[Resolved]  Nokia 5610 Xpressmusic — Problem with battery backup

Nokia — only 14 days old 5610 , display gone

First time i had switched to nokia, due to high reputition of the company, i bought a nokia 5610 for 14500 bucks and after 2 weeks of the purchase , my phone`s display was gone(the phone has a tft display) . The worst part is after sitting in the service centre for about 2 hrs,, i was told that my phone will have to be taken to the nokia lucknow service centre as it cannot be repaired/replaced through the kanpur service centre(apex, nokia care,somdutt plaza). i was asked for a period of two weeks,, after 2 weeks when i enquired about the phone, i got a very rude reply from the nokia care guy that my phone hasnt come yet, and he is not sure till when it will come,, he told me they will call me if my phone comes back from lucknow, and then he banged the phone by refusing to reply my further questions. Now 20 days have passed and i dont know where my phone is,, i have lost all my contacts, i am not provided even with a back up cell, so i had to spend another 2000 bucks to get another phone , till i get a reply from the service centre. Now i acn only cry for that days, when i was planning to buy an airtel blackburry, and instead i bought this phone. Please help me with the info, what can be done . Thank you

i've been using 5610 for about 3 months now, it gives good backup, 1 full day while working on all operations texting, calls, music n goes to 2 days if i won't listen to music. you can't expect much more than this with multimedia phones.

i agree with the complaint . i am using nokia since 2003, every handset i used had very good battery backup . but this 5610 have very low battery backup . just 1 day of backup in maximum .. i wonder ho nokia mentioned 22 hrs continuous play with phone .while battery goes off after mere 6-12 hrs .. very bad product from nokia ..nothing is great except its look ...

my mobile is continue hang and slow . memory card card not display in mobile

the 5610 is a &%$###ing phone man...low bttery and the $%^&ing software hangs her a$$ out all the time!

think the 1600 was better!!

what the crap yaar its comparatively a good mobile .u have to use it properly man.it stands for about 2days even i[censored] use it.

i have the same problem with the battery back up its only last for few hours.hence i have to charge my phone twice per day.what do i do?please try to give me a reasonable answer for this.

ive just got my phone, been 1 day and i go to charge it and it doesnt respond to it.. no phone is charging msg no moving battery bar nothing.. if anybody has a solution to this it would be greatly appreciated

i do not know i[censored]r complain has been resolved or not.
but do accept a suggestion of mine.
i am a lawyer in Delhi.
i would advise u to search for the address of consumer court of kanpur on internet and file an application over there. it is free.
then they will call u 2-3 times . and u will get proper decision.
trust me consumer court helps a lot and u dont need a lawyer over there.. its easy n u can do it all by urself..

i agree with the complaint.5610 have very low battery backup, just half day of backup in maximum

I am agree with the complain. Battery backup is extremely low compare to other nokia phones. It may be bcz of the lights which constantly blinking. whatever is the reason but complain is true. Phone is good but i[censored] want good battery backup, dont go for this phone at all.

i've been using 5610 for about 1.6 years stil i did not face low backup, few days back i went 2 my hometown The journey time not lessen then 6 hor. i started leasing music from my room and its ended after reach my home, I keep on played 7 hor. still there was battery backup, you/i con't expect much more than this I AM HAPPY WITH NOKIA 5610 EX MU.

Heyyy people... Im usin an Nokia 5610 for abt 8 mothz & noticed this.. In my battery the first level works perfectly & as soon as the fst level goes out, then the battery goes lik hell. Not even 6 hours... Only the first level works good... And when i updatd the software then it was OK for 1 moth like, Bt now again the same problm... Kasun ( Sri Lanka +[protected])

Well, The better phones they make the batterys are getting worse. They want us to buy more and more of their stupid mobile phones. THEY WILL NEVER MAKE A PERFECTLY WORKING PHONE BECOUSE THEN I WOULDENT GET ME A PHONE IN 2 - 3 YEARS MAYBE EVAN MOREEE!!
Its not only on the Nokia.. Nokia had the best batterys with the older phones, My mum uses one with is really old and her battery lasts for 5 days. These days on the touch screen phones batterys Are really really BAD. My friend has the same problem and I do have A Lg Prada and it lasts 2 Days sometimes 1 Day It depends how it feels ??? LOLLL

Battery performance is worst compare other Nokia phones. I dont know Y ?...

One more majar probles was sometimesimes hanging, if I press any button its not working(7 number button totally not working)

What can I do ??.. If you have any workaround or solution... Please update me...

The worst phone ever used. Its such a ...The battery is jus [censored]ing...

I ageree. Nokia 5610 express Music model's charger is not working more than 1-2 months. I have changed many chargaer but still the same result and not able to charge with data transfer cable also comment by Neha
