I purchased NOKIA 6708 model on 31st December, 2006 from NOKIA Priority Dealer (15/16, Dr. Nair Road, T. Nagar, Chennai – 600 017). In the first five months, it was working well and later there were problems in respect of incoming calls and SMS.

When I took it to the NOKIA Priority Dealer (where I purchased), I was advised by them to contact the NOKIA Help Line. When I contacted NOKIA helpline several times, they instructed me to follow various trouble shooting methods like switch off and on, remove and reinsert the SIM card, check the call settings, try the SIM with other mobiles, etc. All that worked out to be short lived strategy and the problem persisted. Finally, in October 2007, the problem aggravated and my mobile did not receive any incoming calls. At last, NOKIA Help Line advised me to get in touch with the nearest NOKIA Care.

I went to NOKIA Care (S.R. Trading, No. 101, Eldams Road, Teynampet, Chennai – 600 018) and submitted my NOKIA 6708 mobile for repair. The details of my visits are as follows:

Every time my handset was returned but the problem continued. It was twice sent to the Nokia Care Head Office in Chennai. But the problem wasn’t solved.

In the meantime, I contacted NOKIA Customer Care through e-mail at the address furnished in the NOKIA web site and they too advised me to re-submit the handset for repairs. I have given the mobile for repairs for four times and after my several visits finally the NOKIA Care staff agreed that it cannot be repaired and apologized for the hardship and inconvenience caused to me. They added that NOKIA 6708 is a failure model and NOKIA has stopped the production of NOKIA 6708 due to complaints from several customers.

I sent a notice to NOKIA Care and NOKIA priority dealer, explaining the trauma and mental agony that I have gone through. After that, NOKIA Care sent a written reply saying that a new swap mobile is ready for delivery. Based on that, I went to NOKIA Care and was shocked to see the sorry state of the new swap mobile. It looked old, shabby with scratches and when enquired, the NOKIA Care staff said that, it is a reengineered mobile with parts from several mobiles i.e., collection of working parts from various mobiles that has been discarded.

I requested NOKIA to refund my money Rs. 17,200/- as my mobile is unrepairable. But, no response for that. I have all the documents including the email correspondences, job sheet copies, Notice sent to NOKIA, etc to substantiate my case.

In the mean time, I contacted few of the owners of NOKIA 6708 in Chennai. Most of them have some problems with it and are frustrated with the worst service of NOKIA care. I am collecting the details from them to strengthen my case and argument.

I am planning to approach the chennai district consumer court for justice.

Nokia 6708 — FAILURE DURING WARRANTY PERIOD

I HAVE TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE OF NOKIA HANDSETS, LAST YEAR IN DEC. 06, I PERCUASED NOKIA-6708, COSTING Rs. 17,000, LAST MONTH, SUDDENDLY IT STARTED PROBLEM IN FUNCTIONING, I WENT TO NOKIA CARE IN GHAZIABAD, THEY ASK ME TO SUBMIT THE HANDSET, JOB SHEET NUMBER[protected]/071013/28, DATED- 13.10.2007, AFTER 15 DAYS, THEY INFORMED ME THAT HAND SET IS DEAD AND WE WILL GIVE YOU NEW HAND SET, AFTER REPEATED CALLS, THEY ARE NOT ANSWERING ME, AND I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANYTHING FROM THEM, IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO HANDLE NOKIA CUSTOMER CARE, THEY EVEN DO NOT PIC UP PHONE CALSS.
I purchases Nokia 6708 in August 2006 and I got a chance to service it in Feb 2007 in Nokia priority center. The serviced it because it was on warranty period then. The issue i had was I didnt receive calls, my colleague would get calls who sits next to me but I will not...my colleageu and I had taken connection from Hutch. This problem occurred many times.. and I had to switch off and switch on the handset...then i would work fine..but soon it will go back to its original state where people will not be able to reach me...
When I contacted the Nokia Priority center at Mount Road, chennai, they agreed to service to mobile, but after 3 weeks they retruned it to me without servicing it... these three weeks they didnt even bother to call me and update me that it cannot be serviced...
I bought this mobile for 21k...I see no sign of help from Nokia (website, customer care, priority center).

Nokia should have the moral responsibility provide support for their product. If they have withdrawn the product from production that doesnt mean that they will not support it...they should have got back the handsets from the owners... and they should have claimed that they produced one more failure model with courage...

Is there a way to get this fixed legally and make nokia the manufacture accountable for his failure product...Consumer should not suffer for the manufactures fault...

I purchased Nokia 6708 on August 2006 from Nokia priority dealer in Salt Lake Kolkata for about 19000 rupees. Last year I had a problem in swithing on the mobile. I went to Nokia priority dealer when warranty was still there. They fixed the problem.

Few days back my touch screen started working erratically. I took it to my nearest Nokia care center. I was willing to pay for repair. But I was amazed to hear from them that it cannot be repaired. They said no one can repair it.

So much for Nokia brand name and their customer service. You pay for a costly phone and company decides to call off its production and you are in soup, no spare parts.

I too have Nokia 6708 and same problem coming for me and after switch off and on the incoming call comes for only one time and every time I have to switch off and switch on the mobile. Please let me know if you get some solution to this problem. I will also communicate you if I get any.

atuly i purhase nokia 6708 about two yr ago. but now the warrent period almost finished. and now i have some problem on hagging the mobile . i also changed my harger but the problem remain. an u tell me anybody pls . what can i do now.

