[Resolved]  M/s. Suman Motels Ltd,Mumbai/Plantation — Non-payment against Bonds

in 1996 my father and some of his friends have
invested about 3, 50, 000 rs. to suman motels ltd.
h.o:19/21 parshva chambers, essaji
street, vadgadi, mumbai-400003. The company had its
branch in ahmedabad at 802, sikhar complex, nr.
navarangpura rly cross, bh vadilal
hse, ahmedabad-380009. we submitted our amount to the
same office.
after new rules of sebi in 2000 for plantation
companies, the company has not given any interest or
even our amount back to us. the maturity date for the
amount was in 2002 but still we are not given
anything. We have investigated for the company and we
found that high court has odered the company to return
all the amount of such investors by 2003-04. but
nothing has done yet. we have a video cassete given by
the company showing their bussiness all over india.


the company is stiil runing by the name of travel port
at 42, ambedkar hse, vadala, mumbai. and at many other
palces of the country. the company has its
own asset of 350 corers and they have collected about
34 corers from investors all around the country.
what can be done now?

I have invested in one of Suman Motels scheme as well and am wondering why all the investors do not get together and fight for their rights. I say the more the number of people the better chance we have of getting our money back.
We all are just questioning as to who we could contact, why dont we get together and file a case with information from RTI.

I purchased Suman Earth Bond of Rs.35000/- on 1.10.96, and the company assured with post dated cheque of Rs.6, 50, 000/- to be encashed for a period of 15 years in 2011. But as on date no payment response from the company. I tried a lot but to call them but no result. I sent back the PD Cheque as per their request but no reply re. my repayment. Since the company has now closed how do I get my money back with all benifits?

From: Vishva Jeet Dogra, I had also invested in Suman Motels Ltd vide Certificate No. 03469 dated 08/5/1995, Folio No. 3469 with post dated cheques. For the last many years I have never received the interest or refund of invested money. Now, it is not known to me the present status of theses debentures. Please intimate me the status of the above mentioned debentures and refund me the amount lying in these debentures.
