====================
WE REGRET TO INFORM YOU THAT INSPITE OF KEEPING THE MAINBOARD WITH THE SERVICE FOR MORE 4 DAYS , THE TV IS STILL NOT IN SATISFACTORY WORKING CONDITION.
THE CONVERGENCE AT THE CORNERS OF THE SCREEN IS IMPROPER & ALSO THERE IS A FLICKER LIKE EFFECT IN THE tv.THERE IS A ALSO A YELLOW PATCH WHCIH IS VISIBLE WHEN THE TV IS PUT IN NO SIGNAL MODE[BLUE BACK]
WE FEEL THE SERVICE IS VERY MUCH BELOW STANDARDS.
IT APPEARS THAT THE BOARD WAS NOT TESTED BEFORE IT WAS SENT BACK TO US.
WE HAVE FACED GREAT INCONVENIENCE BECAUSE OF THIS & WE NOW REQUEST YOU TO CHANGE THE TV IMMEDIATELY AS IT IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY
regards
Jagtap

PANASONIC TV REpair
hi
this is in connection with the complaint of the above tv with model 21rx20c
with serial no [protected]
This tv has been bought thru vijay sales on 12/7/09.this tv is still under
warranty.
we lodged a complaint both with Vijay Sales & Hi velocity last month
on 15th march 2010.
one engineer from hi velocity came to attend the call & did not even
check the problem with TV[ did not switch on to see what the problem was]
and started demanding for the bill & mentioned that we are not authorised
to check the TV & if they do they would charge us visiting charges
if the bill was not produced.
We told the engineer & also talked to hi velocity office that they
should check with vijay sales regarding the bill details.
to this they flatly refused & the engineer[ one mr.nitin] just walked
away.
Note the bill was with our C.A & which is why we were not able to produce
the same
The engineer again came back after 2 days & did the same that he did
2 days back.,
Now after more than a month the tv is still unrepaired & we called
them again for the complaint, as we were able to get the bill from our
C.A
Now on 21/4/10,this engineer started demanding for a photocopy of the bill
inspite of all this he has still not switched on the TV to see what the
problem was!
How can one take a photo copy when a single lady of 57 yrs stays all alone
in the house.
In the interim we had to purchase a new TV since the TV sold by Vijay sales
to us was unattended for more than a month
IN this age where service is expected within 24 hours, we have been treated
very lightly for whatever reasons known best to Hi Velocity & their
staff.
A Brand like panasonic should review their service stations as they seem
to care a damn for customers under warranty & seem to be interested
only in the after warranty sets.
by visiting our site , the engineer has wasted our time money energy &
also ensured that 3 calls have been reported by him although nothing has
been achieved!
Since we have been derived of service for more than month , we want you
to extend our warranty period by another 6 months
We are giving you 24 hours to set right our TV, after which we will be
forced to take Legal action
Regards
S.Jagtap

Complaint marked as Resolved
Please read my e -mails with the Head of customer service, Southern region of Panasonic India. after exhausting all avenues at a lower level.
If this is the plight of an educated urban consumer in india having purchased a global brand like Panasonic from India's biggest consumer durable chain Bigbazaar( Future group), just imagine the fate of villagers buying goods from MNCs setting retail shops allover India as per the new FDI policy of GOI .
e-mails with Panasonic reproduced below:
Dear Sir,
I am still waiting for your response. In the mean time, I got really worried about my choice of Panasonic LCD TV, after I browsed consumer complaints on Panasonic LCD TVs on the internet. There are hundreds of complaints of
Pansonic Tvs going bad immediately after purchase.
There are many similar complaints for the model I have purchased and the symptoms of failure appear to be uniform.
Un-fortunately, it appears that Panasonic handles all such complaints uniformly the same way they are treating my complaint.
One such complaints in WWW.Cosumercomplaints.com where the model no. and defect symptoms match exactly with my complaint is reproduced below for your information:

Panasonic (I) Poor Service and bad quality of pictures
[protected][protected][protected]
The TV has started to have blurred IMAGES exactly after one and half years of purchase. As well, the TV has developed
a orange tint and is darker than normal. We bought it from Vijay Sales Vashi. The first technician showed up the very
next day followed by a second one the day after.
Both of them spent exactly 10 min staring at the Tv. First one noted something and second one videographed the quality
of pictures. They left quickly without even trying adjust the setting (i.e. tuning, contrast, brightness etc) forget
the technical checking. Next day the technician informed that the panel has gone bad and has to be replaced and will
have to pay Rs 31000. Everytime I try to call up their Chennai Office the call gets disconnected. As a customer I felt
more humiliated by their treatment rather than loss of my hard earned money.
I would request you to please look into the matter.
Dear Sir,
I would like to bring the following to your kind attention.
I had purchased a Panasonic 32 inch LCD TV from BIG BAZAAR, Koramangala, Bangalore on 14.02.2010. After 2 months, the
TV developed some problems leading to dark picture. Even at 100% contrast & brightness the picture was barely visible.
The problem was reported to Big bazaar, who in turn asked me to contact Panasonic customer service with the warranty
card. A complaint was registered and M/s DTS electronics, Richmond circle, Bangalore Collected my TV for servicing
The Job card no.is PI ASC [protected]. After 2 weeks, DTS wanted some clarification in the bill from Big Bazaar and
Big bazaar has certified that the purchase was genuine and the TV is still in warranty. All the required paper work
from Big bazaar was submitted 8 weeks ago to DTS. DTS has not serviced the TV so far and whenever I contact their
manager, vague replies are given to me saying that the model is old and suggesting that BigBazaar may have kept it
for more than year before selling at some discount and warranty is not applicable .
I am aware of the legal position that warranty starts from the day of sale and not from the day it was stocked in
Bigbazaar and discount given by Big bazaar has no bearing on the obligations of Panasonic in discharging warranty.
As on to-day DTS is saying that they are awaiting Panasonic head office clearance which has not come yet. A global brand like Panasonic can not take a stand like this when it comes to warranty repair.
Kindly review the status at DTS and I request your personal intervention in carrying out warranty repair immediately.