THE PROBLEM OF MY MOBILE 6708 IS WRITE TEXT...
(and the same problem can been seen at web for nokia 6708)

AS I AM ALWAYS GETTING BACK THE MY MOBILE WIHTOUR REPAING,

such big company should care for his customers, either the company should provide all the software in free of cost or replace our mobile 6708 to maintain its reputation
Dear Friend,

Don't leave them. Thease people are wont bother about customer problems, but they want our money.
Drag them court. File suit on M/s.Noika, for your loss of Money, time and for mental torture.
Even My Nokia 6708 has problems, it does not switch on when i try to switch it on it shows NOKIA screen only and does not get switched on, I do not have the same problem as you all but I too have a problem with 6708. I got it repaired and now within a week it has returned to the same condition

Nokia 6708 — nokia customer care has mess up my handset

I gone for the service and some screen problem in the running condition but they mess up my handset and now it is totally dead. I spend more than Rs.5600/- but they spoil it and now it is in non working condition.
I want the handset as in given condition outer wise i need full amoount of hand set with time consuming which effect to my professional.
I had 6708 mobile. For this i could not able to got even a panel(housing). Touch screen not working offenly.If any one willing to sell only housing. Pls email to [protected]@yahoo.co.in
very very poor response from nokia care better pls buy another brands like samsung, sony, etc...

    Respected sir, I purchased i nokia 2310 on Feb08, Now the problem is i am calling a number and I am listioning their voice but they are not listioning my voice. This is the same, repeating in different number, from 1st day of this handset. i have a vodafone number, but before this handset I never felt this type of problem in same number. So please tell me what is the exact problem & how can i relief from it,

      sir,
      i bought a nokia 6030 mobile from the nokia store at MI road jaipur on 23 july 2007 ,but just after 5 days it went dead,than igave the set to nokia care center at tonk phatak jaipur,but the problem remains the same,till then i have given the set 4 time to the same for repairment ,but of no use.the attidude of the care center is quite iresponsible,i ask you, cant a average person get justice against these multinational companies,OR IS THESE FORUM JUST FOR RICH PEOPLE.i want answer or if you can ,grant justice

        respected sir,
        I am going to HCL nokia care till last 7 days, they saying me that my computer has not working that's why I can't be check ur cell that It's in gurantee period or not. Sir, I have original Bill of my CELL from Sardar Ji Phone, Meerut. I lives in Bijnor, that's why I have to go in Bijnor nokia care but they are trying to neglect me. and they want to earn money by me. they will try to earn more money. My gurantee period is over till 28.01.2008, so they will try that my gurantee period is over than they can earn. So pls help me. It can be say that "DIN DAHADE DAKETI DAL RAHA HAI" it;s not appering me only also more and more people. becoz there is monopoly of him. If anyone can help me please help me........

        Nokia 6270 — Unprofessional behavior of Nokia care, Vadodara

        Dear Customer Care officer,

        . I am the very oldest customer of yours since 1998. I have a very bad experience at your Nokiacare center at Vadodara. These peoples are willing to take customer's money only. Most unfortunate part is they are not ready to listen the customers.

        I went to get repair my Mobile hand set Model 6270 and told complaints about which I knew and asked the executive that If you find other concerns in the hand set than repair and I will make the payments but they refuse very arrogantly and reply that this is not our job.

        My dear officer, we are not mobile professional. we can just operate the hand sets.

        If after spending so much of amount (16000/-) you or your people will not even listen to us than it will be very difficult for me to remain your customers in future.

        I am a owner of so many mobile set from nokia, but my 6270 nokia set is worse . this set always not working properly, many time i had repaired this set, but still disturbing, i asked from many owner of 6270 nokia set, they all suffering like me. now i think that this set has a factory default and may be a wrong technical fault, so request to company to replace this set by a lump sum rate because the fault is company's self.

          Dear Sir,

          I had complained regarding my Cell Phone ie Speaker (Ringer) problem to Nokia Care, Mahajan Market, Sita Buldi, Nagpur - 440001, but I did not get any proper response from there. From 25 days I am contineously following them but they are telling me that it will come in 2 days. But finally today I went there personally & talked with the executives, I was shocked to hear that the Ringer will be comming in 15days. When I asked them to give me the complaint register, they straight away told me that we are not having any complaint book/register. Nokia is branded name in all over the world & if they are providing such type of services then it will be bad for the company reputation.
          The executives in this service centre dont have the sense to talk to the customer.

          I only suggest that the customer who is buying cell phones is for some purpose if he finds such problems it is better for us to have Landline connection.

          Dear Sir
          I bought Nokia 6600 on 17 Feb 2007.Intially there were problems of battery backup . the complain were registered at rudrapur on 29 /9/07 . nothing happened. again complaint was registered on 19/10/07. nothing happened. meanwhile there were problems of insert sim and i again complained on 30/12/07 . nothing happened . then i went to haldwani nokia care on 10/2/08. then my phone was sent to L3 delhi. then after 15 days on 25/02/08 my phone was swapped without my consent. and the phone was still in warrenty period. this swapped phone is more than 4 years old.
          for the last 5 months the phone was not with me as it was under repair. and without any satisfactory response from nokia care. in the end when warranty was to expire i am given a very old phone that too not in a good working condition.
          i am very much disappointed and disturbed as after buying a very good cell phone at a cost of Rs8200 i could not avail any service through this phone
          I feel cheated and harassed by the nokia care and request you to look into my problem and help me to restore my faith in nokia phones.

          In the phone box contains a Chager, Battery and Ear Phones set.
          in that box there is no handsets.
          That means handset missing.

          I complaint my area distributor because his response is very bad. i lose phone in caled box. So theft the phone in seal box.

          So pls sove my problem as early as possible.

