[Resolved] Ministry of Railway — Wrong info from 139 & website | |
Madam, I was to travel from Vadodara to Dehradun by train 2287 on 03-10-09 PNR no [protected]. The schedule departure of the train from BRC was 23:53 hrs. From 20:00 Hrs I was continuously monitoring the running status of the train every 1/2 hr from 139 as well as from www.indianrail.gov.in and till 24:00 I was told that the train is running late by 5 hrs. After 24:00 hrs I could not get the running status from 139- it was telling " the train does not run on the given date". But at 00:30 hrs I saw the running status for Kota Stn from your web site, as I was not getting the status for Vadodara Stn, and it showed me the me train is late by 5 hrs. for Kota staton also. The same has been confirmed by your customer care official at 139 (after several tryin 139 , the system connected me to the customer care executive) also confirmed the train is running late by 5hrs. But to my surprise, when I reached the Vadodara Rly Stn. at 3:30hrs on 04-10-09, I came to know that the train has left Vadodara Rly stn at 03:00 hrs itself. The person at the enquiry told that the train was actually late by 3hrs only. I missed the train because of the information was not updated at 139 as well as at www.indianrail.gov.in. The wrong information has misled me and I had to suffer. This is a serious error by the railway authority and because this many passenger might be facing difficulties. No information is better than wrong information and now-a-days earlier equiry through 131 is also not available. Railway authority must look into this matter seriously and take corrective action accordingly, so that this does not happen in future. I have filed TRD for the e-ticket (PNR No [protected], Tran Id [protected]) on 04-10-09. I expect full refund against this ticket. Kindly look into this matter. Mrs. Kabita Ghosh,Dy.
