THE NOKIA MOBILE PHONE ADVERTISEMENT PROMISING TO PLANT A TREE FOR EVERY MOBILE RECYCLED BY THE CUSTOMERS/ PUBLIC IS VERY MISLEADING AND PLAYS UP ONTO THE PUBLIC SENTIMENTS ON A BURNING GLOBAL ISSUE IN AN UNFAIR MANNER FOR PROFIT. TO EXPLAIN:-
1. IS THE COMPANY SPONSORING PLANTATION OR PLANTING ITSELF AS A COMPANY. SPONSORING MAY THE ROUTE OUT BUT THE ADVERTISEMENT SAYS "NOKIA WILL PLANT".
2. WILL PLANT A TREE IS WHAT THE ADVERTISEMENT SAYS. HOW DOES IT PROPOSE TO DO THAT???. ALL IT CAN DO IS PLANT A "SAPLING". THE TERM TREE CONJURES UP VISIONS OF LUSH GREEN TREES IN FORESTS WITH ITS ASSOCIATED PUBLIC BENEFITS, WHICH IS VERY MISLEADING.
RECOMMENDATIONS.
1. CHANGE THE ADVERTISEMENT TO SAY" NOKIA PROMISES TO SPONSOR A SAPLING FOR EVERY PHONE RECYCLED WITH NOKIA"
2. IT MUST ALSO HAVE A SITE IN INDIA, OUR COUNTRY WHERE THE ADVERTISEMENT IS BEING AIRED, TO SHOW RESULTS/ EFFORTS OF REAFFORESTATION, WHICH IS NOT SO PRESENTLY. MERELY PROMISING/ SPONSORING SMALL "PLANTING CEREMONIES IN SMALL AREAS" IS CONTRARY TO THE ASSOCIATION OF THE ADVERTISEMENT WITH "FORESTS". FAILING WHICH IT MUST APOLOGISE AND WITHDRAW THE ADVERTISEMENT IMMEDIATELY.

Nokia Mobile Handset 6600 — non-functioning of the handset despite repeated repairs carried out by NOKIA CARE - MILAPS ELECTRONICS, SITABULDI, NAGPUR.

I had purchased a Nokia mobile hand set - Model No. 6600 in the month of October,2006. Till December,2009, it was functionining very well to my entire satisfaction. However, later on it started giving problems like non-opening of folders, non-performing Bluetooth functions, etc. for which I visited your Nokia Care Centre at Sanskrutik Sankul, Sitabuldi Nagpur, who after verifying the hand set gave me an estimate of Rs.1750/- for software updation. I was told that the handset would have to be sent to Delhi and it will be returned to me after 15/20 days to which I agreed. However, on the 15th December,2009,, i.e. after just 3 days of my lodging the hand set with them, I received a phone call from M/s Milaps Electronics informing me that the handset was ready for delivery duly repaired. I took the delivery of the same on the 15th December,2009. The handset worked for 2./ 3 days and again started giving the same problems. Since the handset was covered under repairs guarantee, I again deposited the same with M/s Milaps Electronics. Since then, till date, I had given my handset to them for the same problems 5 times, but the problem with the handset is not repaired and as on date my handset is lying dead without any use to me. I had also lodged complaints on customer care helpline[protected] on 2/3 occasions.

I feel that the world's topmost mobile company is just fooling the crores of customers in India on the pretext of best customer service in the world.

Mine is the latest example in this regard. We all, aggrieved by the company's apathy towards customer complaints should join our hands and knock the doors of consumer forum to seek redressal of our grievances against such a reputed company world over to expose it's apathy towards customers.