          I purcheased new handset o 12/06/08 from Anmol Mobile World Ankleshwar, Ph No. [protected]/[protected] through cash memo no. 407 but with in one month ringer problem, so I contect with this seller but as per seller guide we submit our mobile on dt. 08/07/08 at " NOKIA CARE, Khusi Communication Bharuch 392001 against MO No. 3110, IME 61867, and we also wait on till date but no any positive reply from NOKIA CARE.
          So pls check all matter and cooperate me in this matter and instruct to ur authrisied service center to clear all matter immed.

            I have purchased Nokia N70 (Music Edition) in the month of July 2007. I have shown this problem in Nokia Customer Care in sector 22 Chandigarh. They have done it and after two months same problem is there again and again. I have given the complaint of Memory card and at that they have formatted the memory card and given back to me saying this memory card is OK. After few days the same problem was there in the warranty period but they have not changed it. I have asked customer care of Nokia also and they told me that the problem will be solved soon.
            And I have faced the problem of opening yahoo messenger. It is due to the old version of the software and needs to be updated and i have given it to Nokia Care in Sector 11, Panchkula for updation of the software but they have just restored my phone and given it back to me saying we have formatted the phone. I have reached the hutch care about the problem and they told me that the softwares of your handset needs to be upgraded. I have given again to Nokia Sector 11, Panchkula and after 5 times of submitting it to them the problem remains same..
            Nokia Sector 11 persons behavior with the customers is rude and not upto the mark.
            I have taked to Mr Malkiat Singh of Nokia. He assured me to give the solution within 10 days. but after 10 days also the problem remains same. and no solution was provided till date. I asked them to replace the handset but they told me that it is a software problem, so we can't replace the handset.
            I talked to Mr. Manjit Banwait (Head of Nokia Care, Sector 22) who has given the reply that please visit nokia sector 11 only. and they cant do any thing since the handset has already been registered by them only.
            I also talked to Mr. Kalsi (who is heading Punjab area) and Mr. Vikram (Head of Nokia Care in Panchkula). I have sent so many emails also but all in vain.

            Hope for positive reply at the earliest.

              After few months I also queried about this to Nokia Customer Care Centre, they told me that they despatched my battery, and I will get it soon. But till today I have not received any battery from them.

              So I request you to kindly take necessary action for my battery replacement.

              i had entered my nokia 2255's battery no in the nokia website a long time ago(august,2007) and found it to be faulty.the service centre also told me that my battery was faulty but said that since i had applied online i would have to wait till nokia delivered it to my address and they could not provide me a battery...even today i haven't got it replaced..NOKIA is set to lose everyone's faith...

                On 4th of Feb 08 i bought the Nokia 5310 XpressMusic . This cell gets into hang mode very often. so much so that when i switch it after struggling a lot with the hang mode it then takes me directly to the date and time screen - in which i have to every time key in the current date and time. This had become a regular feature.

                Hence on 16th of Feb 08 i went back to the dealer and got it REPLACED. However this new cell is also showing the SAME problem.

                Can you please suggestion what is the matter??

                Nokia — nokia 5310 xpress music hangs

                i bought a new nokia 5310 xpress music phone three months back from the present date sep26'08 ...the very next week the phone is hanging ...when i asked about it to my brother he said that it usually happening to this model ...so i kept quiet without going to the customer care center but now i donot know what happened to my contacts phone memory it is showing empty ...even i am storing names again it is showing that the phone memory is empty ...what i should do now ...where can i give the complaint about it and get it replaced ...
                we exactly have the same problem. and my contacts are now messed up. when i move them to phone memory or to the sim. same happens. anyone knows how to fix this??
                even mine.it has just been a week since i bought it.just the next day i bought it, it hung 6times in that day

                  Sir,
                  This is to bring to your kind notice that on[protected] I bought a mobile phone Nokia-1600 (IMEI: [protected]) from M/s Gayatri Telecom, 2, Khanderao Gate, Jhansi (UP), India.
                  From the beginning I am noticing that the battery backup off my mobile phone is very low (One day to one and a half day, with out any use). On[protected] I contacted Nokia Care Centre, Sadar Bazar, Jhansi (UP), India they told me that there is some problem with software and they called me on[protected] to repair software. I again went there on[protected] and they upgraded my software, but the problem of low battery backup still persists, I again contacted them on[protected] and told them that the problem is still as such, than they again told me to come on[protected] to show this phone to their engineer, because on[protected] engineer was not available. I again contacted Nokia Care, Sadar Bazar, Jhansi (UP) India on[protected]. On[protected] I was informed that my battery was not working properly and they told me that they are going to replace this battery and on[protected] they make a battery change note and they called me on[protected] to receive the battery. When I came to Nokia Care, Sadar Bazar, Jhansi (UP) India to receive my battery, they told me that now our Nokia Care Centre is shifted to Jeevan Shah, Jhansi (UP) and now please contact Nokia Care, Jeevan Shah, Jhansi (UP). On the same day i.e.[protected] I contacted Nokia Care, Jeevan Shah, Jhansi (UP). I was told at Nokia Care, Jeevan Shah, Jhansi (UP) that I have to deposit my battery for replacement. I deposited battery of my mobile phone (Battery No.:[protected]A22111102; Battery Code: [protected] [protected]) on[protected]. On[protected] I received battery of my mobile phone (Battery No.:[protected]A[protected], but the problem of very low battery backup was still persisting. On[protected] I again contacted Nokia Care, Jeevan Shah, Jhansi (UP) and I again told them my problem. I was told to submit my mobile phone to upgrade software of my mobile phone, I submitted my mobile phone on[protected] and I received my mobile phone on[protected] but the problem of low battery backup still persists.
                  On[protected] I again contacted Nokia Care, Jeevan Shah, Jhansi (UP) their, I was told to submit my mobile phone because they want to send my mobile to company for repairing. I again submitted my mobile phone on[protected] to Nokia Care, Jeevan Shah, Jhansi (UP) India and I received my mobile phone on[protected], but same problem of low battery backup was still persisting.
                  Sir, I think that there is some serious problem in my mobile phone which is not repairable and I requested to Nokia Care, Jeevan Shah, Jhansi (UP) India kindly replace my mobile phone as soon as possible.
                  On[protected] I again contacted Nokia Care, Jeevan Shah, Jhansi (UP) India and gave my problems in written. The Incharge of Nokia Care, Jeevan Shah, Jhansi (UP) India has denied to received my complaint and misbehaved with me

