[Resolved]  Nandini Milk and MIlk Products — Price more than MRP

As per the norm, no product to be sold more than Maximum Retail Price (MRP) printed on the pack. It seems that this is not appicable to NANDINI milk and MIlk products. You go to any shop in Bangalore where NANDINI products are sold, they take at least 50paise to 2 rupees more than the actual MRP printed on the pack. This is particularly true for MIlk and Curd products packed in 250ml, 500ml and 1L

If you question the shop keeper or shop owner, you will not get product at all. From next time onwards, whenever he sees our face, outrightly shopkeeper will say no stock of product.

May we know what is the action NANDINI Milk and Milk products (KMF) taking action in this regard.

KMF can visit any shop in Bangalore and check themselve on this issue and confirm

Hoping that KMF will step or concerned authorities will step in and take necessary action.

Regards,

maheshrao

I also face the same problem, and I am not able to locate any customer complaint number for Nandini and KMF, to give a formal complaint.
I also faced the same issue.
Added to that Even the nandini Dealers are also charging 50ps more for curd and milk packets.

What is the use of the dealers shop when they are also charging more?
I repeatedly face the same problem.
Excuses given by shopkeeper:
1. We deliver it to your footsteps, it is the delivery charge
2. We charge for the polythene
3. It is an old printing on the packet, and rates have increased.

All lame excuses, and am always charged Re. 0.50 to Rs 2 extra.
We regularly buy milk (3% fat, blue pack). it often goes bad by late evening or early marning. there is no responce to written complaints sent through the local dealer. the local booth also does not have a complaint book/register.
some independent body should regularly look into such products and also collect consumer complaints on home delivered products like bread, milk and vegs that are day-to-day items.

milk packet — Extra cost on Milk packet

Hi,

Near to my house there are two Grocery stores who sells Milk packets. MRP on the milk packets is 10.50 Rs, but they charge 11.00 Rs, when asked why do they charge extra 1.50 Rs, they say that, these are cooling charges. Previously they used to charge extra money in evening timings, but now even in morning times they have started charging more.

Are they liable to charge extra money on the name of Cooling charges? Shouldn't be any action be taken on them?

Regards,
Harish
Just wanted to know whether any action is being done towards this. I face the same problem everyday.
Even me, I am infurated most of the spineless bangaloreans will not do anything about this.
Let us take it to the news papers. Can all of you please mail to Times of India about the same complaint.
Who is responsible for this. Why no action from the KMF, it knows who are all their suppliers and these suppliers in hand with KMFand they will not directly distributes instead it will go to the sub-suppliers who charges extra ranging from Rs.1/ to Rs.2/per litre.
Any persons sugests remedy to this?

sir,
The shopkeeper of the milk sells more than the MPR.When asked about it, they say that the milk dairies does not give them the profit. So they sell it more.so they are taking rupees 0.5 per packet. So i take daily two packets of 500ml and 200ml each.According to MRP the total amount is 15.00 rs.But they take 16.00 rs.If not they deny us to give the milk.So sir please take appropriate action against them.
hope you will take the suitable action.
I had a very bad experience with Homeneeds store in BTM 2nd Stage, 7th Main. This store is charging 50 paisa more than the MRP on milk and curd in name of freezing charges. When I took this matter with staff their behaviour was very stubborn. They said if you don’t pay more than MRP you can purchase the milk from outside. I wanted to know whether charging more than MRP on milk is legal or not as I want to file complaint with consumer forum.

I too face this problem daily. A Rs.4 buttermilk packet is sold for Rs.5 and a Rs.8 half litre milk packet is sold for Rs.9. I live in JHBCS Layout, BSK 2nd Stage. How to avoid this day light robbery? I had been in Hyderabad before, but no one sells anything beyond MRP in Hyd though there are other issues. In Bangalore selling beyond MRP seems to be legal.

The government authorities seem to be filling their pockets and sleeping at home. How long this robbery will continue? How long should we struggle? Who is the culprit? Why can't the authorities bring them to justice? Are the governmentt officials not buying milk daily?

We too are facing the same problem. We relocated to Bangalore in April 2009. We asked the distributor to supply us with toned milk, so he was giving us Nandhini toned milk (yellow packet). The MRP on the packet is Rs.7/- for 500 ml. We were very surprised when at the end of the month we were asked to pay Rs.17/- per litre, when questioned the distributor claims that toned milk is not easily available and the company charges extra??? We stopped purchasing the yellow packets and asked for the blue packets but this too he is charging us Rs.18/- instead of the MRP of Rs.16/-. Whom do I complain to?

Local Milk vendor — Price more than MRP

Any packaged milk sold by vendor, the price is charged more than MRP.

From the past 3 weeks there seems to be some problem with the milk quality (the blue packet at least). The milk has no freshness and emits a stale smell. Its get spoilt very quickly. I have heard the problem from others within our locality in RR Nagar. I am not sure if this is an isolated problem or others in Bangalore also have faced this deteriorated milk quality from Nandini?

I have the same complaint against Nandini Milk and MIlk Products that their retailers are charging more than the MRP.
I have got this link :http://www.kmfnandini.coop/html/contactus.htm
I have filled in the details.I urge others to do so too.
Have a look at http://blog.zehawk.in/2007/05/fight-for-your-rights-update-20.html
Even I have the same complaint against retailers. Irrespective of whether it is Nandini/Heritage/Nilgiris the retailer in our area (CV RAMAN NAGAR & Kaggadasapura) are charging at least 1 rupee extra on MRP per litre of milk and 2 rupees extra on MRP for 500 ml of curd.

At the same time it was worthwhile to know that supermarkets don't charge extra. So, the quickest solution that I could arrive at was to boycott the small time vendors who run the neighborhood shops and buy from supermarkets!! But one can't buy it from supermarkets every time. In an emergency one has to go to the neighborhood shop only! :(

Today I bought 500 ml curd packet from the neighborhood store and he charged 12 rupees where as the MRP is only 10 rupees. When asked the store owner said that we ourselves get it only for 11 Rupees!!!

I have submitted a complaint in http://www.kmfnandini.coop/html/contactus.htm, as suggested by Veena. But does it help? I strongly doubt!!
