yesterday (10th August, 2011), my wife bought a Pastry (cake) piece for my son from the Monginis Cake shop located at Monginis: The Cake Shop, 53, Clare Road, Saifee Court, Byculla, Mumbai. Normally my son would consume the complete piece of cake, but yesterday he did not eat it fully but left the bottom part saying that he doesn't like it. This was very unusual for my son to say that, so my wife observed it very closely and to her shock, she found that the cake was not only stale but there was fungus growth on it.
My wife went to the shop next day to complain about it, however she was told that there is nothing in their hands. They just get the cakes from the country and discard/return the unsold cakes after a specified period on time and they just follow this process.
I have tried finding the complaint number/email ID on Monginis website (http://www.monginis.net) but was unable to find it there.