                  Complaints about low battery backup or short talk time is a common issue in India, not only to Nokia, but also to all other mobile manufacturers.

                  Let me tell you the real reason: operator Network parameter differences between India and other countries. Advertised standby time or talk time is measured with some conditions: e.g. LG phone, standby time is measured with Paging Period 2. Talk time is measured under condition PCL (Power Control Level/GSM)10. But unfortunately, in many cases, especially in India rural area, Phone Tx power is much higher than test conditions.

                  Advertisement gives end users much high expectation on battery backup. But in fact you can't see this performance.

                      The Nokia Care


                      Dear Sir,

                      I have purchased a Nokia Mobile Model N-76 on dt.29.12.2007, but it was failed to function at initial stage itself. This caused me to attend every now and then to your Nokia Care centre for its repair as detailed below : -

                      1. First time it was given for repair vide Job sheet No.[protected]/080115/32 dt.15.01.2008 and returned the same on the same day after rectification.
                      2. IInd time it was given for repair vide Job sheet No.794 dt.31.01.2008, but it was received back without proper rectification on dt.11.02.2008.
                      3. Again it was given on 11.0.2008 vide Job Sheet No.[protected]/080211/2 and the same has been commented with the fault that Automatic Phone Restart, BSNL SIM not accept, two time repeat failure Job No.31.01.2008/794, Job No.[protected]/080116/6, send to HCL.

                      I fail to understand what is the mistake I have done by purchasing a world repute Nokia Cell. The very purpose of spending such a huge amount for the cell has been miserably failed at the beginning itself. I am in bit of surprise how I could come over from such big trap, which I never experienced from any branded item.

                      Now you are really understood what the agony is going around with such a customer who always stood with a renowned and reputed Nokia hand set.

                      This is the pathetic face of a customer which I have described above, which no one cannot turn down or deny his right to have better performance of the instrument for which he had paid for.

                      I hope to have an immediate replacement of my hand set without further relying the period of rectification of cell and its performance.

                        Dear Sir,
                        I have purchased the nokia N72 mobile phone in 30/03/2007 from M/S A to Z mobile, johnstonganj,Allahabad. U.P.T.T no.0382601 after the purchase the set was not working properly including the battery back-up .
                        The mobile was examined by the Nokia Care Center at Lucknow, they took the mobile and battery with them for 2 months,the battery bearing no. N503N1UC75380 (the battery which is supplied with the mobile set at the time of purchase)was replaced by battery no.0314F20842621.
                        Even then the phone and battery was not working properly so i have approched the nokia care centre at Allahabad,they checked and found the phone problem and circuit problem in the set and corrected it but problem in the battery could not be corrected. This step was taken within the warranty period.
                        Therefore I request the nokia care centre at Allahabad to replace the defects, treating it within the period of warranty,because it could had been replaced when it was given to your nokia care centre for removing the defects.
                        Nokia care centre at Allahabad refused to replace the battery because now it is beyond the warranty period. The battery should have been replaced by Nokia care centre at Allahabad when it was given within the warranty period. I therefore request you to replace the battery treating it within the warranty period.

                        Nokia N 72 — LOUSY PHONE & LOUSY WARRANTY/SERVICE.

                        I bought N72 for 10800 Rs. on 12800/- from authorized shop with bill on 12 Aug 07 in Punjgutta, Hyderabad. In last 11 months, I have visited personally atleast five times to get my phone repaired. Now it has been almost a month since I have given the phone for repair as the same is dead now. Nokia is claiming that it is liquid locked, which is not the case but they have refused to repair or replace, despite the fact that the warranty is still valid.
                        i have purchased the nokia n72 mobile phone in 5/07/08 from Prime Associates Maligaon, Guwahati, INEI No. [protected] after the purchase the set was not woring properly including its GPRS service.I would not able to send even an e-mail till now, i contacted BSNL office they were saying that there is a problem with my set than i have approached many times the vendor at Guwahati Maligaon, they were continuing saying by last more than 20 days that they will correct defects but no action was taken and i din't get any reply from them so far.now they are saying to purchse new mobile when last date reached.the phone should have been replaced by nokia care centre at Guwahati, maligaon when it was given within the warranty period, i therefore request you to replace my mobile phone treating it within the warranty period.

                          Within the purchase of the Reliance Mobile from Reliance webworld - Mount Road ( 2505 Model ) , i had given it for service for 2 times to Raksha Impex, T.Nagar, based on the advice of the Reliance webworld customer care Executive.

                          It was the pathetic customer support from the Nokia care, the mobile number provided will never get atteneded & even the LAndline Number will get attended only after 25 tries..

                          I amreally fed up wiht this sort of service.

                          Within 3 months i was left without mobile for more than 23 days as it was under repair..

                          Really do not know how a professional company is giving a worst service support like this..

