issue being escalated.
I do not have any more hopes that my issue about the data card would be fixed. Its almost a month and have not been able to use the card anytime, anyday. Its high time that I decided to escalate the issue to you, not hoping for a fix, but I need a REFUND. I have wasted enough of time, loads of pending work and money, which is not worth it. I request you to look into the issue immediately and provide me the refund of the whole amount. Kindly do the needful at the earliest.
