Microsoft / Asp. Net Sql Server 2005 — Very poor combination for private hosting servers

I am a Microsoft ASP.Net developer last 3 years. I have developed one web application my self and try to host the same in one of the private web hosting server.

I struggled more than a week to enable the membership provider database in hosting web server. Also I try to deploy without membership database too. Nothing worked for me. I read many article, but no use.

Finally i decided to go for PHP with my SQL based web application.

Please be careful. If you have all the setup, something like all DNS servers (Own hosting servers), then you can develop application using Microsoft products. Otherwise don't waste your time with Microsoft.

Development is very easy. But other things are very costly. Also you can not finish few stupid things.

I have tried in 3 private hosting servers, no use.
