I had brought a Monginis Plum Cake 500 gm from an Monginis outlet in Kolkata having batch number 1108. Date of Maufacturing is 15/11/2011 and is best before 60 days. This was brought by me on the 25th December 2011.
While having a piece of the cake, to my horror, I found two small stone chips that hured my teeth while chewing. It was clearly embedded in the loaf and was not visible to the naked eye.
I shudder to think what could have happened. This raises serious questions about the lapse of quality control on food manufacturing.
Who will explain this untoward happening? Why should I not proceed legally with Monginis?