                            I purchased a nokia N70 mobile on[protected].Its bill no is 2892.Ipurchased it from Nokia priority(Bagga agencies,Gondia).Its IMEI no. is [protected].After one month its memory card get currupted.I submitted it to NokiaCare (vashi branch,Mumbai) and its job sheet number is :[protected]/080109/41.Now almost one month has passed and there is no positive response fom your side..I called your Vashi CARE number several times.They said that memory card was not in stock.Is this the case, that even after one month you couldnot find a single memory card in your stock. I entered my job sheet number in your website the reply was"NO DATA AVAILABLE".I SMS job sheet number to 5555.the reply was"NO DATA CONFIGURED".Are you doing your job?Do you really take care of your customer?Now tell me what should I do ????plz do something in this regards.

                              This refers to the telecon With With Mr ABID of Nokia Care on 8th feb 2008in response to my mail of 5th Feb2008 attached .

                              As per mr ABID I was informed That Mesers Cyberspace, Nokia Prioity Dealers, Nokia showroom located at Napean Sea Rd Mumbai 36 are Not Authorised to accept or repair my Nokia Phone during warranty period and so Nokia Company deems it as "tampered".

                              Firstly this info comes as a rude shock and I want your written confirm that Cyberspace Mumbai Is Not An authorise Nokia care Center . For your info They Have a display on their exclusive Nokia Show room Saying NOKIA Priority Dealer and Care Centre . If they are not authorised I would like to know the course of action you are going to take with them for deceiving Nokia Customers like me for accepting the cell which was under warranty period for repairs ???.

                              Do you not agree they have no businees to accept cells from Nokia Clients if they are not authorised by Nokia ???? What punative action are you going to take against them and since they are appointed by you , you cannot absolve yourselves from contractual liability. You are aware by law, the misdeeds of an agent are binding on the Principal. My cell is still lying with them and I await your reply
                              urgently.

                              I am contemplating legal action as well as taking up the matter with the consumer court.

                              on 8.1.08 Cyber space asks us top collect phone back saying it is unrepairable.

                              Since you say you have not got all the communications to my complaint, I am attaching the full string of communications with me and customer care incase you are genuinely interested in going deep into a customer's complaint and willing to accept that there are glaring deficiencies with Nokia Customer care.

                              Also please note the latest developments of my case.

                              I returned the phone to Ms Cyber Space on 2.1.08.
                              They today inform me that they sent the phone to the main Nokia Care Centre at Phoenix Mills , lower parel and the cell is returned back unrepaired.
                              Today , ie. on 8.1.08 they have advised me that the cell is " un repairable" and I can come collect the phone back from them .

                              Isnt this kind of ridiculous ???? My cell which is well in warranty period is being returned back saying it is " unrepairable" and I am supposed to accept this with a smile and laud Nokia for its wonderful customer care ??? I have asked Cyber Space, your authorised service agents , to give me in writing that my phone is "unrepairable " but they are not willing to do this ........naturally ! Why cant they officially give me in writing ???? Is it that they will be caught on they wrong foot if I take a legal course of action. ??

                              Pl guide me what to do ? I want to know what next ????

                              Firstly , by doing this they showed total apathy to a Nokia customer's genuinity and just tried to pass the buck. A display of no consideration to a customer's word.

                              Secondly, when I asked that I would like to speak to the manager of the Service Centre they...... point blank refused !!!. This is a closed door policy of customer service and unacceptable by any standards.


                              Thirdly when I spoke to Nokia care at 30303838 , Mr Abhishek could not convince the service centre at Phonix mills to accept my phone. You may pl hear the recorded conversations .


                              I was forced to go from pillar to post and had to go back to Ms Cyber Space Telecom Napean sea Rd and tell them that the Main Service centre at Phoenix Mills refused to accept my phone. Ms Cyber space then tell me that they dont know how that could happen because when they checked my phone on 1.1.08 they claim to have entered their investigation report in the Nokia Main frame computer which would reflect at the Nokia Care Centre. Why this did not happen is anybodys guess. ???

                              I am forced into a situation where I had to return back the phone on 3rd evening back to Cyber Space who I believe will send it to The Service Centre at Phoenix Mills and then the service centre will investigate and send its findings back to Cyber Space. This is a classic case o[censored]nacceptable delay, waste of time , energy and money, making me run around in circles in the guise of " Customer Service ."

                              Even your response did not show any concern nor addressed the nature of my problem which reflects a poor understanding of customer's grevience . Its a joke that your last line asks me to contact the very Service Centre whom i am complaining about and one that refused to accept my Cell for repairs ????????:

                              This sort of customer service is most disturbing. Someone heading Nokia has to take reponsibility for the injustice on customers ?? If Cyber Space Telecom are not authorised to "tamper" with cell during the warranty period then strict action must be taken against them. Why must a customer be made to suffer.

                              I would appreciate an immediate and appropriate response please.What do I do now to this dead Nokia Phone ?

                              I Have even previously complained about my N73 mobile phone but no action has been taken. First there was only a internet problem but now it gets switched off on its own. Today Its display was not working. Please do some thing. Its a Brand New piece you can replace it & give it to me

                              I (Mr. Armaan Shafique Hazarika) purchased one of the hugely popular products of your reputed Company [Nokia N73-5 (R-132)IMIE NUMBER [protected]] on 8th Jan, 2008 from Dibrugarh (Assam, India). But to my utter disappointment it has been showing a problem in its video/audio section which I was not aware of at the time of purchase.

