[Resolved] Pacenet Broadband — Broadband Area specific monopoly | |
Hi, I am from Acme Complex, Goregaon (w), Mumbai. In our area we have Pacenet (local cable) broadband connection available. The connection they provide is not upto the mark and we decided to change the connection to better connection speed and plans from Reliance Broadband / Tata Indicomm. However, we came to know that in our area only Pacenet can operate and no other provider. This is highly against competition and monopolisation of the area by local cable operator. Even in Malad West.. pacenet exist they do not allow Sify and Hathway to be distributed by local cable operator. Pacenet Bribes the cable operators...
I totally agree.. pacenet is the biggest cheater in Entire Mumbai.
They have worst customer care and check the reviews on mouthshut.com.. WORST provider.. see proof in the video on mouthshut how they steal your bandwidth, they use SquidProxy to thread connection, they give you hardly 40% the speed that you pay for. NEVER NEVER GO FOR PACENET

i am living in Ambernath and here the internet service provider is pace net broadband . which is one of the 3rd class service provider. when ever you try to login to the net it always show unknown controller error in the 24 hours of a day the net is not working more the 5 hours .it is happening in working days
and in the weak ends on every saturday and sunday the net is totally down. no one will responce your phone call if any one by mistaken recieved the phone call they will reply you that in 30 minute the net will start .on these day but hey one man will reply you that is the payment collection boy he always come at the afternoon time when every body is sleeping or taking rest and when i call them to sort out the problem they recicved it and cut the problem last month my phone bill is 4 times high then the everage month.and the customer care is always saying the same thing the server is down we will call back when the net will start and u just waiting and waiting and waiting the call will never come i can't understand 1 thing they are a internet service provider and they don't have a backup server what the heal is that every one know that in the world of IT every small company also have a backup server then why they don't have this kind of helpful things . if any body in Ambernath planing to take a net connection from pace net broadband then take it on your self risk and if you know other service provider in ambernath then pls reply me

We also are coming across the same problem.
In Shimpoli, borivali(W), Pacenet is operating through Sairam.
We never get stable connection. Since last 4 weeks connection is down at my place & when I call they reply saying our engineers are busy they will come to your place tomorrow. But still the issue is not resolved.
There should be an agency where we can complain about such stupid thing.
If somebody is having any knowledge about where we can make complaint, please contact me on [protected].

The net goes down for around 2-3hrs a day ... most of the days showing error 678/691 ...
When we call pacenet they say ur local operator doesnt provide net properly, isnt it their responsibility to see that thje local operator is up2mark ...
Day before yesterday was a sunday and net remained down till around 4pm ...We were complaining at local operator till 12pm and then they left(closed their office) without solving problem ... And pacenet says that your problem will be solved tomorrow now ... that is 1 day no net ...
Again on monday no net since morning, reason ? due to heavy rains some of their switches were damaged. How much time does changing switches take?
Its been over 24 hrs but no net...
The boy they send for collecting money comes on time... They want the money on time ... but when it comes to service they s**k (sorry) . We arent even compensated for this loss ...
