I am Rasool Mohammad. I've been using MTS data card ([protected]) for almost 2 months now. While buying, I had clearly mentioned to the sales guy that the main purpose is to work from home and he promised me average speeds of around 2-3Mpbs. When I bought the device, it gave great speeds. I could connect to office VPN and work without problems. I have topped up with a 999 unlimited plan and I have validity till 6th August 2011.
However, for the last 20 days, the speeds have gone down drastically. There have been highly inconsistant speeds, too much of lag, Frequent VPN disconnections, and average speeds less than 10kpbs. Attached are the screen shots of the speed test that I have taken. The max speed that I got in the last 15 days is 0.20 MBPS. The mode is broadband, I have full signal strength.
I registered complaints with helpdesk. First JUL/1395 and then JUL/1826.
The first one, they told me was registered with a wrong UMD number (and thats not my fault I gave them correct number).
The second they disconnected the call while I was still seeking help and 30 minutes later I get a message that this complaint was closed because I wasn't reachable which doesnt make sense.
I wrote to their customer care datacardsupport.[protected]@mtsindia.in twice and they didnt even bother to reply.
Every time I call customer care, they give me some meaningless workaround- To turn off windows updates, to deactivate Antivirus, clear cache. I've done all this and nothing really works.