                              The recorded video files when played do not run smoothly but run with jerks. The matter was reported to Nokia Care Service Centre here in Dibrugarh. The transreceiver was checked twice and Software updated thereby. (Copy of the Job Sheet with number obtained). But the problem was not solved. The Service Centre has confirmed that the solution to the problem is beyond their capabilities. (Copy of the acknowledgement obtained). It was further added that it might take around 30 days for the handset to be sent to Gauhati (Assam, India) for further investigation and this sounds very inconvenient to me for a new handset purchased hardly two months back.

                              I have purchased Nokia 5300 phone on 16/03/2007 from THE MOBILE STORE, JANKPURI NEW DELHI. After 8 months o[censored]sage I started experiencing the handset getting connectivity: drop USB cable connection problem. I approached the NOKIA CARE at CARE ZONE, Tagore Garden, New Delhi on 1st DEC07 and they were told that it will be repaired and you will collect it after ten or twelve days. After 12 days I went to collect my phone, the executive said to me “your phone is in un reparable condition and liquidity damaged, at the same time (in front of Executive at Care Zone) I switch on my Phone and the checked it IMEI number, Suddenly I was shocked, when I have seen the IMEI number, it has been changed and the DISPLAY SCREEN was disturbed. I was shown this to the executive, and then he said “I thought, by mistaken the board of your mobile has been changed, so please you re-submit and collect it after 10 days and make sure it will either repair or replace.

                              Executive advised, me before collecting your mobile you confirm through the call (mobile repaired or not).

                              When I contacted to Care Zone, they said me “your phone will neither repair nor replace.

                              In between of this I registered a complaint at Nokia Customer Care with Complaint No”. 2-2PPG8Z (In December 2007).
                              First time when I was asked about my Mobile then the executive said “your mobile are in un reparable condition and liquidity damaged, it will not repair”.

                              Second time the executive said “Your mobile is in tampered Condition”

                              Third time(9th Feb 2008) executive said” our Technical department reporting to us, at the time of repairing your mobile board has been changed and damaged by some technical reasons, so company is not responsible if any damage occurred in repairing process, and please collect your mobile as is where is condition”.

                              Today, ie. On 8.1.08 they have advised me that the cell is “un repairable" and I can come collect the phone back from them.

                              Isn’t this kind of ridiculous???? My cell which is well in warranty period is being returned back saying it is " un repairable" and I am supposed to accept this with a smile and laud Nokia for its wonderful customer care ??? I have asked Care Zone, your authorized service agents, to give me in writing that my phone is "un repairable” but they are not willing to do this ........naturally! Why can’t they officially give me in writing???? Is it that they will be caught on they wrong foot if I take a legal course of action. ??

                              Pl guide me what to do? I want to know what next????

                              I am santosh kumar and i purchase a nokia 5300 xpress music(black color) just in feb -08 month. and i found that it required to charge one or twice in a day. Its battery is too weak. and one another problem is that i am unable to play a group of video clips one by one. media player unable to play it has no any option for this or media player unable to play it automatically in series.

                              I have experienced a similar callous attitude by the Anand ( Gujarat ) Nokia care centre. The set ( 6080-bought on 31/03/07) was hanging up frequently..the centre returned it on first occassion on 20/03/08, telling that the problem is fixed and when again approached on 24/03/08, I was told that the set has suffered water damage and cannot be replaced or repaired! I think this is the story of most of the centres in the country. What a shame that such things are happening from a world famous brand company!
                              All, the victims should expose the hypocracy of the Nokia care ( or Nokia careless ) and get justice for teh silent sufferers.

                              i m tanvi seth, one of the oldest users of nokia and i have complaint regarding the attitudeof the employees working in nokia care. i had a simple problem of replacing the speaker of my handset. and first of all i had to wait too longand second of all when i was talking to that lady on the counter i had to repeat myself almost three times because she was busy doing something else. i expereinced this at the patel nagar nokia care.
                              what concerns me is that by this behaviour nobody would like to go for nokia. therefore kindly look into the matter
                              I had given my mobile for service on the 8th April08 and informed that my cell was not charging your service provider told me that I Will receive my cell within 15 days. But i m still waiting for more than from 2 MONTHS (10th June 08)with the same status where only the dates keep changing from one day to another without any proper resolution. Dont really understand it would take such a long time for the reparing of mobile in warrenty period at Nokia Service Station in Kolkata when Sony.LG, Motorola can replace (repair ) handsets in 3 to 10 days. The customer service is the worst I have ever come across ... and the best part is i have not received any proper response from your service centre ...Wish i had never given my mobile for service ...or further i will not buy any NOKIA cell nor advise any one to buy.

                              I had bought a Nokia 6233 roughly three months back. The problem arised just after a months use. My connectivity (BLUETOOTH)is not responding.Ivisited my local Nokia Care, TIRUPATI TELECARE, 87/B/15/1, G. T. ROAD(WEST), SERAMPORE, but the response from them is pathetic.They kept my set from 19th. June and handed me the same defective set without repairing on 1st. July, though they promised me to give it on the same evening.

                              It is very sad that a reputed maker like NOKIA is refusing to satisfy the customers, especially where there are genuine complaints. Nokia has to comply to the norms of a new product that is under warranty. It is not acceptable that NOKIA will not attend to the customers phone during warranty period.                               Dear Sir,
                              I purchased a mobile N-81 in a month of Sep-oct-2008. It became unserviceable in the month of July 2009 it was deposited in your repair centre Indore vide Job sheet No.[protected]/090727/24 dtd:27/08/09.
                              Approximately after one and half month I got back a new Nokia mobile N-82 from your service centre as my defective piece was found irrepairable. Hardly I use for a week the replaced new set started giving trouble to me. Once again I deposited my mobile to your service centre by Job no.[protected]/091008/21 dtd:08/10/09. The service centre returned the same mobile after doing some repair and told to me that it is working ok now. Again, the repair of hand set, I found, was not satisfactory and its functional keys were still not operating fully well. Hence I once again deposited this for your service centre vide job sheet no[protected]/091103/11 dtd:3/11/09.The hand set is still with your service centre. Now, they are informing that the defective piece once again , is being replaced. But it is not so far handed over to me.
                              Please note that during last one year after my purchase of hand set from Nokia, it is laying with service centre it self for more then 4 to 5 months, without extending any warranty period.
                              In case the new set which is still not handed over to me becomes defective during my subsequent use as I experienced in last one year, will put me in great trouble.
                              In view of above you are requested to extend the warranty period suitable for 5 to 6 months so that Its operational applicability can be judged in next few months.

