[Resolved]  Pan Card — Nuances in getting my PAN card :BPJPS6107P

I applied for my PAN way back in march 2007 for the first time. Due to some reason, i did not receive it. The web page o[censored]TI TSL indicated my PAN to be BPJPS6107P and that PAN card had been despatched by post, but enquiry with the local post office revealed that no such consignment was received by them. I never received my PAN allotment letter too.I was left with just an acknowledgment coupon number.

It was after then my attempts to get back the PAN card had turned frustrating with the kind of verification Income Tax dept. carries out.I learnt that i had made a few errors while applying for the first time. i applied again for the same PAN through "change/correction in PAN" via TIN website attempting to correct those mistakes and get a PAN card.
I have applied for nearly 6 times for PAN in the past 2 years but i could never get back my PAN card which was alloted to me years back.

The reason being some were dicrepancy in my fathers lastname. [ None of my ID proofs including passport, voter id and driving license contains my dads last name, only his first name is listed].

It is to utterly frustrating that, despite valid proofs for
1. My First Name and Last Name
2. Date of Birth
3. Address
My PAN card is rejected for a remote reason.
Kindly note that I have also made filed my IT returns for the past 2 years using the same PAN number.

It is with utter despair i address this issue to the concerned department.Kindly do the needful to issue my PAN at the earliest.

I sincerely hope that this medium would bring some remedy to my complaint.
