[Resolved]  Mothercare — Cheating on Price

Dear Sir/ Madam,

My wife and I have been regular customers of Mothercare products for the last 1 year. My daughter's (8months) entire shopping list has been completed from your stores in Mumbai (India). I have always had excellent service and products each time until my recent visit to one store on Friday, 15th April 2011.

I bought a baby stroller and high chair for my child. The price mentioned at the display was Rs. 2999 for the stroller & Rs. 1500 (Indian Rupees) for the stroller accessories. However, after completing the payment the manager informed me that the price is different and Rs. 1000 more. I felt much cheated since the displayed price was different. He told us the difference was due to the colour. Why did he not share this information at the time of suggesting the product? I expressed my disappointment to him but he said nothing could be done. Given that our baby was comfortable in the stroller we decided to avoid any argument and confrontation. Moreover, it would have only become more embarrassing for my wife and me. We would have been happy of the manager would have just allowed us to buy the alternate stroller.

I did want to bring this matter to your kind attention since it has left a bad memory. I have all bills for our shopping from your stores and would be happy to share with you if you so desire.

We look forward to your response in the matter and a fair decision for us. The total shopping we completed on the weekend at Mothercare was Rs. 10,500 (Indian Rupees).