                              Nokia — Repeated problems through motherboard has been replaced DURING WARRANTY PERIOD

                              I have had the worst nokia experience after buying this nokia c-7 mobile ONE year BACK on 14/7/2011. It has always been giving problems of keypad getting stuck,charge problem, blank screens, mobile hanging etc. The mobile had been given for observations 7-8 times to the AKSHAYA nokia care centre in Ashok Pillar,Chennai,TN. But everytime they claimed there was no issue till i showed them with proof. Then they suddenly got my the mobile's motherboard replaced. If there was no issue like they claimed they should not have replaced. But they did. Again the same problem repeated but it was 1 week away from my warranty period to get over. Still i went. The manager there claimed she wont believe me though i showed keypad being stuck with proof. She said she will keep for observation and return after 3 days(when my warranty is over) or asking me to extend warranty when its not my mistake that their service took so long. I used only basic like messaging and music but they tel if you use 3g you will have problems etc! if all those features cannot be used why should they be there in the mobile!Then i got to know through someone working there that its a manufacturing defect and people there will not accept it and told to give complaint to nokia. NOKIA SAID I WILL NOT BE CHARGED AS I HAD REGISTER COMPLAINT DURING WARRANTY PERIOD. Nokia told me not to collect mobile from centre as it will replaced But the people treat customers very badly over phone and tell you willl get only repaired device go collect!I don not wish to collect the mobile until its replaced because everytime the people there claim that no problems found in observation and not so customer friendly. I want this issue to be taken seriously and the mobile replaced! i am a corporate person and this experience is the worst and traumatic!Nokia is not treating their customers properly. Please look into the issue and reply positively.

                                Respected Sir/Madam,
                                I Dinesh M Malhotra am writing this letter with intent to make you people aware about what your customer goes through when he submits his Mobile Phone at your Nokia care Sub branch (Vashi Telecom). This Letter in no way blames only Vashi Telecom but the whole of the Nokia Support/Customer Service Team.

                                The Mobile phone I am submitting today is not a new comer at your Service Center. If I am right in doing math then I should easily say it has been running from your Sub branch to Head Office and back from may be past-30 - 40 days. Till now ‘2’ Job-Sheets have been filed on the current mobile phone and under the same job sheets the cell phone has been returned for the same problem for ‘6’ times. But the problem still persists and your Tech person will testify to it when he sees my mobile phone and takes it back again today at Head Office for service authentication.

                                Equally I had raised my complaint @ Nokia Care Hotline

                                Now after facing so much Hardship, Humiliation and Sorrowful service from nokia (It’s even more than what I can describe), I have decided to surrender the mobile phone itself to Nokia Care i.e. Brightpoint for a full repayment of the money I have paid for this mobile phone or you can give me a Brand New replacement Mobile phone for the joke your company has made of myself. It’s too time consuming and problematic for myself to keep waiting for that one day that I would be happy being a Nokia Customer.

                                To sum it all up:
                                1: ‘6’ Times I have given my mobile phone back to back (not even using for full one day after each time I received it) for the same issue

                                2: The mobile phone is not being replaced (although I don’t want to stress on the point of replace but when they can’t repair it for sure then y not replace?)

                                3: I have used Sony Ericsson and Samsung before. Must say their warranty is
                                Good. Sony service people i[censored]sed to say they that the cell phone is repaired, then the cell phone has to be repaired and in case if the same problem still existed they used to do direct swap. (At least from my experiences I can vouch for it)

                                4: Nokia customer care people i.e. people from nokia care service center and
                                Customer care both say they can’t help me in this matter , if the Head Office say it’s repaired then it’s not our concern. (I am just giving the cell phone back to u with the same problem….
                                Now! Can you please say to me or state how you people can claim this defective mobile phone to be repaired?)

                                5: I have spent over Sixteen Thousand Rupees to purchase this Nokia N73 Music Edition of yours and here is where the transaction of becoming a Nokia Customer has landed me.

                                Hence I want my money back i.e. REFUND or a Brand New Replacement N73 music edition Cell phone with my warranty extended for the period I have faced this humiliating service from Nokia`s 3rd Party service providers Brightpoint India.

                                Incase my Problem is not taken seriously this time, I intent to take this issue personally and approach Legal and Prosecutional support to overcome the pathetic service you provide as well as let everyone know how a well known company can misbehave with its customer when they don’t have the fear of law.

                                  This is to bring to your kind notice that i had purchased a cellphone "Nokia 5610" on 22nd December 2007.

                                  Upon completion of only one months time the phone developed a malfunction with the "display going blank" and also a "hang problem".

                                  I deposited the cell at Nokia service centre "Aryans Communication, Jaiswal Complex, 6B, Park Road, Lucknow-226001" on 22nd January 2008 and was told to wait for a period of one week.

                                  Even after passage of one weeks time the phone was not repaired and i was made to wait for another 4 days.

                                  I received the phone on 2nd February 2008 and was shocked to find the "same problem still present", even after waiting for such a long time and minimal usage of my newly purchased phone i was still facing the same problems.

                                  I again deposited the phone with the service centre i.e. on 2nd February 2008 and am really very unsure as to what to expect.

                                  My faith in Nokia has been totally shaken by this incident and also by the standard of customer service i got.

                                  i purchased a nokia handset 5610 on 12th january. but soon i started facing problems. my flash stopped working and radio button got cracked. as my handset was in warranty i gave it to nokia care(dwarka sector4) on 4th march. they told that they ill get it replaced on 18th march. They called us on 1st april but my red handset was changed to blue one. and the replaced one ws used for 10hrs.
                                  now again i have given them and they have given the date 22nd april but today they called and asked for 300 rs so that they can send it to the company as soon as possible but if i don not give them the money they will take one more month. please give me the explanations of this sort of service...

                                  I bought Nokia 5610 on 6th april 2008. Within 2 days it started switching off automatically. So i had given it at Bright point Nokia Care centre at Lower Parel, but even aftre repaiping the problem was still there. It happend three times, now they have taken my hand set for replacement on 30th April, & today is 20th May, till now I haven't received my handset. the estimated date was 7th May, now theyare saying that there is shortage of the handset 5610! who will believe that? Nokia is very poor companywhich can not replace a single (faulty) handset.

                                  I brought nokia 5610 phone on 23/11/07 and since then i have given twice that phone for repairing for the same problem(display chip is not working).
                                  on last time when it went out of service i asked them for replacement as my phone is a brand new phone with a proper bill but Nokia Care centre flatly refused.
                                  Well I shoud have read all these before I bought my 5610. I am having the same problems. I gave it EdgeComm in Bangalore thrice. Never did they gave back on time. first 2 times they gave back the mobile saying that its fixed. Both times it didnt even last for 1 week. Now I have given it again, this time its over a month and i have not still got it back. They keep on extending the dates..

                                  Any idea what should be done? I have called their call center, mailed them but without any success.

                                  I purchase a Nokia 3110 mobile bearing No.[protected] from M/s Shavik Mommunications, Shop No.2, Anand Complex, The Mall, Solan (H.P.) vide bill No.5689 dated 5th November, 2008 amounting to Rs.4450/-. Already I am having a nokia 1100 mobile. Due to the good functioning of Nokia 1100, I preferred to pruchase an other mobile as referred to above. After sometime, I found that there is a diagnal type line (breakage in LCD). But the function of the pictures was satisfactory. I was feeling cheated due to the line in new mobile set. One day i.e. on 11th December, 2008, I had to appear in the Court in a case and swtiched off the mobile four five times while going inside or outside. After that I found that due to vibration or otherwise, there was a breakage in the outside mirror and the diagnal type line in the LCD has been omitteed. I immediately rushed to the Nokia Care Centre, Solan and told the whole episode. They are asking for replacement of front body cover and demanding Rs.685/- in liew of that. I decalre that neither this phone was fallen nor pressed. The breakages have been occurred due to manufacuring fault/above process. Therefore, I request you to kindly replace the above set. If it is not feasible then front side cover may be replaced free of cost by directing the Nokia Care Centre, Solan under intimation to me. My Mobile No. is [protected]. If my request will not be considered then I will left with no other alternative except to apprach the the Hon'ble Court of Law.

                                  I bought a Nokia 5610 cell with a two year Manufacturer's warranty from a Planet M outlet in Dadar Planet M, Mumbai.

                                  Within an year there was physical damage to my phone which makes the warranty void. I am supposed to incur the cost of the repair which I'm ok with. But is it not the responsibility of the outlet to atleast have the piece sent to Nokiaservice center? Or can they deny that too?

                                  Is this something that Planet M can deny? Please let me know as I'm paying 1/3 of the price tag on the phone as damages.

                                      with due respect i want to tell you that 25 days back i buyed nokia mobile E-71 from hot spot dwarka branch but i am facing lot of problem so pls change my mobile otherwise i will go to consumer court...

                                      My N81 handset got stolen from the train when i was travelling to my workplace i.e from Thane to Dadar in Mumbai.. My handset IMEI No was : [protected].. I have approached Hutch care (my service provider), Nokia care as well as the police but still no one is there to extend any kinda help..

                                      pl. guide how to go about as i want it back anyhow..

                                      Nokia — Unsupported Battery With new Handset

                                      I purchased Two Mobile phone of nokia from surya communication a authorized delear, i received the unsupportable battery or other models of batter which does not support the handset with both the handsets, i mail to nokia & went to delear & service center, no one help me. After facing soo much problem i changed the battery with self money. Plzzzzz do not buy NOKIA mobile especially from SURYA COMMUNICATION gurgaon Old delhi road, opp airforce school & sector 14 market..........................................

                                      THE BATTERY IS NOT WORKING AT ALL.WHEN I FULLY CHARGE MY PHONE,IT WORKS NEARLY 6 HOURS ONLY THOUGH THERE IS NO USE OF THE PHONE .THE SONGS ARE NOT BEEN DOWNLOADED FROM NOKIA MUSIC AND LIVE STREAMING IS ALSO NOT ALLOWING TO PLAY THE VIDEOS AND SOME GAMES ALSO.
                                      AFTER THE CHARGER IS REMOVED WITHIN 5 MINUTES 5% BATTERY GOES DOWN WITHOUT USE.
                                      THE NOKIA CARE AT BHAVNAGAR IS NOT CHECKING THE PHONE AND I WENT THERE 2 TIMES BUT THEY ARE GIVING UNSUPPORTED REASON THAT IT WORKS LIKE THAT ONLY.
